Feels like RCB are going in with a few too many batters, do they really need David, Jitesh, Krunal and Romario all playing together? Leaves them a bowler short even with an impact player substitution

This utility will be needed when they go outside Chinnaswamy... Krunal is a good spinner outside Bangalore and Romario can also bowl well on slow pitches with long boundaries... They should stick to this combination! If Hazlewood is fit, they should definitely accomodate him along with Duffy... Then whom to live will be a question (I would remove Salt & play DDP as opener. Shift the batting order upper! This way we can remove one batsman & add one bowler)
 
RCB and CSK are playing only one match this season. I tried my best to get a ticket for today’s match, but no luck. Ticket prices in the resale market are selling at 3x.
 
They really dont need Rutherford i feel, could do with another overseas pacer and get Venkatesh Iyer in instead
 
So, Jamie Overton is bowling around 145-151K speed in IPL. How did he get so fast in matter of months?

He was always decent, but no where as quick as Nortje, Archer, Wood, Malik, etc. Then again I only recall seeing him during IND tour of ENG Test.

In Tests bowlers cannot sustain pace. He had decent gas. In Tests bowlers bowl fast only when it is needed like Siraj bowled at147 k on last day of oval test. Othewise they hover around mid 130s.

Dale Steyn is fast becoming one of my favourite commentators. Not only does he have the technical qualities, with being a (fairly) recently active cricketer, you also hear the excitement in his voice without going too overboard like Pieterson does. There is a nice balance in what he offers

One thing I can't stand is the fake enthusiasm of many of the commentators. One of the commentators revealed that he had to really crank it up for the Indian audience, coz the Star producers told him to.

IPL will be irrelevant and lose its charm the day every chindi cricket league stops looking at IPL as the ultimate benchmark and people look at IPL either as the devil or the savior of cricket. Eventually all good things decline or have highs and lows but don’t see it happening any time soon. We are good.

Too much of T20 is boring anyways be it IPL or internationals.

A Bengaluru techie lost Rs 1.46 lakh in an IPL ticket scam via a social media ad. Posing as an official, the fraudster extracted multiple payments for fake charges. The victim later reported the case at the police station.​


A 25-year-old Bengaluru techie lost Rs 1.46 lakh while trying to buy Indian Premier League (IPL) match tickets through an advertisement on a social media app. He was duped by a fraudster who was posing as a stadium official. The victim is a resident of B Narayanapura, and said that the fraudster claimed to be a senior supervisor at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The​

All this began when the victim saw an advertisement on Instagram, stating that they were selling IPL match tickets. The accused lured him with not just the tickets, but additional perks too, including food coupons and "VIP benefits".
According to a report by Deccan Herald, the victim allegedly bought two tickets priced at Rs 3700 each. But, the accused kept on asking for additional money, for refundable security deposits, extra ID cards for friends and meal coupons.

The victim transferred money in multiple transactions, using both his own bank account and his mother's account, since he reached his transaction limit. According to the report, he allegedly paid around Rs 1.46 lakh to the fraudster.

No Tickets, No Money Refund​

The accused sent an email confirmation to the victim and even told him to collect the tickets near Stadium Gate 10, saying that the delivery would be made within minutes. However, he did not receive any tickets. After continuous calls and follow-up, the accused did not even refund the money and kept on asking for additional payments.
After all this, the Bengaluru techie realised that he had been frauded and immediately contacted the cyber control room and filed a police complaint at the Mahadevapura police station.
The police are now investigating the cybercrime and tracing the accused. They have further advised to purchase tickets through official websites only and not get lured into social media scams.

Some sensitive folks seem to have completely lost their minds since I called PSL a vastly inferior league infront of IPL which is a just a simple bare fact that can't be argued.

Now they're just trying to cope and seethe on every thread by commenting obsessively , which is only making them look like clowns.

Doesn't change the fact that their mediocre league can't even dream of reaching its level. :inti

I don't follow IPL matches for the results but for checking new players.
Feel we are on a good one , a good crop of pacers emerging with Ashok Sharma clocking 150 kmph + ...& Kartik tyagi hitting 147kmph consistency- yes Rohit hit him for 6 first ball & he gave away big runs in the two matches he played,
but for me it's the bigger pic outside IPL & T20 ....don't care what they do here in IPL or if their team wins or loses...

Such guys have to be handled well with long term prospects in focus.

Such young pacy guys simply have to be given chances on the Zimbabwe tour & other series especially to bangladesh - should this materialize.

This is the beauty of the IPL ...

Adam Zampa says otherwise, the rejection really has made soooooooooooooooooooo many indian fans cry

the fact that no one has stated this yr Ipl is good, or even anything good has happened in it, shows its poor

yet again no prove, zampa interview is listed on pp and he clearly didnt state wat you indians have tried to state (thats he wouldnt have played enough games, as thrs many indian domestic legspinners) = ive never read even a indian article which states this

Pak posters themselves are claiming that it looks more like Faysal Bank T20 but delusional & emotional cry babies are comparing it to the IPL.

They should first overtake SAT20, BBL and the Hundred before even dreaming of competing with the IPL.
 
And it's only a matter of time when indian franchises who have domestic T20 players recruit them to play in the SA/BBL/hundred.

Doesn't have to be India's best players but they can go for the second rung players.

Anytime an Indian signs up for another league that becomes a big news. First DK in SA20. Ashwin with BBL. Now Ashwin is likely with 100.
