Based on what? How many batsmen play spin better than Younis, Sarfaraz and Misbah? Pakistan would beat India on these pitches. I shudder to think what Yasir Shah would have done here.
 
Does the name "Nagpur" have anything to do with snakes?

along with someone like Zafar gohar who can really give it wrip i can see him playing a jadeja kind of role in pak future test team but Immad isn't bad too but i guess he is more of a container and better suited to LOIS where as zafar a more attacking option, and good thing is both of them aren't useless with bat either.

he is just going through a bad patch but class is permanent man. Dare i say technically he is better than even someone like YK when it comes to batting vs quality spin.

I don't know I still think yk is better.
Misbah is a bit weak against leg spin but is quality against offies.
 
India vs Pakistan on these pitches would have been spectacular low scoring affairs.

Yk is best in business when its just about surviving quality spin. but when its about attacking quality spin on spinning pitches than no one come close to Sarf in world cricket right now.
 
Sharma is useless..Bring someone more gutsy even though less skilled..

Perfect pitches for India vs Pakistan would be Sri Lankan tracks. Not excess help for spinners, and pacers too have a role to play.
 
180 should be the most that South Africa will be happy with. However, once again, it is South Africa's batting and India's bowling that will determine the course of this match.
 
Amir, Rabada, Starc and Boult will be the best pacers of the next generation. Williamson, Smith and Root won't have it so easy.
 
I expected a low score in the first innings when I saw the pitch. Also the Ranji matches here have all been low scoring affairs. What I didn't expect was the Morkel performance and underuse of JP and Tahir.

So 200 is about par?

Funny, normally when you check the score and it's 149-6 you think 'Uh oh' they're in trouble. Though I didn't get that feeling with this game.

Too early to say anything about Rabada. Personally i dont find him impressive. Starc will be good in ODIs only. Dont see him becoming one of the best in Tests. I dont expect much from Boult now after his horrible series till date against Australia. Overall I find Amir better than the ones you have mentioned. Only in ODIs Starc may beat Amir. Not in Tests.
 
BCCI needs to appoint Rahul Dravid as the batting coach ASAP. These batsmen can neither play swing nor spin. Shastri and Bangar have proved useless till now.

The pitch looked very abrasive during the pitch report. Gavaskar said that it would be very difficult to bat against spin here. This one turns even more than Mohali, where everyone got out playing for turn when there wasn't as much turn. Add to the reverse swing due to the abrasive nature of the pitch, I expected a low score around 200 from India. But what I didn't expect was Morkel picking up the wickets. Thought the spinners would've bagged a few more wickets.

So 200+ was chased down! This is going to be a nerve-wrecking test throughout.

Really? In ODIs, Starc is probably the best talent since Akram. Amir isn't even close !

He seems like a loose starter, especially mentally. If he survives the initial close shouts, tends to gather his thoughts. Same with his footwork.
 
Morkel injured, now what will SA do lol.
This test series has just gone from bad to worse for them.

Yeah he is a shaky starter. But didn't try stupid stuff much in the past.

Hopefully he gives Saha some support here.
 
horrendous from south africa. they should bundled india under 150. now innings defeat is coming.
