Salam guys.

Tomorrow India and Pakistan will square off one more time in a global tournament.

Such is the immense joy of this match that the vibe completely changes. The tournament will come alive. A carnival feeling can already be felt.

If rain doesn’t come to spoil things, there will be a winner and a lower but cricket will be the ultimate winner of this contest because of the huge promotion it will receive thanks to all all the hype and coverage.

It’s a moment not to feel afraid about who will win or lose but to celebrate this occasion as a true fan of the game.

Let us be proud of this special thing we have between India and Pakistan.

Our rivalry is class apart.

No rivalry in any sport anywhere can match the intensity of an India-Pakistan cricket contest.

Your Bhaijaan wishes both teams and fans the best of luck. May the best team on that given day wins.

And whoever loses, it’s ok. You are both champion teams and great cricketing nation’s who will bounce back to achieve great things and continue this great tradition.

Dear Non Indian and Pakistani fans,

We happily welcome you all to join us in this match. This contest appeals to all lovers of the game from all nations.

Much appreciated thread Brother.

Just pray that the rain clouds do a u turn.

Its a pity the two teams don’t play each other regular. Its really criminal for the game.

Lol so the same guys who wanted no cricket between India and Pakistan and also wanted to isolate Pakistan are the first ones to get excited for this match? Is it surprising? Not at all. :inti

Stop this dramaybaazi please. Suddenly cricket becomes a winner when India plays against Pakistan in ICC tournaments but some of you have no problem when we don't play against Pakistan in the bilaterals? :inti

Can the people who said India-Pakistan rivalry is insignificant, please stand-up?

During the crisis a few months ago, many here told us that India's national interests were important and cricket meant nothing. We were also lead to believe that no patriotic Indian would want to play against Pakistan etc

Fast forward to June 2019 - Seems that any media outlet we look at, ex-player is telling us how important this game is. We have private jets flying in from India, match sold out with majority Indian fans - many travelling from India.

So it would seem that our jingoistic friends were wrong.

Cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan transcends politics etc.

Sorry to our friends who were waving flags and looking to lay down their lives but seems you were making things up!

Well said... where are the people who were crying hoarse that India should boycott. I hope Gambhir isn't watching :inti

Actually there was a time period around 2004 onwards where Pak vs Ind was happening so often that it kinda lost its charm. I kind of like it this way where every meeting is a special event and not just another match.

Chowkidar Gautam Gambhir Ji was doing Hindi commentary during Pak vs Aus match. He was the one who said that India should boycott its match against Pakistan. He couldn't even say no to a match involving Pakistan and Australia. Money comes before pride for some hypocrites these days. :inti

Hahahah didn't know that, that's hilarious. Doing commentary for Pak vs Aus match :))) :)))

Na baap bara na bhaiyya sub say bara ruppaiyya :inti

The matches don't seem to live up to the occasion because there's often a gulf between the teams.

The 2005 tour was a rare moment where both teams were evenly matched and produced compelling cricket.

I will never forget the hype in London for the 2011 World Cup semi final.

People who don’t even watch Cricket; Eastern European’s, Africans (Not South), Americans everybody was interested in that game. The way it was so hyped and publicised amongst the British Asian population at the time, Everybody had an interest within it. Pakistan vs India. World Cup semi final. It was unbelievable.

Even the 2017 Champions trophy final wasn’t hyped up as much as Mohali 2011

Now Times Now saying they are very excited for this clash and doing a joint show with some Pakistani channel :)))

This celebration would have been better if the tickets were given 50-50 to Indians and Pakistanis for this match. The atmosphere would have been much better in the ground.

OP.

Amazing rivalry. We need to see you play bilateral series. World of cricket can’t miss this, been to long. Life is short, move on, let bygones be, stop dirty politics. Least Invite them to India. Why don’t you form a org to end politics in cricket/sport. World can’t be deprived of this rivalry. How about a tri series of ODI or T20 involving Ind, Pk, BD. That way Akand Bharat sapna will come true for the RSS.

I agree. Though we don't stand together in views but I'll call this dramaybaazi too.

Cricket shouldn't be a winner. I want India to thrash Pakistan. I don't care if there are thousands of tears after this. Thats it. End of. The end.

LOL. I can imagine their anchors shouting and asking all the indians to get ready for this match now. It only took 3 months to go from war to a cricket match for these hypocrites. :inti
