IPL 2026 - Discussion thread

The issue with GT is that, apart from Glenn Phillips, none of their top five batters are genuinely explosive.
 
Finally Arshdeep's marathon last over done (saved by another wide drs call).. 11 ball he bowled last over..
 
GT bowlers are trying their best, but it’s not easy for them.
Connolly played really well, what a talent he is!

More than half the players in there are average or declined there's very less great players in there nowadays.... Indians clearly having problems accepting this.
 
Looks like they were 10 runs short Mumbai and RCB genuinely look better than different teams.
 
Prasidh Krishna was bowling yorkers really well, why did he suddenly start bowling hard-hitting balls and get thrashed?

Ya. but these are legit players who play at high strike rate. lol You can't compare statpadders. Those two are outliers.

The end may be nigh for Buttler. He doesn't look like the same way anymore. Slower reflexes, balance is not there, head position is not the same...

Suna hai PEEESSSLLL main match start hone ke time se pehle barish ruk gayi thi but due to garbage level ground condition, match was abandoned.

Last year roof se pani tapak Raha tha or ab ground se nikala ni jar rha. Or ye Pakistan ka best stadium hai. ... Kya cricket kheloge re tum. ..

They have this standard argument. Ya they were unfairly in the top ranking wth sheer volume of their performance against weak teams, b string teams, minnows with high average. But that is not a norm anymore.

Rain was not problem .rain ended when match about to start nut due to pathetic drainage system match was abandoned.

PSL postpone karo because Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore casually upgraded itself into an Olympic-level swimming venue overnight.

conditions were so bad that IPL had to add extra 2 hours so that they can complete the games??? Forgot about it??

Tum 2 kya 6 hour extra le lete to bhi cricket ground aka Swing pool ko khelne ke liye ready nahi kar sakte the.

Last year roof se pani ara tha or ab ground m bhar gya .. ye hal Pakistan ke best stadium ka hai. ...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

We can get rid of 2 teams in IPL (maybe the very two teams playing now - LSG & DC) also we will be spared from two low-profile stadiums (besides Delhi's pollution). We are doing mental damage to players like Rishab Pant, Jaiswal (who are rare assets in Tests), Gill, etc. by making them play in T20s/IPL. The tournament can also be made more compact and the intensity in teams (quality of players) can be high! CSK, GT too look inferior sides with aging and non-T20 players, these teams will be helped if total number of teams is reduced!

Players with star power will always be on the park. Pant is one. And also with more teams, more foreign players can take part. Also lot more youngsters get exposure.

First two matches happened at Wankhede and CHinnaswamy generally high scoring venues. Other venues are not that high scoring venues. Ahmedabad and hyderabad are next set of high scoring venues.
