There is no point in having him in the squad. Period. However, can't do anything about it midway through the tournament.

There is no point in having him in the squad. Period. However, can't do anything about it midway through the tournament.

The point is we are not midway through the tournament, we are at the start. Watever plans management had that made them pick Kaneria have gone out of the window after, wait for it, ONE game in which he didn't do too badly. If he was cover for Afridi then he should have played. Furthermore Minows are more likely to struggle against a legspinner than another run of the mill fat medium bowler as in Azhar's case.
