With the pace battery that Aus has, they were always in control. Very hard to beat this Aus unit unless you are chasing a very modest total.

Starc is looking like a trundler after watching Cummins bowl.

We can take a lot of positives from this performance, the bowling after the terrible first 10 overs was excellent, the batsmen all contributed in some way but sadly our lower middle order again failed.

Massive credit to the Aussies for signing autographs and being eager to play as well, pace bowling is the difference I'm afraid. Off the field they all seem like decent blokes.

And eradicator the way you're posting you'd swear chasing 10 plus an over vs Starc,Cummins and Coulter-Nile would be a walk in the park. Clueless, literally every post you've made is just moaning and you went from "annual irish bashing" to "oh they lost an easy chase". Grow up. I've noticed some people have this real chip on their shoulder when it comes to the irish team.

Disappointing in the end but plenty to take, and bringing the world champions all the way is no laughing matter either, especially when its our second game this summer.

Decent performance. After first 10 overs it looked like a trashing, but Ireland came back well.

At one point they had a chance at 90/2, but lost wickets regularly.

Certainly deserves more games.

It works both ways though, our batting order is much more comfortable going at 5-6 an over for 40 plus overs as opposed to 8 an over for 27 overs. In the end D/L is the best solution possible I suppose.

Ireland should ask PCB to tour Pakistan & play a full ODI series of 5 ODIs. That is something which PCB will readily accept as they will get to play 5 ODIs at home. In return, Ireland can ask for a 5 ODI series in return in Ireland in 2017
