This is quite a horrid wicket. No string of consecutive deliveries getting up to similar height. As up and down a wicket you'll ever see! Especially down!
 
PAK 17/1 after 5 overs

India right on top. Most remaining batsmen will have to contribute to get a decent score.

Although the pitch is on the slower side I think PAK must 280 to challenge IND or have an explosive bowling performance.

IT will depend on our big hitters what target we will give India. If they get going then 300 is a possability.
 
Looking at this wicket and keeping dew in mind, I reckon 270 will be a very good score. No dew and 240 would've even been good enough.

spinners would have been clobbered on a low pitch

bounce and turn is good for spin....not low and slow
 
Pathan working-up some pace...138.9kmph last ball of the 5th over... quite quick for a medium pacer..
 
Zaheer shud be brought into the attack ASAP...the pitch has something in it for the seamer right now...
 
Pak 26/1 after 7

big runs from both these players would be good...
 
I hope Pakistan can play out the innings and don't let Indian get them easily...we realy needs this game to win. The players must give 150% if we can save this series.

Just showing the dimensions of the ground.. straight down either end its roughly 69-71m... while on the square boundaries its 61m...
 
Malik is really watching each ball very closely and not interested in making runs quickly.
His SR is 42 after 9th over
 
RPsingh bowling well here... He's looked a totally different bowler after his comeback from injury
 
Hitting across the line will be difficult but since square is only 61m it will be very tempting.
Can Afridi take advantage?
 
Afridi on this pitch isn't a threat..batting is difficult..batsmen have to apply themselves instead of heaving across the line like a maniac
 
I agree with Ramiz' comments. There is a lot sameness about the Pak batting lineup. Starting to miss Razzaq lower down on these pitches.
 
is rameez getting paid extra by the gwalior tourism board ?
 
What the hell are they doing. Batting way too slow. Might take the game away from us.

Malik is just a little too cautious, atleast YK is showing a little more aggression. Need to start upping the RR cannot wait too late as it will make getting 240+ very difficult
 
i dont mind them playing slowly if they are there for the next 15-20 overs. playing slowly and getting out is the biggest sin you could commit! hope we dont end up with 60-3 after 20
 
i think they are trying to keep wickets in hand....although they need to watch for bhajji and co after 20 overs!

Exactly. Its fine if they pick up their scoring rate to 80+ by the end but if they get out for say 30 off 60 or thereabouts, then thats quite criminal
 
Yk's strike rate is in the 70s now, its pretty good.

malik just needs a couple more fours.
 
All sorts of confusion.. edged... umpire not sure.. going to refer it to the third ump. Dhoni seems quite confident..
 
Don't refer to the third ump. The two on field umpires confer and the game will continue. Dhoni goes to the square leg ump to check with the third ump...
 
Dhoni's quite charged up now...! Coming up to the stumps and chirping away. This should be interesting now. Lets hope Younus can keep his cool.
 
It bounced man Dohni has to cut this crap out appealing for bounced ball it happens all to often

we've probably recovered from the wicket loss but the innings need a move on.

We 4-5 singles per over with the occasional boundary.
 
Yup.. Good decision by the on field umpires. These two batsmen need to get the singles moving with the odd boundary...

well pak team is lacking one thing after inzi that they hit four at the start of the over n after that unable to put pressure on the bowler by taking singles
