India vs New Zealand | Semi Final 1, World Cup | Old Trafford | 10th Jul, 2019 | India Innings

ummmmm you said the best 4 are in the semis. So NZ doing well now is a farce???? Make your mind up please

He rejects every outcome that doesn't fit is narrative. Backs the faves AND if they don't win it, makes excuses left and right. 😂😂

RRR creeping up to 6.

Not a worry. If they keep wickets intact, they can take on QDG and Neesham. Santner will be key. The issue is wickets and these are not proper batsmen that can make a hundred.

All these bowlers were bowling in IPL and were reduced to trundlers! Now we have to handle deGrandhomme who can also be dangerous on this pitch! The most luckiest thing NZ got in this world cup is these conditions! Any other team would have hit the same fate (Australia? I have seen them collapse like this in a group game last world cup!) If they game same conditions in the finals then the cup is theirs! (England and Australia don't have these kind of bowlers! They may offer a bit more pace which can help batsmen to score runs or get away without touching the balls! NZ bowlers have the right length, pace and control for these kind of pitches!)

England vs. India is the final that we deserved. Pity.

NZ vs AUS it will be. A repeat of 2015. This was excellent bowling and all India needed to do was copy NZ and play out first 10 overs. Except for Rohit, everybody else just gave it away. It's panic against top quality swing bowling.

If Eng and NZ reach the finals, Pak is the actual winner of WC 19 because it has defeated both :yk

We were all talking Boult ripping through India, it was Henry who did in the end. Excellent bowler.

Win predictor giving India 40% chance of winning. Interesting

Good post .

See that big dark Colin de Cloudhomme approaching above ? Not too long now

England will beat Australia and India/New Zealand in the final.

A team that can't bat when the ball is swinging doesn't deserve to be in the Final. Indian team is filled with FTBs. Their ranking is wholly based on playing at home on flat pans.

Terrific innings by Pant so far. If these two can bat for another 10 overs India will be back in the hunt.

I believe there is a difference in intensity when you are representing your team in a WC semi final than when you are playing in a T20 league.

If India can play the overs out they will win. Thats what they should aim at.

Nope, no else would have been 24-4. They have bowled well but the swing dissapeared by 4th over, even in those 4 overs there wasn't great swing just 1 good ball getting rohit and 1 big stage bottler and 1 ipl hack doing what they usually do. And don't even get me started on the abomination that is kartik.

They just had an off-day. No need to overreact. Rohit and Kohli are remarkably consistent and capable of handling any conditions or situation.

Not just that. It's the number of overs you face from top quality bowlers that matters. In IPl, Boult just bowls a couple of overs upfront. The middle order isn't exposed to him.

Even Neesham has 11 wickets in his 9 matches @18. NZ pace bowers have been the key for them in the WC

Promoting Pandya was the right call. Dhoni’s tuk tuk would have played into New Zealand’s hands.

They don't have to lose anymore wickets till 30th or 35th over. That is the safest approach... Don't worry about runs!
These two are naturally aggressive so for India’s perspective I would want them to be natural about their approach just like how pant is playing

This is the only match of the WC where they faced tough conditions and bowling which further confirms the theory of FTBs (They are still miles better than Pakistani batsmen though in case someone is going to quote me)

This is kohli's 3rd off day in 3 attempts there comes a time when you have to accept he is a bottler.

Stop your nautanki please. You worshipping IPL and actually trying to critcise an Indian fan for not liking IPL is a good enough proof that you are an indian fan too. I don't support Pakistan in cricket, I am neutral when it comes to Pakistan and don't watch PSL like you watch IPL either.

And I am not a Vijay Shankar fan I just want to expose the hypocrisy of some of you indian fans who want to discard him after giving him 2-3 chances. :inti

What about the way your beloved uncle Dhoni has batted in this tournament? Will you criticise his tuk-tuks or is he infallible in your own eyes?

Hope you understand how bad Bhuvi yesterday..

They gave 27 runs in 10 overs. Can't blame Bhuvi. Also, they could have taken apart Shami at the back end. Bowling was faultless. It's the batting that made a mess. The same BK could score a crucial 20 here and can't say the same about Shami

Rohit & Kohli - that can happen! Opposition will devise a plan and execute it against such important players! Also big match pressure can get to any batsmen (bowlers usually have less pressure because they get next chances!) It is up to the other players to step up in such situations, but we have Rahul the confused guy and Karthik - the nothing guy (so instead of 24/2 it was 24/4 - lot of difference!) Remember if India had won today, Rohit & Kohli would have geared up to come big in the finals, they are good enough players! But they usually don't get that next chance!
