Usually Afridi has licence to hit out. But this was one of the few situations he didn't. And he knew that. Which is why that shot from Afridi was so bad.

Sammy is the kaptaan. Windies honestly have some decent players, if Gayle and Chanderpaul were back in, then like Devon Smith would be dropped.

Also, the switch of Rampaul for Roach was a big win for the Windies, India are pretty good against straight pace (Roach), but pace+swing (Rampaul) is where they have trouble.

In the quarters, Gayle will be in for Kirk. I suspect Windies will drop a spinner to accomodate Chanderpaul. Probably Bishoo. They are just trying as many spin options at the moment (as they already pretty much qualified before England match) to see which one they'll go with.

I'll be very surprised if Chanderpaul doesn't play in the quarters.
