India need at least 330 + to have a chance. Likes of Chandimal/Matthews/Sangakarra/Jaya will annihilate India's attack.

While batting first we need power hitters for the last 10 overs, without Raina, Dhoni and UV it's difficult now :|

Oh noes! Kohli out like a dunce after looking set for his ton

Basically there is no fear when batting against India's bowling attack. The batting team goes into the innings knowing that 330 is chaseable against these guys.

The bowlers too are low of confidence, having been hit recently.

Thats half the battle won for the batting side.

Before going into a chase, 300 was seen as near impossible, hence so many teams didn't know how to approach it. Now its been done so many times, teams know its possible, and hence go in believing it can be chased down.

Now Dhawan has to go on to get 150+ if India are going to post a big total.

People are being too harsh on our bowling with some comments. India defended better than most teams in the World Cup, defended better than all in Champions Trophy... so no reason why they can't do the same here.

This is SL attack so not all is lost to b honest .... They are 2nd to indian bowling when it comes tundlersmania :nehra

The cushion for other teams because of Indian bowling is very big now Kohli gone if India even score a competitive 270, other team is favorite.

Think the Australia and SA series rattled them - and it has given every other team the confidence to go and get 300+ against India.

Blessing in disguise?? Good test of the middle order before the big match.

India's bowling is slightly above Bangladesh's attack. You can't blame people. India's attack usually concedes 300+ abroad and this is a flat deck !

In WC you had a much better bowling attack Zak at his peak who carried the pace attack and you had the greatest ODI batting line up in CT your bowlers did bowl very well but they were supported by your batsman too since CT your bowlers have been nothing short of pathetic

Shami is a very good seamer, Bhuvi is decent and Jadeja/Ashwin is a good spin attack in slow, turning pitches. Let's see how they perform.

Via Cricinfo - ""Somehow i get this weird feeling i get in 1990s.... switch off TV, radio and commentary after Kohli gets out...."

It's a flat track, but it's a slow track. My foresight says it will assist our bowlers. :imran :msd

If you look at the India v Bangladesh game, all bowlers except one bowled pretty well.

Team for next match - Pujara , Dhawan , Kohli , Rahane , Binny , Kartik , Jadeja , Ishwar , Bhuvneshwar , Shami , Aaron

let me make an understatement here. I hate the way dhawan runs to take quick singles.

Good decision to take powerplay. Rahane with his power can never be explosive while Dhawan will be playing for a 100.

SL should try to restrict them under 300. Without mathews sl would not want to chase more.

Rayudu comes in now

What's wrong with Kohli? 15 overs left, send the aggressors DK and Binny to bat.

This is the difference Dhoni's absence makes. If he was playing ,then we would be looking ar a score of 325-350 from here. But without him, even 275 looks uncertain.

All on Dhawan now.

India have to be careful. Go too hard and they could end up with 250 all out.
