It all added up in the end, but no Shastri, I don't feel sorry for the Australians. It was always going to be win/win for us :P

Best test match i have ever seen! what drama!!! laxman your awsome! ojha u lucky BAS****

Congrats. Great knock (and don't use that word loosely) by Laxman. Truely one of the best there has ever been.

Again it is Laxman or Dravid, not Tendulkar, who takes India to victory.

Congrats to India.

The last half an hour was just brilliant to watch.

And what a legend VVS Laxman is

what an innings by laxman....

im officially a laxman fan from today,

great win,,,great test match ...wel done india

Explains why some put Laxman and Dravid higher than Tendulkar when it comes to winning matches, that was a top innings!

Damn wish I could have watched it this, anyway what a player this Laxman is and a true tormentor of Australia

Was mad live, such is life about the Plumb out but India won and well done to them. Back to the CWG watching now

Great win for India, esp. considering the circumstances and the fact that there were players injured during the test. Laxman take a bow. You are one of our greats. Always were to honest. Fair play to Aussies. They strived hard , they had it in the bag when India were 8 down. But just tells you that India has that championship material when it needs it.

really?

When the 8th wicket fell, india was $10 to win and Australia were $1.03. OMFG

Full marks to Dhoni for his captaincy, especially in the first innings. The Aussies could have run away with it but he kept things tight on a flat pitch.

Phew..that was some game! Credit to both teams for playing out such a classic. Australia played like true champions and fought tooth and nail for every run. When the eighth wicket fell I was thinking that they would win very easily.

Full credit to India for not giving up and Ishant's innings was a pleasant surprise. VVS has always been our best finisher in tests and proved once again how under-rated he is. Kudos to India and well played Australia. This match deserved to be a tie but unfortunately for Australia they had to remain second best..

And yeah once again proves that the BG trophy is (arguably) the best rivalry off-late. Not the Ashes.

Yup, a loss is a loss.

Would have been some epic crying about the umpires had we won.

Yep you have to be good enough to take the umpiring and other external factors you can't control out of the equation. Well played to India and a cracking match, but really shouldn't have allowed Ishant to score that many.

What a match and what a performance from VVS and Sharma...really happy to have witnessed this match...and what a great advertisement for Test cricket...

Ridiculous, Australia really should have won. Watch India blabber on and on about this victory for decades onwards now.

Great match. My heart rate was pumping at 1000 beats per minute. VVS is the man!

woohoo. for a moment there the ishant sharma lbw had me going "not again". feels so much better to get a decision (ojha) your way hahah. billy bowden for president.

Awesome win for India - great news!!!

I really wish them all the success against Australia - they really are a fearless team going toe to toe with Australia!!! Much respect

1 Ozzie bahut ro raha hai...Kleenex do bhai...

No, im an Ausie so a good sport! India won and they did well.

Now{waiting for the next test** onto making India with a population of 1 billion Happy to watch Aussies win most things. Come on India cheer the greatest in the commonwealth on.:)
If your Indian even out of India get friends and family to go to the games, they can cheer India on and make it a much better event.

I hope some of our boys caught the game - I suspect they are shown live in the bookies too!!

Pray tell me, why should should incompetent decisions be allowed? there should not be any external factors deciding the game should it? (did you mean fixing?!) use the UDRS now.......

Congrats India..... I could not watch the match, but my heart has been saved.....
Any win against aussies are special nowadays........

bollingers injury basically cost australia the match, he was in a good spell before his injury sidelined him otherwise it would have been a comfortable aus win, the day tendulkar, dravid, laxman retire then the india team will be on par with bangladesh

lol. this is hurting some people so bad.

A big LOL at some aussie posters claiming they don't whinge.

Nobody's fooled.

You SET the standards when it comes to sooking, whinging and generally chickening out.

Peter Lalor, Jamie Pandaram and the borderline racist comments on Oz news articles etc etc.

Excellent test match. Looked like a very good wicket as well.

Once Dravid fell last night, I expected it to be a tough chase for India but thought one of Dhoni/Tendulkar had a big knock in them to win it. Amazing performance by Laxman.

Congrats to Indian members. :14:
