PBKS need 140 runs in 84 balls.

Chennai needs wickets here , If Punjab bat out 20 overs , they will win this.

What a catch from Brevis. This is peak athleticism, where mind and body together come for the same purpose with full focus

Will CSK (from next year) continue to stick with Dhoni & Dhoni-style team building...?

Good to see teams like PBKS and DC doing well this season. Usually they find themselves bottom placed.

MI have got a solid start , they have the platform ready for final assault , 123 . 2

42 balls to go.

RR need wickets here , otherwise Mumbai is looking good for 200 plus target here , I doubt Vaibhav can play the same kind of innings again and again.

MI are difficult to beat , RR will have to bat out of there skins to chase this , all batters have to contribute.

Mumbai Indians crushed Rajasthan Royals by 100 runs to end the home team's playoffs hopes in the IPL in Jaipur on Thursday

Batting first, MI scored 217/2. In reply, RR were all out for 117 in 16.1 overs as MI closed in on securing a playoffs berth. MI rode on brisk half-centuries from Rohit Sharma (53) and Ryan Rickelton (61) to post a formidable total. Skipper Hardik Pandya (48*) and Suryakumar Yadav (48*) gave finishing touches to MI's innings with their whirlwind knocks. The likes of Jasprit Bumrah (2/15) and Trent Boult (3/28) then rattled the RR batting before leg-spinner Karn Sharma (3/23) wrapped up a big win for the visitors.

The reason they are five-time IPL champions!

Bumrah was not available in the early part. Also rohit was scratchy after a break. Once they hit the strap there was no turning back. SKY is usually inconsistent in the IPL unlike internationals. But he has been consistent as well. Ominous sign for other teams> Especially RCB who has a good chance of winning this IPL

The other teams can hope that in play off they have a day off , they have won six consecutive games so far , a bad day is the only thing standing between them and the trophy.
Play offs will be at Eden gardens and Hyderabad .unless a crazy spin/slow pitch, Mumbai should be favourites after this crazy turn around.

No. some of the pitches at both venues are quite slow.both srh and kkr with their aggressive approach found out on such pitches few times
Look i think all teams have gone there to win ( I am keeping fixing aside). So , ultimately teams should be ready to play any condition any opposition , if they want to win. All four teams in the playoffs will be the best ones and all will have an equal chance to win. What we should look forward is close fought games, instead of dull ones.

Whenever I think of MI in IPL, they are like West Indies team of 70s-80s, absolute beast team with all areas covered (batsmen, bowlers, alrounders & brutal strength). And CSK is like Australia (very consistent and a smart team! They are off-color in this season just like Australia is off few times, but they can suddenly prepare back again next year). MI cannot decline like WI (any time in future too) because they are financially stable & strong (WI even today can become beast team if they get financial support). RCB is like South Africa, very exciting, look strong most times, but dig their own hole and have that famous choking capabilities in crucial games! I don't think RCB can win this year too unless MI are eliminated by someone else...

West Indies can get all support they want they will never be elite in tests again.

They just don’t have the ability to do well in tests since early 2000

MI has a lot of world class international players. Rohit sharma recently retired T20 batsman. SKY, Pandya, Bumrah, Tilak varma India's main team players. Boult one of the best journeyman going around. Chahar IPL legend with new ball. Rickleton South african opener. It is a matter of form. Also mentally tough these guys are.will Jacks probably would not have been this effective had he played for others. His role is well utilized by them. Then Karn sharma doing spin services.

MI, RCB & GT are sure to enter playoffs (just that there is competition between these 3 to finish at Top 2), only 4th spot has to be decided (there's competition between DC & Punjab... Looking at form DC is declining & Punjab is rising)

There is an IPL match going on right now but this thread is not much active.

It shows even Indians are finding IPL way too long. :inti

IPL is like French fries. You can enjoy it once in a while but you are unlikely to enjoy it for 2 months straight.

It is simply junk cricket.

89,353 fans in Narendra Modi Stadium tonight and no - CSK, RCB, MI or KKR aren't playing tonight. :kp

Today's Abhishek's lbw review, impact is umpires call.. yesterday Rohit lbw review, impact is outside off... But it looks like more % of ball pitched in yesterday than today's one but different result..

Ishan Kishan played to slow to kill the game. GT bowled well too, especially Krishna

After his over the top celerbations in the first IPL game after scoring a 100, he has dont nothing, scoring single digits multiple innings. Good thing MI let him go and didnt buy him back.

GT defeat SRH to claim second spot on table
===
It was a stunning performance from Gujarat Titans on Friday as they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs in their IPL 2025 game at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The win made GT's case further strong for a spot in the playoffs. It was a seventh win in 10 matches for the Shubman Gill-led side and it moved to the second spot in the table with 14 points to its credit. Mumbai Indians, who too have as many points to their credit, continue to hold the top spot on the basis of a better net run rate.

GT's Sai Sudharsan has taken the Orange Cap from MI's Suryakumar Yadav with 504 runs in 10 matches. Meanwhile, GT fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has taken the Purple Cap from RCB pacer Josh Hazlewood with 19 wickets in 10 games.

Nah, it is not like that... Indians watch IPL games, watch it & forget it there! There is no discussion or intensity... With international games there is a sense of patriotism & zeal to win for the country, hence there is emotional outburst which comes instantly...

Also this is a Pakistani forum, definitely there is a lot of hue and cry in Local Indian Forums (especially Youtube Channel comment section) for IPL... You should expect more polished fans in international forums such as this... We are following IPL just to enjoy & not interested much in analyzing with these games... Also you won't see "vs." fans for IPL in this forum. You don't have a CSK fan vs RCB fan in this forum (Indian members here have a broader sense). But when it comes to International games we can have lots of Indian fan vs. Pak fan, Indian vs Ban or even Indian vs Aus fan clash (you even have ghost-fans supporting non-Indian teams when there is a clash with India and you know the reason for this :)) That's what drives this forum...

IPL streaming banned - A big move by Tapmad

Following India's ban on several Pakistani YouTube channels, including that of former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar, and the removal of Instagram accounts belonging to Pakistani actors, sports stars, and influencers, tensions between the two countries have spilled into the digital sports arena.

Major Indian platforms such as Cricbuzz have scrubbed all Pakistan Super League (PSL) content, and FanCode has ceased PSL streaming. This escalation came amid India's baseless allegations against Pakistan over the Pahalgam incident. In response, TAPMAD, Pakistan's leading streaming platform, has officially halted live streaming of IPL 2025 in Pakistan, marking a significant fallout in sports diplomacy between the two nations.

MI have to encounter all major/tougher teams from now (GT, Punjab, DC) though just 1 more win might be enough to qualify to playoffs, if they win 2 out of these 3 games, they will be battle-hardened going into playoffs (with already present clutch-factor and killer instinct they have) they will be extremely favorite to lift the trophy.

On the other hand RCB have rather easier games (CSK, LSG, SRH, KKR) they are looking good to win at least 2 out of these and end up at Top 2 in the table, but the intensity in these games will be low (with the oppositions not interested in contest) With this easier flow if they face MI twice (possibly) in the playoffs its not going to be easy beating them twice!

MI & RCB are favorites to win the cup, Delhi/Punjab are going to be weaker team and GT may not be able to maintain their intensity in playoffs. It would be another heart-break for RCB as they always face clutch teams in Finals (CSK/SRH and this time MI)

Why bother explaining to the roach...doesn't have the brains to process it... 🦐

MSD looks completely off.

No guidance, no instructions - just standing there in silence.

Feels like he’s lost that spark of control we’re so used to seeing.Hard to watch.

:kp

Dream Start for RCB (We can relate this to Pakistan's dominance in 80s, 90s and then India turning it around from late 00s...) RCB vs CSK rivalry is similar to Ind vs Pak...

Kohli likes Malinga, Pathirana kind of low release bowlers... Let's see...

Yeah, you need a reactor to develop discussion/argument. That won't happen in neutral platforms... For instance you won't see fan-fights for Argentina vs Brazil clash in India. They just enjoy the match for skills (from both the teams)...

Patidar should turn up today... (he has been bit off colour for some while)

RCB lost the momentum completely... Pitch also is not too flat (RCB Batted well in the first half). CSK may still falter chasing this... Any other stronger team would have capitalized on this, RCB should be careful....

It is good to have David & Shepherd kind of finishers, so RCB is a refined team this time (their bowling lineup is also good)

With this kind of a team RCB will have hope against MI (neck to neck) to win the title. In the previous teams RCB definitely had weak-links (though they had some high quality players, they always had weak-links for opposition to exploit, this time they are too rounded)
