Wow, are we finally starting to get a tiny bit of respect here now?

Day 1 - India bat well, Kiwis are useless
Day 2 - India wickets fall cheaply, Kiwis are useless and will do even worse
Day 3 - Kiwis bat well, Kiwis are useless so the pitch must be dead
Day 4 - ???

This thread has gone silent after a heavy dose of schadenfreude.India to win it from here :)

India is focussing on Obama :-) not cricket lol

Waring for India...... Your Team is the Best Batting Team??? :))) :))) :)))

This is the true picture of India. When Balls does a Bit, they are 15/5

Nothing better than Young Pakistan Team....

Agreed. India has a very poor batting lineup. One of the luckiest ICC No.1 till date. LOL

Gautam having some gambhir samasya :))

achha hua, BOHOT achha hua

Hats off to chris martin.nz are without one bowler too.so real good performance and wow its against the no 1 side in the world :D

I think If India bat till lunch tomorrow and score at a decent rate they shouldnt lose the game!

A thrilling final day ahead maybe?

Looks like harbahjan may have to bail india out again with the bat!

ya.someone should win here.

have the Kiwis ever won a Test in India before, Ringo?

I know mate, none of us expected this either, just very funny to see. If we win it has got to be one of the most surprising results in test cricket.

I had a feeling you were going to say 'all cricket' but then you remembered 4-0 in BD :amin

i want u to win man,but urs and the south african teams always disappoint in the big stages, where u upset bigger teams but go max till the semis thats it.so it would be good for either ur team or sa to spring a surprise more in the world cups like england did now.

This thread has suddenly come alive like the test match. A gripping contest awaits us tomorrow. The pitch has started playing up and down and if we can somehow get to 175, we could have another very good test match on our hands. Anything around 135-140 , the kiwis will chase it down easily.

COmeon Bhajji, we need an encore from you from the 1st innings.

Wow what a turnaround....I was honestly not expecting this match to be a boring draw, despite the first 3 days. We'd seen it in the India Aus series as well, started out pretty slowly and 4th day the games changed. I've always seen the Kiwis as a team that fights well above their weight, and the BD ODI series loss was an anomaly.

But I was expecting India to be the ones to make it change in their favor, and why not? Well done to NZ and Martin especially, sets up an absolutely intriguing 5th day, and once again, is a good advertisement for test cricket. Once again, it's left to VVS to save India's skin, and I won't be one bit surprised if he manages to do it. If India is to draw the match, my prediction is that it will be the two current not out batsmen, and Sreesanth who will be to thank. He has the ability to hit the deck with a beautiful seam position, and hopefully he will remember that skill overnight!!

Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow.

Our own Pakistanis were also saying India will thrash them and Tendulkar would beat Moyo's record in 10 minutes :))
This just proves that in Cricket no player is a bad player and anyone can perform if they try...history shows that on many occasions average players have always managed to put in great performance atleast once in their career...provided they believe in themselves..respect the game and keep trying...Also it teaches a lesson which stronger teams and players dont seem to learn...Never underestimate:inti:ibutt opposition ever

India at least needs to score 100 more runs to stand any chance...Laxman and Harbhajan would be the key...If NZ wrap them below 150 lead then I don't see any Indian bowler running through NZ batting line up

Whattaday! Did not believe my eyes when read the final scorecard at work. However, job not quite done for the Kiwis, since they need to get 4 more wickets and that too before lunch to avoid chasing more than 200.

Until Laxman is at the crease, anything can happen. If Kiwis can get rid of him early tomorrow, I'd say their work would be more than half done.

As long as Laxman and Bhaji are there, India can even win the test. If India's inning last till lunch, my money is on India to win. NZ will choke and lose the test.

:))) @ Dhoni's comment to Sreesanth when NZ was batting.

Sreesanth was fielding at the boundary and Dhoni wanted him to move. I believe Sreesanth didn't notice his skipper was asking him to move so he sort of didn't turn his way.

Dhoni yells out, "Oh sree - udhar girlfriend nahin hai, idhar aaja thoda"

I also remember somebody mentioning here yesterday that while they were either practicing or playing, a couple of the players were busy chatting with each other and not working, so Dhoni went up to them and said, "Tum logo ko chai paani mangwa doon?"

:)))

He seems to have these comments in his back pocket.

Good stuff to keep them honest.

Kiwis are fresh after banglawash :D
It puts it into perspective a bit I think - both Bangladesh and NZ are not that bad. Your bowlers especially were awesome, and just the lesson we needed before this series, playing quality spin in the sub-continent. Now we see Williamson carrying on after his ODI century, and the rest of our decent batsmen catching up too.

Also can someone translate Dhoni's comments to english?

[Hey Sree - Your girlfriend isn't there, move in]

"Tum logo ko chai paani mangwa doon?"

[Should I call for some tea/water for the both of you?]

Translations are not word for word, but provide the gist of things.

shaping up to be an excellent test match, credit to new zealand for putting up a great fight. India will probably win but good luck to New Zealand

End of day 4
India lead by 110 runs with 4 wickets remaining

Laxman still there so i think india gonna make 214

Nz target 215 will be tough on this kind of wicket

Kiwis need to wrap it up indias innings an hour or so tomorrow

If India bat till tea I doubt we'll get a result in.

Good to see all 3 results still possible on day 5, although India winning is the least possible of the lot

India can win this test, if they are able to play till lunch. A target of 150 or higher, NZ will crumble under pressure.

There is some wierd things going on there...rain forecast?

Quote of the day from Cricinfo:
It came from Dhiraj Parsana. He has been copping heat for the last three and a half days over the state of the pitch. He must have thought the press, and perhaps even his own association, was going to bury him under a mound of criticism. Then Chris Martin happened. At the tea break, Parsana sauntered over to couple of journalists and said, "Dekha?! [Did you see?] What did I tell you? If you bend your back, there will be something in the pitch."
