Dhoni shifting gears here. I reckon India will look to declare at tea tomorrow, provided they can hold on till then. After that, pressure will be on Australia to avoid a defeat.

Well here is the difference, the Indian spinners had little penetration but were economical. Our spinners go at 4 an over every over all day.

We will do well to avoid a loss here.
 
Ponting using the spinners for too long. Is that because of a slow over rate? Get the new ball now.

What Punter needs to do is get Johnson (whose tattoos I must say are an inspiration) from one end and pepper Raina with the short stuff. I mean, the whole world knows the guy doesn't like short balls (and we saw it the first ball he faced today from Bollinger). All this politeness is so un-Australian, if you know what I mean ;)

Well that is not out for sure, but the slips so deep on a low bouncing pitch ?
 
LOl the 3rd umpire, who is an Indian, gives Dhoni out without even looking at the 2nd replay!! Looked out though but needed a few more veiws from different angles.
 
Wasn't the Riaz one way closer? Double standards.
 
Well Indian umpires have always tried to look 'EXTRA' good by giving out ones that are not out against India.. You need a DHarmasena to just flat out give everything the home side's way if it went upstairs....

Ponting standing right in Zaheer's face at silly point. I remember he did the same to Aamer in the 4th innings at Lords after they had bumped into each other.

India losing quick wickets is a BLESSING IN DISGUISE :)

I hope we finish today with a score close to their (it already is) . That increases chances of a result in the match. I was actually worried that we may continue to bat till tomorrow end of first session which would have made it easier for Aussies to play for a draw.

Thank God, things are going fast and Aussies may well be out today for a few overs.
Come on now dear tail enders and T20 Raina, throw your bats at every ball and get the hell out ASAP

Our team is in bit of problem and your main concern is too make the test match a bit entertaining???

It's funny how they're showing the Watson catch numerous times on super slo-mo yet they only opted to show VVS's similarly dubious catch ONCE in TOTAL

the VVS one dint go to the 3rd umpire , did it ? there was no controvercy around that so no replays ..they havent show replays of any other wickets

COrrect. Doesn't have to slog at all. But for those ugly hoicks, has played some good shots especially driving on the up.
 
What an idiotic shot from Zaheer. Absolutely needless.

The Aussie lower order helped them add nearly 200 runs. Our lower order batsmen look to be in some unnecessary hurry and playing foolishly.
