ISLAMABAD – Pakistan suspects Indian forces are using ammunition containing chemical agents to kill Kashmiris and destroy their properties in the disputed region, a Foreign Office spokesperson said on Thursday.

“If use of chemicals in the ammunition is confirmed, then it would constitute a serious violation of international norms and India’s international obligations under Chemical Weapons Convention,” FO spokesman Nafees Zakariya told journalists during a weekly press briefing in Islamabad.

Zakariya also called upon the international community, particularly relevant international organisations to probe into such reports. “Charred bodies of Kashmiri youth were found in the debris of five houses destroyed by Indian forces at Bahmnoo and Kakpora in Pulwama,” he said, adding the bodies were extensively burnt and beyond visual recognition.

Don't think it is true.pakistan shouldn't issue statements out of thin air.it is not that people in kashmir aren't going through brutal repression but such statements if proven wrong would cast a spell ambiguity over india's other war crimes which actually are genuine.

A month on the Pakistan FO are very quiet about this issue - surely they should provide proof and expose India to the world. Clearly they must have proof and wouldn't make up such an allegation in a fanciful manner.

Don't know why you've bumped this or what you expect to prove by doing so. If you read the article you would have come to the same conclusion santos11 did in post #2.

I think it's good for both India and Pakistan to be suspicious in the use of such weapons however wrongful such suspicions turn out to be.
