What's new

India v England | 3rd Test | Mohali | Nov 26-30, 2016 | Day 3

Stokes gone. Kohli giving Stokes back by putting finger on lip like stokes did when he was dismissed... Wo hoooo Amazing Kohli

It looked like maybe umpires call in real time. But when they showed the review, it looked like it was gonna hit the stumps. And bam it does!

Superb ball ash!

India are playing out of their skins in this series and winning all of the big moments. This is one of the bigger challenges that a touring side has posed to them in a while, and they are convincingly leading this series. Credit to them.

Meanwhile a totally disastrous day for England. All of the good rectification work from Day 2 has been undone.

England would need another 250 runs to even make the match interesting, and as of now I am considering that to be next to impossible. A Root hundred may end up being the only consolation from yet another blown Test in the subcontinent.

Fantastic performance by the Indian spinners, first with the bat then with the ball.

From 156/5 to 417/10, gotta ask Botham "Who are the teletubbies now?"

They have more players with killer instincts now than ever. It all starts at the top. Besides England's weakness against spin helped India's cause a great deal. Ashwin is on top of his game.

Is he injured? How?

Hameed seems to have cracked a finger trying to fend off Yadav. When his debut was announced I thought the Indians should bowl a hostile spell or two at him as he is young and could be intimidated. If you have a bowler who can bowl consistently at 145 kph, might as well use him to intimidate. Indians have been at the receiving end of that treatment for many decades, so it is time for payback!

After a bright start when he ended the first test with an average of 56, he is now down to 32 after 5 innings.

Although to be fair on him I don't think there was much anybody could do about his 2 most recent dismissals. Sky seem to be under the impression that he's likely to bat tomorrow.
