4:00 PM match, night factor is out and RCB has chance even batting first. They were hard done having to defend in the night.
 
It's always exciting to see RCB play. I am not watching all matches in this IPL due to time constraints but making sure I watch all RCB'S matches. Exciting team, great players and wonderful atmosphere in Chinnaswamy in the form of the a passionate crowd cheering for their team. Coming to today's matches, I guess RCB and PUNE will win. I feel Pune will come strong and beat the best team in this IPL.
 
Was surprised Kohli chose to bat first after winning the toss and Watson opening? Now all of a sudden their middle order looks fragile. Should have continued with Rahul or made Mandeep Singh open.
 
ABD is gone as well. It's going to be tough for RCB. Made a huge blunder by letting Watson open. Should score 185+ at least or else match will be gone to dogs. Huge responsibility on Kohli's shoulders here and he delivers more often than not. I hope he does today.
 
What a knock by Kohli, scored 100 on the last ball of the innings.

I think thats his first 100 as well. Now its rare to see him going out cheaply especially under 50.

Sometimes i am afraid that he will have a burnout and will have a long patch of nothingness. He should save this form for international games. Or may be he will be an exception and keep on this form till he retires
 
Kohli is reaching that insane level in T20s where brilliance becomes the norm.

All the more incredible considering the fickle nature of the format.

I actually wanted him to lose some steam during the IPL so that he doesn't burn out ahead of the Test season.

But he simply refuses to buckle down lol!

This has been a clinical chase from Gujarat.

Smith and McCullum's blitzkrieg at the start of the innings set up the chase nicely for them and Karthik in the end played a very good innings to guide his team home.
 
Irony of life.

Kohli played a match losing knock last game but RCB won.

Today he played a brilliant match wining knock but no one supported him and he lost.

Starc and Badree absence has hurt RCB a lot.

Rubbish bowling attack. Should have lost one more game but Pune had badde dil.
 
Gujarat embodies CSK spirit unlike Pune.

It has the explosiveness of CSK (Bmac, Smith, Raina) without the stability of it (Hussey, old Dhoni).

Nice unit. But has a lot of flaws which can get exposed when it really matters.
 
Missing starc badly here Richardson lost this one.Feel for kohli.He played brilliantly but 19th over for Iqbal sums up Lois captaincy

Yaar Rcb has the best batting in the tournament but it is also a fact that they have the worstbowling especially in the absence of Starc and Badree :facepalm:
 
Man, Pune is such a boring side to watch, no explosiveness at all and the one exciting batsman KP got injured.
I don't know what Dhoni thought selecting this team.
 
RSPG is not explosive unit but a dependable one. If they can get their acts right, it will be a side to beat.

Dependable means NOTHING in t20 if explosiveness is not there.

Watching Rahane and Smith go at 100 SR today is such a treat.

KP was useless for us.

Good he got injureed.

We have 4 duds batting at the top of the order:

Faf (out of form), Smith (sadly not explosivsive), KP (not his usual self) and Rahane (legend).

Followed by over the hill Dhoni (even bigger legend).

Followed by usually brainless Thisira Parera (played brilliantly last game though) and then you have lulloo bats like Bhatia and Ashwin.

Rahane's biggest talent lies in the fact that he has fooled experts into thinking he is a good LOI player.

KXIP have everything which you have looking for. How many matches have they won? This Pune team can consistently score 160+ every time but indeed they need a big hitter in middle order to make it 180.
 
Even if CSK comes back in 2018, they will not have Dhoni in their team as he will be playing for Pune or another team. There is going to be a full pledged auction next year itself. So CSK will be left with no good players to buy in 2018.
 
R Sathish resembles R Madhavan of Saala Khadoos with this facial hairdo if only he could get a bit more bulkier.

It's only a 2 year contract for the new teams.
 
Wow magical shot by Rahane. Bowled to his leg and he hit straight to the fielder. Any other batsman would have scored a four of that ball 100/100 times.
 
This Pune team reminds of RCB's first team in ipl. Dravid, Jaffer and kallis as top 3 :)))

Exactly. I have lost count of how many easy shots he misses in general.

Fans are dumb too. I am not sure whether you noticed or not. There was a question at the start of this innings about who was more pleasing and stylish to the eyes between Rahane and Uthappa? And dumb fans voted for Rahane.

Debatable. Rahane is indeed stylish, but so is Uthappa. But make no mistake, I'm pretty sure nobody rates Rahane, the LOI player. Uthappa is way way better.

Stylish is a different entity mate.

You can be stylish and ineffective in loi. Ex - Laxman, Ashwin

Uthappa has his own style which i find entertaining but some may prefer Rahane's shots when it comes off.

It means, all they need, is one overseas basher to move the score of 150ish to 170-180ish total.

With peterson injured, they can easily cover that up. They some dependable batsman who won't buckle under pressure. With some good spin bowling duo operating at there helm, it will be a good team.

Lol Rahane is probably the most aesthetically pleasing batsman in the world at the moment.

Yeah but Bell is more or less retired no.. A bit like Gambhir's situation.

Although he might get back into the Test team now that Taylor has had an unfortunate retirement.

I find Rahane shots not pleasing stylish but everyone has their own tastes and opinions. Uthappa is a more stylish batsman. How can we forget his sixes of fast bowlers coming down the pitch? Very stylish and talented. But unfortunately has never played to his potential. I don't think he hasn't been given chances. He has got enough but just hasn't utilized those to the fullest.
