I'm not sure how true that is.

I don't think there is a Saudi hand in this. The gulf states don't have the stomach for a fight that can set their economy and tourism back.

And as much as they dislike the Ayatollah I think they would be more fearful of a more liberal and progressive Iran too.

Israeli Media reporting that Saudi Arabia could soon launch an attack against Iran

The Israeli media report makes sense when u look at what's actually happened in the last 48 hours i.e, Iran struck the US Embassy in Riyadh , hit the Ras Tanura refinery hard enough to shut it down and Saudi's military has now raised readiness to 'full alert" with sources confirming they're prepared to respond military if oil infrastructure keeps getting targeted .

Saudis had good relations with the Shah so they wouldn't be fearful of a liberal regime.

Saudis have wanted the Americans to strike Iran for decades. They don't have the guts to do it themselves as they know in a conventional war without US support - the Saudi Royal Family's guts would be spilled all over their jubbas.

Let's hope there's a few missiles saved for Saudi oil facilities (minus any people inside of course).

Not true . Saudi did have this stance amidst the Yemen war but China bought both to the table to agree peace , this was signed a few years ago .

Wouldn't trust a word that comes out of Americans and Israelis. They wouldn't care less about any of their Arab allies (Leader only).

DC likely wants Iranian to be tricked into attacking Saudia more so they can gain sympathy and support for their terrorism on Iran. This war has actually united Muslims more and all Sunnis are cheering for the brave Shias brothers for taking on the war mongering genocidal Terrorirsts. Those video clips of people in gulf celebrating Iranian bombs dropping on American military bases tell you how they and us all feel. That makes no sense at this time though. Saudis have changed tack with MBS and have been going full throttle to modernise and try to switch their economy away from reliance on oil. For that stability is crucial and a war of any length would devastate that.

I agree the Saudis aren’t trustworthy . However they made an agreement l, stopped the Yemen war with no aggression towards each other anymore .

IMO the Saudis said to Iran don’t hit our oil but go ahead and attack American embassy.

Arabs realise now greater Israel is the ultimate goal . If this continues the Arab regimes are themselves under threat

I'm not sure. There's a reason why Saudi is accepting Iranian attacks on critical facilities including massive refineries without hitting back.

They also dropped a big hint in their condemnation of the attacks saying they were committed to not allowing their airspace or facilities to be used in attacking Iran - just saying "guys, we had nothing to do with this. Leave us alone."

I think Saudi was very comfortable with the status quo. Iran had been thoroughly humbled with the annihilation of Hezbollah as well as last year's attacks on key facilities. They were going to lay low for a long while. This attack could only disturb the relative peace and cause Iran to lash out wildly as they have done.
 
Iran seems to have waited for the interceptor missiles stockpiles to get depleted and now launching successful barrage.

UN Nuclear Chief Sees No Evidence of Iranian Weapons Programme Amid Escalating Regional Strikes


The head of the UN nuclear watchdog said inspectors have found no evidence of a coordinated Iranian nuclear weapons programme, even as tensions in the Middle East escalate following US-Israeli strikes on Tehran.

International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi told NBC News that the agency had not identified “elements of a systematic and structured programme to manufacture nuclear weapons” in Iran. However, he confirmed Tehran has enriched uranium to 60 percent purity—“a level far beyond civilian energy needs” and “something only countries with nuclear weapons have.” Grossi added, “The centrifuges were spinning constantly and producing more and more of that material. Theoretically, this would have been enough to produce more than 10 nuclear warheads. But do they have them? No.”

Meanwhile, explosions continue across Tehran and other cities, with strikes reported in Isfahan near nuclear facilities. Sources indicate Iran’s television station and security headquarters were targeted. The Health Ministry reports nearly 800 civilians killed and over 5,000 wounded, with hospitals overwhelmed.

Iranian ambassador to the UN Ali Bahreini defended Tehran’s actions, saying, “If any base in a neighbouring country is used to attack and invade other countries, that would be a legitimate target,” and pledged Iran will continue its defence campaign “until the point this aggression is stopped.”

Israel has issued evacuation warnings for industrial zones in Tehran and the Payam International Airport. Iranian missile strikes have hit central Israel, injuring at least seven people in Bnei Brak and Rosh Haayin. Hezbollah confirmed shooting down an Israeli drone over Nabatieh and launching missiles into Israel following air raids on Beirut.

Former US official John Bolton supported the strikes, stating, “To eliminate Iran’s nuclear programme, to eliminate Iran’s support for terrorism, you have to eliminate the system in power… If you don’t do that, it will grow back.”

As regional tension spreads, the US embassy in Riyadh has warned of imminent attacks in eastern Saudi Arabia, and 186 missiles reportedly targeted the UAE, killing three and injuring 68.

The situation underscores rising fears of a wider Middle East conflict, with humanitarian and economic consequences mounting across the region.
