India well ahead of Pakistan in physical sports and yet far behind in producing fast bowlers - Why?

Pakistan lags behind in sports mentioned above (though in professional boxing Pakistanis are ahead and Olympics is for amateur boxing) is because of lack of funding , proper infrastructure and coaching. For example, weightlifting budget for India is around 400-500 million rupees and Pakistan's budget is around 3-4 million rupees.

Lastly on Fast bowling, its all about attitude and aggressive nature that drives these kinds and that can't be taught through coaching , diet etc. You must possess that killer instinct.

I think the jokes about Indian fast bowlers and veg diet are just that....jokes. Elephants eat a veg giant and they are the biggest animals in the world.

On the list of athletes, most of those are minor pastimes in Pakistan, it would be more telling if you had Pakistanis and Indians taking up boxing or MMA seriously. Even football come to that. Not enough Pakistanis do these sports at a serious level.

There are quite a few up an coming pakistani born boxers and MMA fighters, for example the mayweather gym works with waseem falcon khan check it out, there are also guys in MMA i do not know them by name but the web has all the info.

Pakistan is India’s regular punching bag in Kabaddi. Our boys have more speed and natural strength compared to inflated jacked up balloons you send to kabaddi events bro.

At wrestling India is far far superior. India has Olympic medal winners in a wrestling. Sushil Kumar and Yogeshwar Dutt stand among the best in the world.

Wherever strength and athleticism involved India beats Pakistan by a big margin. But we never understood why it’s not the same in fast bowling and it breaks our heart and saddens us.

It seems that the fastest Pakistani bowlers are about 5 kph faster than the fastest Indian bowlers.

5 kph is not a big difference, the game is not about who can bowl the fastest. The current fastest Pakistani bowler was dropped from his team. I think it had to do with tradition. Pakistan traditionally had fast bowlers and India spinners. As cricket gets more commercialized, India is producing more fast bowlers. Currently we have 5 bowlers capable of bowling at 150 kph (Yadav, Mavi, Sharma, Aaron and Siraj), something we have never had before. In a decade we will have quite a few bowling at 155 kph or even faster.

I dont think Sharma and Aron have touched anything near to 150 recently.

That is true, I should have clarified that I was writing about active players who bowled 150 kph at some point.

Currently, Shami, and maybe Umesh are better Test bowlers than anyone Pakistan has.

We haven’t produced a great fast bowler since Asif and before that Shoaib. The former hasn’t played since 2010 and the latter last played a Test match in 2007.

In ODIs we have Amir, and recently Hasan but the Indian seam attack has Bhuvi, Bumrah etc. Amir isn’t better than either Indian bowler in ODIs, and we all know his class in Tests.

Aside from Hasan, the rest are either too inexperienced or mostly average.

This superior Pakistani fast bowling has been a myth for a while as two of four on this UK tour are trundlers.
