India vs Pakistan | Match 22, World Cup | Manchester | June 16, 2019 | India innings

Need to play haris sohail. Can't go with stupid asif ali if we want to win. Can't drop catches in the field when rain can come anytime. Asif Ali should be termed injured and a replacement from recent PSL hitmen be sought who is good in fielding and can score at 100% strike rate. Asif Ali marwaye ga kohli ka catch chor k.

Guys Saj has reported that rain has started in Manchester....

Gates have opened. Expect stadium getting packed in 10min. Only a light drizzle for now.

Based on visuals so far, cameramen will have a tough day finding Pakistani flag in the crowd.

I live like 10 miles away from OT and it's not raining here so hopefully it's a passing shower.

First the good news: It's India v Pakistan. Now for the.....better news. It's NOT raining at Old Trafford currently. Let's hope it stays that way.

09:00am Right, who's up for this? Welcome to the marquee fixture of this Cricket World Cup? India and Pakistan take each other on in a game that means more than just two points. The toss is in an hour, the first ball will be bowled in 90 minutes? Can you wait? I'm Danyal Rasool from Lahore. I'll soon be joined by Shashank Kishore from Bengaluru as we bring to you every ball as it happens. Stay locked.

Pakistan has a 10% chance of winning if they bat first. If India bats first, Pakistan had a 0% chance of winning.

Hate to say I told you so.

Myself, Amjid Javed and a couple of posters have been saying for days that the match is heavily threatened by rain but we ended up getting taunted/abused by posters.

Many of us know Manchester weather like the back of our hands.

You wouldn't be getting taunted/abused if you didn't post the same thing every 2 minutes just for your two seconds of fame.

Now keep quiet. If it's a washout, it's a washout. If there'll be a match, there'll be a match. Stop with this attention seeking :inti

Good morning everyone!

The day has finally arrived which we were waiting for.

Good luck to both teams and may the best and deserving team win.

Hopefully rain doesn’t ruin this day.

It's time for Rain Gods to stop what they do best to enjoy the biggest match ever in 2019 in all of sports. :inti

What a farce this world cup has been. Lost all interest after today's likely washout.

India is a far better side. If they have their best game we don’t stand a chance, although the absence of Dhawan is a big positive for Pakistan.

Yeah we are a better side , but I wudnt confident chasing a total against pak . Not sure we will play to our best today

Where are those supposedly 18% ticket holders of Pakistani origin? I see none in the crowd.
Btw, Good news is rain has stopped, players are on the field doing warm ups. :)
Kohli had a long conversation with michael clarke, covers are still on though.

Was this interview with Lara and Sunny taken some time ago?. It is not raining in it

Which channel is showing all of that?

Ten sports is showing Waqar live from the ground and there's no rain right now.

At the moment I can see Ranvir Singh once again with his comical dressing sense chatting with bhajji. :bhajji

Won't be able to watch the match so I'll have to follow on Cricinfo. Will watch the replay of the entire match on hotstar when I find the time , assuming we actually get a match :(

CI saying no rain. Posteds here are saying there is rain. Dunno what to believe :jk

PP's Saj has reported that it's started raining in Manchester. I would tend to believe people on the ground, although could be that it stopped since then.

Just listened to a news reporter trying to prove weather is bad right now by saying clouds are only 10-12 feet above light towers. Morons

According to some, we still have a decent chance of qualifying if we win the last 4 games against NZ, SA, BAN and AFG.

If today gets washed out, 4 wins definately takes us through.
3.5 wins may also be enough but we will need a couple of results going our way.
3 wins from the last 4 will not be enough because of dire run rate

It is a dry pitch if we are to believe the lip reading credentials of Waqar on Wahab.

Yeah I just hope we get atleast a 40 overs a side match. This world cup would have been of a very high quality if not for the weather. Can't have the most important match of the World Cup be washed out as well. In 1999, we were lucky. It had rained a lot in Manchester the night before the match but on the day it was fine.

We should bat first.

This pitch looks green and bowler friendly but I doubt if that is.

Kohli delivered speech in team circle & for a change, body language didn't look good. A few indian players were literally shivering (may be its cold) & everyone looked highly nervous.
Meanwhile Pakistanis still trying to get their catching skills right.

So it's win the toss bowl first, bowl amir out in the first 2 hours.

The bigger question is: who’s going to open the bowling with Amir?

Wahab won’t and i’m not sure about Hassan Ali getting early wickets.

Any specific player?

The joker Gambhir who didn’t want India to play Pakistan is now in the Start Sports studio lol

My cousin at the ground is saying that Indian fans are already hurling abuse at Pakistan fans

A little RAP contest happened outside stadium. I couldn't understand a word, so can't say who won. :P

He was doing that for the upcoming elections. Nationalism is very effective in South Asia.
