Lots of dark clouds have gathered together guys.. it’s looking a bit bleak for the SL innings !

And YS gets out in a very weird way !!

India 195-5 Overs 29

Sri lanka needs 196 runs to win from 29 overs.

What is facinating is all Indian batsmen had a SR of over 100 excluding Veeru.
And all SL bowlers bled at over 6 - 7 runs an over except Mahroof

Damn! Sharma is a killer; he is wasting balls and now he got Gambhir run out. Very stupid cricket from him.

Finall he slapped all of us isn't he.. :P

I believe Rohit wasted way too many balls. Someone like Yuvraj should've been sent ahead of him.

196 for 30 overs is A par score and SL would fancy chasing it. But i guess this is going to be another wash out match

195 is atleast 30 runs short of a good score. But it could've been far worse - so i'll take it.

Problem is.. there could have been a potential middle order collapse with Murali bowling to Yuvraj with Uthappam having very little practice. He eventually did a fantastic job. He let others play around him and then he came onto his own. You cannot have everyone throwing the bat around and scrap only 150 for 9. Number of wickets fallen is very very important in case of further rain.

India made 194 against OZ in 45 overs then had them danced around. So i am not sure it is a below par total. I think it is a par total.

4.15pm Just a slight drizzle now - the cut off time is 4:43 local time, not a minute longer. Oh good, they are removing the big covers, but the cover that is protecting the pitch will remain as it is still drizzling although ABC reckons it's a 4.40 restart. Not much room to manoeuvre there then. (cricinfo)

4.25pm Hello sunshine. And more good news, we have a target Sri Lanka will need to chase down 145 in 21 overs.(cricinfo)

145 off 21? that sounds a bit less.

Should have been around 152-155

yeah i heard that too.

yup its the good ol' cricinfo blunder now corrected

4.25pm Hello sunshine. And more good news, we have a target Sri Lanka will need to chase down 154 in 21 overs. By the way, the radar is free of other rainclouds, hurrah.

Ishant Sharma is getting good pace. First ball to Jayasurya was 148km/h

Another 149.7km/h

three deliveries from Ishant above 149 K in the first over... fastest at 149.7

I think India is very fortunate to find a bowler like Ishant. This is a dream comes true for them...

yeah.. adds an X factor to their bowling attack :D

SIX off Sreesanth! Jayasurya means business :))

That said, bowling has been poor by Shreesanth and Sharma also leaking runs. Indians will lose this if there isn't quick wickets.

Poor bowling by Sreesanth yes, Sharma was a bit unlucky to concede a streaky four.

I think SL has a very good batting lineup, similiar to Pakistan for Twenty20. As long Jaysurya is there anything is possible.

Sreesanth is losing his plot here. spraying all over. Jayasurya is toying with him.

Suddenly the Indians crowd around Sreesanth to give him some tips. His head must be buzzing now.. :)

I think when you are up against players like Jaysurya or Afridi or Gilly, it is little that you can do.

Sharma just touched 151.2 K's WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW first time I have witness an indian crossing 151 this kid is gonna be special even though the Lankans are kikin our buttss..

If Ishant continue to bowl as he is bowling, i think this is a great find for India. He is using his height and Dilshan has no idea what to do with this guy...

WOnder how many sour grapes here will be shattered now that Ishant has hit the 150's :P

It's ok....we're use to seeing speeds like that. I know for your giant country of over 1 billion people it is something new.....so enjoy it while it lasts. :D

We are cruising to victory here.

Yeah we've never had a bowler who bowls in the 150s.

Sour grapes indeed.

We need 64 runs from 60 balls with 8 wickets in hand.

Umm just out of curiosity are the Indians drunk ? this is the worst fielding display I have ever seen in my whole life of watching cricket..

A nation of 1 billion has finally earthed 1 150 K bowler :D

Its time to bring that 150 KPH bowler back in the attack or it will be too late. The likes of Sachin, Bhajji, Sehwag etc wont do the job at this point

Dhoni is just trying to finish off the fifth bowling option so took a gamble. Might be too late already!

yeah but now the pressure is some what off the Lankan batsmen. With 55-60 still needed he should have either bowled Sree or sharma

Good win by the Sri Lankans well played :14: . This is going to be a very unpredictable VB series..

starting from the name itself...
first it was carlton and united then VB and now CB :P

Game's not over yet - but it will be soon I reckon. Unless someone can induce an epic collapse.

jayasuriya batted well. the indians can only hold a grudge against the weather now lol

but its the same weather that helped them save the aus game earlier in the series

Well played Lanka. Bad luck India. 154 in 21 overs.. with 7 overs powerplay.. i think starting from ireland to bangladesh would have won. But good wake up call form Mr.Sreesanth. When the batsmen have the license to go after the bowling he simply had no idea how to bowl.
