Pak needs to get Rohit Sharma out to keep a lid on the scoring rate, if not, 350+ is well on the cards and no chance for Pak to win. India to win by 50 runs or so.
 
Way way overrated game these days, the only asian derby worth watching is afgh v bang at least its competitive & not over in the 1st 8 overs!

In 2015 India got just over 300. Today they look like getting 350 plus and they are without Dhwaan and have a worse middle order.

Majid will be another Ehsan Mani - he is 75+ now. My old man is similar aged - and I have seen what that critical age of 70+ can do, even to one of the best Officers of 1969 batch.

Imarn need not to baby feed PCB - Wasim K is quite capable, what Khan needs is a young (as executive, may be early 50 max), crook but passionate guy, who can kick a$$ for 100 hours a week and clear the garbage on WK's path.

And, I say it again - he should appoint a 3/4 star active General as PCB chairman on ad hoc basis, kick current COO's backside out of PCB HQ and modify Wasim Khan's role to a CTO (Chief Technical Officer) role - anything that touches cricket from School cricket lunch menu to National team's toss, should cross Wasim's path; if required double his salary, so that guy works for 15 hours a day.

This is simply unacceptable, for someone watching PAK cricket for 35+ years now, almost from diaper.
 
Why wouldn't you bowl out Imad when he was keeping things tight? Why wouldn't you bowl Amir for a couple to get a breakthrough? Can't believe Sarfaraz thinks Hafeez or Malik will not be torn apart by two set batsman on this road of a pitch.

- Two over the hill seniors who are part time at best.

- A containing darter in Imad, who's never been a wickettaker in ODIs.

- Shadab who cannot bowl six deliveries in same spot, and gives one freebie per over.

Gohar and Asghar meanwhile sit on bench to accomodate pseudo ARs
 
I called it months ago how Sarfraz is a rubbish as a captain. As soon as things go away from plan A , he is clueless. Doesn't make the team on merit. No personality. Awful communicator. Screams at players for making a mistake.

We were never going anywhere under this guy. The CT wasnt a fluke. It papered over the cracks of this pathetic team and even worse captain.
 
Pakistan have to win all of their games if they lose this, even if that happens they miss out on NRR.

Sarfaraz's bowling rotation seems rigid. He plans before the match when to bowl which bowler and sticks by it irrespective of the match situation.
 
Ganguly is horrendous.

Just waiting for him to rip his shirt off and start saving the Indian flag outside the commentary box.
 
There’s no shame in admitting to a skills gap, but this shows a lack of courage. Conserving the gun bowlers for the end of the innings rather than getting wickets now
 
Why is Sarfaraz not bringing back Amir for 2 overs? The only bowler who has looked like who could do something??

What stupid captaincy. Wahab might get a wicket, but that will be lucky. Amir would have been the calculated choice.

We pulled off a great win in CT final because of Fakhar and Amir. Sarfraz had nothing to do with it. Didn’t come out to bat.

The thing is I don't think our resources are terrible, our strategy and execution have been appalling, there is no plan. Apart from fielding which needs major improvement, we have the tools to compete really well in this WC but have let go of a massive opportunity tbh

I think the only time would have been 2004 - 2007 when we had Arshad Khan, Danish Kaneria, Shahid Afridi & Shoaib Malik playing in ODIs
 
Still don't know why Pakistan opted to bowl first, the pitch is sublime no movement. Ind on course for 350 plus don't see Pakistan making even 280
