Is an India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy final on June 18 a real possibility?

Hmmmm hardly likely, Pakistan don't have the consistency to reach the next round.However if they do meet India, they tend to crack under pressure as history has shown. Their best chance was in 2009 when misbah played a lame shot to throw his wicket away after batting brilliantly to take pakistan to the brink.
 
tTo get to the Final Pakistan will have to beat Sri Lanka and then either England, New Zealand or Australia

Meanwhile, I'm guessing India will have to beat South Africa and also either England, New Zealand or Australia

None of that will be easy for either team, however, not impossible.

It is a possibility - however - I wouldn't bet on it.
 
How about an India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy 2017 Final?

Nothing is a bigger spectacle in cricket than an Indo Pak Cricket final.

The CT17 is providing another chance for that to happen once again. How excited are you guys at the prospect of another Indo Pak Final?
 
For an India Pak final to happen India have to defeat might of Bangladesh. While Pakistan has easy route of defeating SL and England

There is no way Pakistan defeats India, SA and England in the same tournament. They do a maximum of 1 upset per tournament.

He thought this was a Test match where Pak is allowed to follow-on, so can score 320 in two innings. :)

If you're going to troll at least get your numbers correct. If Amir and Ali are going to take 8 for 98 then one of Dhoni or Kholi have to score 8 runs less.

India has to overcome the night of Bangladesh while Pakistan has it easy against Lanka, England. Hopefully India makes it to make it a spectacle of a lifetime.
 
Pak needs to beat both Sri Lanka (ranked higher than Pak) & England (which is in super hot form) in order to reach fianls & meet India (incase they beat Bangladesh). However, if Pak is able to do this miracle then honestly, I don't see much of hope for India in the finals. Any team that can take on Morgan, Stokes, Butler, Root & come out on top definitely deserves the cup

on merit, the final should be between england and india

Pakistan and Bangladesh would need luck to get till the final
 
Passed one hurdle, two more hurdles left, one for each team.

I honestly won't be that sad if India lose the final, just would be amazing to actually see a final between these two teams for once having missed the 2007 T20 World Cup final.

Inshala, England and Bangladesh, your days are numbered! All the muslims in India and Pakistan are praying and Bangladesh muslims are outnumbered.

Once is a Decade (or two) opportunity for an Indo Pak finals at a world championship.

Not many we would get to see in a lifetime...

Please make it happen. The last time was a decade back in 2007 at T20 WC

Actually Pakistan's bowling attack is much more dangerous in England than it would be in Indian conditions. I would argue that English conditions also favor Indian pacers/seamers rather than Indian conditions.

English bowling really isn't that dangerous. Unfortunately, Pakistani batting may look them look better than they are :(

Let's not even get into discussing Pakistan's batting bro, that's as pointless a conversation as to figure out why men have nipples on their chest. Yes, our bowling is evidently competitive but even if he have an incredible day in the field the game in other disciplines would absolutely nullify any good doing whatsoever...

Only a miracle with a good old English choke can save us here, although at the moment even that is looking extremely far-fetched.

Good luck with the game. Pakistan's comeback in the tournament has been super impressive, and an India-Pakistan final would be one for the ages.

We have beaten England both home and away, we've beaten them 5-6 series consecutively at home and won 2-3 series out of 5 series away since 2001, the head to head between India and England in odis since 2001 is so much in India's favor, we don't care about the English ODI team, unlike other teams, we got their number :srini, we even destroyed their new and improved ODI team, it's their test team which has given us heartaches in the recent past but their odi team is bread and butter for us :yk

95% of the time England will thrash this Indian odi side outside Asia. It's a well known fact. But yes there's always a chance for an upset.

Thought England would maul Pak. The reverse is happening.

Pak raised their game while England were not up to the occasion.

India-Pak would be an epic final. Both teams on Form and it will be chaos.

Hopefully India will beat Bangs.

Pakistan and India to face each other in a major 50 over Final after 23 years?

Last time these 2 teams faced each other in a final was in AUSTRAL-ASIA cup back in 1994 when Pakistan won and who can forget Miandad Six against India in AUSTRAL-ASIA cup of 1986!

I hope boys learned the lesson in first game and will fight till last ball!

India fans always play down their chances against us when they know deep down they have the psychological advantage in Indo-Pak tournament games in this era !
 
India without a doubt. Purely because of the rivalry and history between the two sides. It will give us chance to redeem ourselves after the defeat in the first game.

2011 SF. Though was a semifinal, it wasn't any less than final in terms of intensity, tension, pressure, hopes.

If India wins their semi match, both India and Pakistan would go to the final with one loss in group stages. India had a respectable defeat against Sri lanka whereas Pakistan got decimated by India. So it's India who are the best team.

BD is a good team and they can reach finals.
Also don't forget We are playing our most off form lot o reputation plus IND fielding has been worst in 3-4 years this CT as well

I mean at least we were good in facet i.e batting against Sri Lanka whereas Pakistan got obliterated in both departments by India.
