I am not sure about the Eagles, but it's highly unlikely India will be beaten. Not by this Aussie side.

Yes Ponting copping some heat. He will be roasted alive by the media and Aus cricket fans if we are bowling Hussey to save Ponting being suspended for a match against New Zealand.

But will wait and see what the explanation is first.
 
Miss one Test match against NZ, and try to win this one.. it seems so easy, but Ponting doesnt seem to want that...
 
Man, I think there is no use being pissed at Dhoni for the Tendulkar run out. Mistakes do happen. Dhoni have done a lot of good things, and I can't blame him for one mistake.

Why doesn't Ponting just bring in Lee and Johnson to end it off?! Who cares if Ponting gets a one-match ban, this Aussie side is sure to own the Kiwis even without Ponting...

I was for sometime really pissed at Dhoni for that Tendulkar run out. I was annoyed like anything. I mean Laxman and Ganguly were off to the pavilion without contributing anything virtually. Dhoni-Tendulkar was the last recognized pair, and I couldn't believe they blew it up in the worst possible way, a run out.

Probably because Lee has bowled rubbish this series. But Lee is not bowling now due to the over rate not anything personal.

AB gave Ponting a massive spray in commentary before.

This is an absolute disgrace to Australian cricket. I cannot think of an explanation that will be adequate.
 
Dhoni is on the ground now. The physio is out and he is doing some stretches. Must have pulled some muscle. So nothing to do but wait.

Years of training of straddling the line all the time but not crossing it for good is playing in Ponting's unconscious.

I doubt they will declare today , atleast not before a lead of 400 .....anyway we will need 70-75 overs to bowl out Aus , so there is no need to take any kind of risk !
 
Thanks to Ponting AUS can forget winning this match now.

They should be watchful now, as its more likely they will lose this one. IND will have a full day 5 to bowl them out...

Don't think Dhoni would be able to effectively keep immediately. So, probably wont declare. However, hopefully get a lead as close to 400 as possible and end the innings. India dont have to win the match but they came very close to losing it.
 
Pitch is playing so true and Oz has nothing to lose.They will go for victory.should not declare now

To protect himslef from penalties. Height of selfishness if you ask me. The ball was reversing and he had Indians on the mat but he preferred to protect himself at the cost of the most keenly contested series..

Watson to is one big positive to come out of this series for Aus , looks quality to me ....has shown that he isnt just bang bang with the bat & more importantly his blowing has been very impressive ...this guy will have a long career for aus !
 
oh india please declare. even if the new batsman gets out first ball and his innings is 1 minute long, that 1 minute might prove to be extremely valuable for australia :D

Im not even a Aussie, but the tactics used by Ponting are simply DISGUSTING. If he really didnt want to take a 1 match ban against minnows New-Zealand.. Watson was bowling very well, im not saying they couldve won the match, but surely the chances of winning it wouldve been 10x higher
 
lol watson tries to bowl that short delivery to ishant first up but this time ishant is actually smart and evades the ball.
i thought it would be another catch and the end of the innings :D

Wont Ponting be fined/banned anyway? I think they are far behind the over-rate, isnt it?
 
it's unthinkable that he would do that even if he were to be fined.....there may be some different worms under the can.

Wonder if we will ever get to know.
