why the heck is malik bowling himself when he has afridi and gul available ?

he should be aggressive and going for wickets here !

this is nonsense captaincy !!

Well that is the point..He is huffing and puffing to bowl that kind of deliveries. He shows agony in his face after each ball.

hes been like that ever since the beginning of his career you . mixture of being pissed off as well, who wouldnt be with xtra runs being given, and chances being dropped. i feel for the guy, he is trying to make his comeback and has the chances dropped left and right

When did you start watching sohaib bowling? From y'day? He clearly lacked match fitness. That's the whole reason they take chance when the ball goes to him. Start using your brain. I gave him credit for his bowling very early in the match. That doesn't mean i say he is at his peak fitness. You can see his agony.
 
These two destroyed us in our home series last year and are continuing the trend, some things never change eh?

go watch some other matches post 2003 wc buddy, he usually always has that expression on. he definitely isnt at peak fitness, just look at his shape plus hes 32, but hes not that bad at all..for now at least
 
Sad to see pakistan had no plan for Yuvraj. He has weakness against slower balls from pace bowlers. He often spoons in the air. Nobody tried that against him.
 
And Yuvraj was LBW - poor decision..

After his life, he just casually flicks Rehman for 6 over midwicket. He should have been OUT.
 
That was hitting leg stump ! BAD decision.

Yuvi gets a life - and promptly despatches next ball to Delhi....
 
Atleast 2 or 3 decisions went in favor of Pakistan like that. Hawk eye said hitting the stumps. Just like long stride saved Younis, Long stride of Yuvraj saved him. When you pitch half the track and get it on your pad way infront of crease there are enough doubts that umpires will not give out.
 
Yuvi runs - he slips - he falls - and we still cant run him out!

Not enough runs. That is the main reason. But field placements of Malik was really conservative.
 
Malik really should put some pressure on the batsmen by putting some men in the cirlce - he is just offering them easy singles.

I thought he was more aggressive than this.. the match is not lost yet.
 
I think we were 15-20 runs short

But if Kamran and Younis hadn't had butter fingers we would have been fine.

Good bowling Afridi. Without having any kind of magic deliveries, he was able to tie Indians down just by variations. It is creditable to tie down someone like Gambhir who is one of the best player of spin.
 
Seems like PAkistans 'senior players' are all hiding in their shells.

Malik on his own -out there...
 
Only positive is that I have Dhoni & Yuvi in my Fantasy XI
 
This is probably the worst bit of captaincy i have seen in international cricket. They should shake hands now. Hes still giving them the singles. No slips. Honeslty this guy has no idea on how to captain a side.
 
hey to be honest. i dont think inzamam wouldve behaved much differently in this situation. its not like he would have people in attacking positions or a slip. this is how pakistani captains think i guess

That's true. Always depends on individual brilliance. That can get you only so far.
 
that doesnt change the fact that situation requires close in fielders
dhoni provided close in fielders when needed
malik can learn a thing or two
 
yea i agree with you fully. im just saying its not that odd to see a pakistani captain just sitting back and waiting for things to happen. everyone is acting as if malik is the first to adopt this strategy
 
This team will come back with 5-0 defeat to their credit in ODI and at least 2-0 defeat in tests. I pretty much expect India to win all of the matches.

So what do you all think on this captaincy of Malik? Because it is the worst i have seen from an international captain. The commentators are practically saying his stupid. And to be honest, i can't disagree.

I have already given my verdict on his captaincy, he is not a man who uses his common sense. Too laid back and lazy.
 
India should stop playing Cricket for ever if they lose this....regardless of what happens. When you are in a position where 5 strokes can win the game and you have nearly 50 balls to go....!!!

Yeh i agree. I was going to give him to the end of this series. But to be honest, a club cricketer isn't even this dumb. Its pathetic to say the least. They need to change captaincy immediately.

It might be time to give it to Afridi. Even though he mostly bats with no brains. He is an agressive captain from what i have seen in club cricket. And he would have had the field up im sure of that. It would have been a different game.

I feel sorry for Malik, its embarassing watching his captaincy.

yup....very well played by teh whole indian team. they bowld well in the middle overs and pegged pakistan back. and great batting now. They deserve to win today.
