This is a great test and if Aussies lose its just great test cricket, and im and Aussie. Funny how the Indians run away until they win or close to winning. They are very vocal in this thread until the down turn.

well, he is not playing for draw as we can't. so better to take as many runs possible rather than holding pointlessly.

reminds me of shoaib Malik.

I would rather have vvvvs on strike instead of sharma.

This thread is not the same, the going gets tough and the Indians run away. Seems they will only come back if they win.

I'm still here. It's just that I'm following the game on TV and not on the net. And about the match situation, what can I say? From here on, it looks pretty difficult, but stranger things have happened in Indian cricket. Hope, my friend, springs eternal.

Ponting is literally throwing this match away by repearedly bringing on Hauritz...even North outbowls him. Bring on Doug the rug Ponting!

Sharma can bat .. he is playing the moving bowl pretty well and Ojha is no mug with the bat .. India is very much in the game

sharma is lucky to be still there. VVVVVVVVVSSSS needs to protec him and not take single on the first ball.

Good to see, same here{watching on tv** and Lax doing well. 58 runs to go

Tasty! - I see india getting close and ending in a spectacular failure; Its the best kind of failure!

54 to win .. India looking confident ..Australia clueless ..these two look in total control

Animal, no offence meant to you but it took a glimer of hope and the Indian posters came back to post. Till then it was silent on the Indian behalf.
A good close test is a great test and good for both sides and test cricket.

Laxman has become an EPIC mental pain for Australia. If he can pull this off, the legend of VVS will get a further boost down under. Good on him.

Getting sick of people posting that there is something fishy going on in this match. Get a grip.

Close. Come on boys and get Hauritz off. He is not the man for the hour.

This is a canny partnership for India - looks like they might just do it and credit has to go to Laxman

Oh, and can the Indian fans speak up when the team is down, you know that thing true supporters do?

Poniting should have had his bowlers bowl a full and straight line to sharma, Really weird seeing no yorkers..

Win or lose and i hate aussies losing at all, this is test cricket like its suppose to be played.
Test cricket is dead is for those that have no idea about cricket.

I think the boys can get the last wickets, if they dont they have done a good job, just need to make it a better job in the next test.

Oh!! it's lunch now, momentum will break now. Ishant will get out soon as we come back after lunch. Ojha probably doesn't really know how to hold a bat !

As much as I would love to watch this I need some sleep

I think India will win, Laxman will see them home

No offence taken. But it's pretty obvious why most of us are silent when the team is down. Nobody likes to share distress. It's happiness that makes us voluble, as it does most people in the world. Right?

I'm not sure about that. The closer you get the harder it gets.
This could be like Border & Thommo all those years ago or Edgbaston 2005. Oh wait the aussies lost both of those. Er but team batting lost both those of times.

Much easier to take 2 wickets than score 50 odd runs, plus add in a runner. I predict a last wicket run out - Aussies win by 7 runs!

I will not be able to eat during this interval ...so i'll take mu lunch only after India win today ....Jeetenge Hum ....comon India
And if they lose? Better to eat mate, keep the energy up to give us aussies a hard time if you get lucky and we stuff up and you win.

Raina will run everyone out the way he is going.

I agree with you. 50+ is too many runs when 8 down is concerned. I expect drama to move on for some more time, but ultimately Australia will have the last laugh in this match.

I think even Dhoni's confused for a fraction of second with runner.

Laxman batting like a champ, not sherparding the tail but not everyone can play like Inzi.

Definitely enjoying Laxman's batting, Tendulkar was also playing very well but threw it away.

There's a reason for that, lately aussies are only able to win matches that are fixed ;)

Haven't seen it but it has to be a factor. Always fun when there is a runner - can almost guarantee at least 1 run out.

Either way what a knock from Laxman.........under pressure and injured. Fantastic.

Still in the balance, but I'd have to say we're favourites at this point. I will be disappointed if we somehow lose this.
