He is looking at bigger picture. If Pakistan gets 1 point they still have a chance to qualify. I saw even indian fans praying for rain during CT final. Nothing wrong in that.

Think he's always been pretty friendly with Pakistani players. Gifted his bat to Amir in 2016 wt20 i think. Think he just likes to get in the face of Aus and Eng. Aus players and Anderson aren't very friendly customers either.
 
DLS will get us more runs than Shankar- Kedar combined. Better not go back to the field with bat in hand.
 
Cannot wait for an England vs India final. It is the game the cricket world deserves, and whoever loses can still hold its head high.

If this is official , i'd guess the 25 and 20 overs option would suit pak the best....as the balls wold be new, no reverse on offer, our spinners will not even be able to grip the wet ball......plus Iman, Babar and Fakher will swing for the tall timber from ball one -nothing to loose for them....

For Pak to win, India need to come out and complete 50 overs for a sub 330 score and then for it to rain big time.

May be that is the case he was also friendly to Smith and co. I think he improved as a person in and out of the field in general and that is positive for him.

Sarfraz has literally gifted the match to india at toss. Considering the batting abilities of india, chasing side will always find itself in near impossible situation.

It will very likely to be England v India final. Unless they meet in the semis. Two best teams all round well balanced. That will be mouth watering, indeed!

Thats because if India knew there were only 46 overs to ply, it would have changed gear earlier and made 330+ by 46 overs, not 305. This would have been true for Pakistan too if It had batted first. You should have told the captain to bat first.

No, actually there is a method to this madness. They are making allowance for the fact that the team batting first was blindsided that this is going to be a 46 over match instead of a 50 over match. On the other hand the team batting second would have the opportunity to plan ahead of time for whatever runs and overs they are given.

Since there is an inherent disadvantage to the team with the truncated innings, the team batting second is seemingly 'penalized'.

Yeah probably he has. You tend to get mature with time. Plus leadership brings in a lot more responsibility as well.

The thing with Indian players is that they are very professional and well-drilled. Even if D/L throws them a curveball, they know how to react and adjust. I think we are done and dusted here and hoping against hope.
 
Rohit was given life by our fielders and he goes on to score 100+. Thats how we have been doing since last many years
 
India is in such a weak position. Pakistan will definitely fancy their chances. its time for Indian fans to be nervous.
 
so they will comeback for 3.2 overs and go back for a full fledged lunch break despite of this rain delay!

Yeh he has regressed this year than his earlier self but his running has improved hipsnbounds.he has somehow managed to covee up by running extra runs throughput game

Context, we are on 3 points right now and losing will mean remaining on 3 points and less chances of potentially making the semi's, better to be on 4 points and hope to win the other remaining games so that our chances of making the semi's go up.
 
SL were some 150+/1 well by 23rd over yesterday. Pakistan need similar start today, but should not follow what SL did later on though lol

That's what I noticed he has always been friendly with Pakistani players even in 2015 world cup when that trundler Sohail khan gave that statement Ghar Ka kohli statement tried to sledge him in the match but he didn't react aggressively

How does Imran fit into this? Lol, that guy is why Pakistan is still considered a big cricketing nation despite our current mediocre lot.

Alot of clounds , everyone thought it will swing and will help bowlers,in addition to that had real chance of raining withing 10-40 overs so batting first if u have cautious start and if rain stops after 30 overs ,dls score would be low for chasing team

Definitely. Unfortunately, 1983 didn’t ruin India, because Kapil didn’t glorify his success like Imran, even though he produced a bigger cornered tigers moment.

It is all about the mentality.
 
Here's a twist. If initially it is 50 overs for Pakistan to chase whatever the target. Pakistan will have to keep scoring boundaries and ideally going around or maybe over 7 runs per over without losing wickets. Because if heavy rain comes. DLS will be calculated and Pakistan would be behind. Hence, India Wins!

That World Cup made Pakistan believe in miracles. We have tried to recreate that for 27 years and failed, and we will fail in the future as well.

Nothing was done suspecious and nothing went wrong better team just played well look at Aamir he bowled well because he is a better bowler.

Forget semis. I have been saying from day one, Pakistan should focus on Afghanistan game. IndPak derby is dead. AfPak is the future, we better start well on it. So many Afghanis live in Pakistan & they will go absolutely mad if we lose. That will be one hell of a day in Islamabad when both meet at the WC.

Amir didn't take wickets early, the bowl was obviously not swinging. The pitch was batting friendly.
 
Pakistan will need all of Fakhar to fire if the is going to get remotely close to the 350 target they are going to chase here. Imam has to hold one end for 40 overs at least and at a run a ball. Not expecting from big match bottler Babar to do anything.
 
Need to score 45 off 20 balls. This Shankar guy is such a useless. It all depends on Kohli who cant hit a six to save his life.
 
How can Pakistani management and selectors be so foolish in not selecting a new ball bowler to partner Amir in the WC that was to be played in England?
