India vs Pakistan | Match 22, World Cup | Manchester | June 16, 2019 | India innings

Kohli delivered speech in team circle & for a change, body language didn't look good. A few indian players were literally shivering (may be its cold) & everyone looked highly nervous.
Meanwhile Pakistanis still trying to get their catching skills right.

Don’t think catching skills improve in hours or days. Takes practice.

Going by star sports fan cam, expect 90% indian crowd during the match.

Pakistan should never bowl first. We are the worst chasing side. We cannot even chase 180.

Should bowl first if it’s going to rain. I’d rather chase and win by DLS despite the fact that we are sh*tty at chasing.

You scored 350+ batting second in the ODI series against England. Pakistan can easily chase 320 odd.

Of course. When you play a vastly superior side, you not only need to play very well you also need a slice of luck.

If both India and Pakistan play their best cricket, India will win, simply because they are a much stronger team.

That is why, Pakistan has to play well and hope that India are below their best. That is how they managed to beat England as well. It wasn’t just because we played good cricket, but because Roy, Bairstow, Morgan, Stokes and Archer were all below par.

Do you ever give credit to Pakistan team for winning anything or is it always the other team had a down day?

PP's Saj has reported that it's started raining in Manchester. I would tend to believe people on the ground, although could be that it stopped since then.

My cousin's in the stadium in Manc...he says its light drizzle on and off.. not threatening...but the big issue is the outfield and bowlers runups....and also forecast of rain later in the day(not drizzle)...in all probability a shortened overs game or it will be upto uncle duckworth and bhanja lewis....:)

Eventhough pak are terrible at chasing, rain will play a huge role so batting second should be the option

India will definitely put pak in

Off topic but why is DAWN always filled with Indians commenting on every article? Sometimes it feels like an Indian website.

Pitch report: Ramiz & clarke think pitch is dry & good for batting. Relatively shorter square boundaries.

Pitch report :

Both sides want to bowl first, looking at the weather possibility.

Dry with bit of moisture.

Where do India Pakistan games stand in terms of most watched events on television???

Short square boundaries. Need to pitch it up and not bowl short.

IF they're playing 4 pacers at the expense of not playing Shadab, that would be a stupid stupid decision!! I hope its not true . .

Definitely I can see us really undecided so losing the toss would be better

Nothing to decide.

Game has a chance of even slightly being cut, you bowl first and hope for best in DL system.

I would go crazy if Pakistan won toss and batted first.

Cant understand where are Pak fans in staduim. If you cant support here then whats the point

Wow its pretty amazing given the fact that fifa has a global fan following.

Cricket is only big because of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. No one watches cricket apart from South Asians and a few Australians and Britons.

South Asia has a population of over 1,5 billion.

Slightly behind FiFA WC final. Expected to overtake it before 2022.

Expected to overtake?? Popularity of Football is increasing all around the globe.

In fact, i predict that Football will be more popular compared to cricket in South Asia by 2030.

Not surprised. Early morning jitters. Biggest event, packed Indian crowd and overcast conditions. There is more pressure on Indian team tody than any other day. That I can promise you All. Should bowl 1st

Popularity of sports in general is declining. Football will grow in Asia and in Africa but has already declined in Europe.

Completely understandable decision by Sarfaraz to bowl . . do they have the guts to chase?! That's the question
