Though the source is as authentic as the one who declared Pakistani men among the sexiest!

And who ranked Islamabad as the second most beautiful capital? Some unknown website?

I have listed the sources as well and has mentioned that they are similar websites that listed Pakistani people higher on happiness index and Pakistani men among sexist.

Amazing Pics didn't know honestly ,i guess Pakistan has the worst PR in the world that they are not able to advertise something like that.

And I posted an article which has debunked these rankings.

The one you posted has nothing to deny this. It only claims that same source listed Pakistan the most polluted region which was the WHO report on the basis of PM 2.5 (which is considered as pollution index). Plus that survey included only 19 countries, in other words, listed Pakistan the most polluted among the 19 countries.

The source quoted the WHO report regarding most polluted countries among the 19 while it declared Islamabad, the second most beautiful capital on its own report. Hardly anything thats debunking these rankings.

I just quoted the source which released these rankings and the method of rating beautiful cities by the website may or may not be accurate.

But interestingly, for people, its easier to declare the site which has established these ratings as unknown.
While same people can believe an equally unknown source denying these reports with a nothing argument.

The method for ranking the cities is as follows: You generate your own top 10 of anything and submit it to that website, and it may publish it. You might as well given your own ranking of beautiful cities.

big cities of Pakistan are not as dirty as mostly SC cities are, & small cities & towns are even more better specially of Punjab & KPK

In the 8th pic you can see garbage near the building and a pond with scum. Maybe Islamabad is the most beautiful city in Pakistan, but no way is it among the top 10 in the world.

I think Islamabd is the city made for poets cool, calm, lot of greenery, very less poluted. One can easily read out a book here of 300 pages in day without being disturbed.

Beautiful pics would love to visit. However the article looks like it was written by a 10 year old

All the pics are of buildings, highways and hills. Where are the people? Where is the soul of the city? From the pics it looks like a ghost town.

the pic he attached is uncompleted Centaurus & it is expected that during construction it can be around by dirt & filth. here is the one after completed.View attachment 56878

Looks ugly and out of place. That architecture does not go with the surroundings. If buildings make a place beautiful then Manhattan is the most beautiful place on earth.

True Islamabad is pretty much a soulless city, I think every Pakistani should admit that.. and I'm from Islamabad myself, the city literally gets dead after 9Pm..

The only things positive about Islamabad are its 1)Greenery 2)Margalla Hills 3)Fatima Jinnah Park 4)Daman-e-Koh 5)Cleanliness 6)Centauras Mall 7)Chicks ..

yes indeed ISLBD is the silent city

So which is the best city in Pakistan? Is it right to say Islamabad in natural beauty, Lahore in culture and Peshawar in hospitality?

And yes Karachi once used to be the best city in Pak, and now its the worst!! thanks to the target killers and Talibans..

PS: I'm not a racist against Afghanis or anybody, I just don't think its right for Pakistan a country with already soo many problems should host over 5 Million of refugees from poverty struck Afghanistan, also I heard that they hate Pakistan too..

Yaar, kindly stick to the topic about which is the beautiful city. No need to discuss other things.

drug is the least thing you mentioned, weaponised Pakistan, street crimes, kidnappings, dirt & filth the cities, they are just a state within a state.

& no never they wouldnt go back, now most of them have made Pakistani ID cards here & enjoying their lavish lives here.

and they hate Pakistan too on top of that

Rawalpindi is the real heart of the city, Islamabad was built as a designer alternative. It used to be described as soulless previously, I would have thought that as the city gets more populated, there will be more going on. Prices for property there are sky high now.

Absolutely shocking if ISb is 2nd beautiful capital in the world just came back from Isloo that road from Metro is just awful  #bumpy.ride

We have a Kothi in F7 courtesy of my late dad. I found the place to be clean but more like a suburb rather than a city.

Yeah that road is terrible. Metro is near Railway Carriage Factory (I-10 or I-11), some of those I sectors are adjacent to IJP road which separates the Rwp and Islamabad. So that region has more of a Pindi touch in it. Plus that road is a route of lot of oil-tankers, trucks and heavy vehicles since that road leads to Peshawar Road which provides access to both motorway and GT-Road, bot of them are the main highways paths to the rest of the country.

I don't know about that road but there are certain regions in Islamabad, of which CDA don't takes responsibility. Those areas are more like Rawalpindi than Islamabad.

What is the name of the park in Islamabad where tiny sand cyclones occur all the time? I remember going to the park on my one day trip to the capital city.

Plz,dont degrade RWP by blaming that they are link roads of twin cities therefore they're in poor condition, jave you travelled on roads of RWP Cantt they are top class

Tiny sand cyclones occurs all the time?? Thats a first to me, that has more to do with the climate than the park..

Btw: Fatima Jinnah Park is the largest park in Islamabad, probably you visited there, and its a beautiful park ...

No comparison between Islamabad and Rwp roads. When you drive in Rwp (even in Cantt where I live), you need to be extremely careful. Lot of open gutters, 'khhadas', irregular speed breakers and roads much narrower than Islamabad. And now there is a new trend of marking and separating U-turn lanes by placing or cementing barriers, which are not detectable at night. I used to witness a car stuck in one of those atleast once a week.

And I am not talking about the road sense as yet. People overtaking from wrong side, keep driving to extreme left even when they have to take a U-turn and then take a sudden sharp turn infront of other vehicles, signals not followed when no traffic police etc. These things make it even worse. And Cantt is one of the most well managed regions of Rwp. You go to interior e.g all areas adjacent to Muree Road and even Adyala Road. My college used to be there and I would rather walk 3-4 kms than be on any vehicle at noon.

Roads are much better, wider and vehicle/driver friendly in Islamabad. Driving is a pain in Rwp while you literally enjoy it in Islamabad.

Degrading Rwp is the last thing I would want anyone do let alone doing it myself. But you need to be realistic. Even my relatives from outside the city can easily tell where does Rawalpindi ends and Islamabad starts just by observing the condition of the roads.

Islamabad might be beautiful but it has no soul or culture.. if you want to see real Pakistan you have visit Lahore, Karachi, Sailkot, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Quetta..

Pssh, Islamabad got nothing on Dublin, home to 300 heroin junkies per square inch and the most pointless monument in the history of mankind

Haven't properly visited this city in my lifetime. I am planning a trip with my friends in June so will be heading up there as well. Lots of partying to do! :))

There was a similar thread on Islamabad a few months ago. I recall because that's where I saw the same pictures above, and discovered that unlike our capital city (Delhi), it's hardly the most happening city in Pakistan.

Islamabad is a beautiful beautiful city..

I am from Lahore and yet I love it.. It is really clean and well planned.

True, Islamabad is quiet compared to the rest of Pakistani cities. Though it is beautiful nonetheless.

Why does everyone keep saying Isloo is quiet?? That might have been true in the 70's but now it is a completely different story.

And OP Yes, it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Simply breathtaking.

yeah Islamabad is a big capital city but with a nature of sleepy quiet quaint little town. It is very picturesque and beautiful.

If you want hip and happening, go to Lahore and Karachi. If you want cleanliness, organization and a more developed and scenic setting, Islamabad is where you should go.

My dad was stationed in Kahuta years ago, which is a hour and a half from Islamabad. I fell in love with the city then. Now it is even more beautiful.

I remember the monkeys at shakar parian, literally monkeying around with the tourists and snatching their belongings looking for food.

There is no bias here at all.:asif

Islamabad is the most soulless city i have ever visited, first its too tiny and second has no culture at all. Coming from karachi, lived half of my life i found lahore and pindi too be extremely congested cities.

At least from the pictures Islamabad looks miles better than any Indian city.

Some say Gurgaon, India is beautiful. Never been there though..

Whats with Karachi folks deriding other cities in the country?

Not every city should look like karachi and karachi should not look like other cities.

Stop being a sour puss!

Man Islamabad is something else entirely when it rains! It's like all the beauty comes to life!

Islamabad sure is a beautiful capital but to call it a city is being too generous.

So the thread title maybe right as it is indeed a beautiful capital.

Also relatively soulless and def doesnt have much culture

Islamabad is probably best citing to live in Pakistan. It's beautiful, not just the looks but weather, you can enjoy all four season, in hot summer Murree and Kashmir (my village) is just couple of hours away...

Where as in Karachi and Lahore it's very hot, hot or warm... Once I went to Lahore in winter, I though I will really enjoy Lahore as weather is nice, very disappointed to see people use to sleep 2/3 in summer but 11 in summer.
Karachi I have only seen under Altaf regime in 90s, it was a mess of city, while city close down at 8/9, feel like you are in ghost town.

Islamabad culture is different from other cities... It is still evolving, as it is a new city. Other problem is Pakistan has gone in reverse direction from 60s to 90s to now. From modern/liberal to ill tolerant/ backward that has not let Islamabad develop its culture the way originally thought. Imagine Dubai has same restriction like Jadha, how in the world it would have evolved to be hub between Arab and Europe.

Islamabad was supposed to connect Pakistan to modern world, it may happen in next few decades, but till now it really had a bad start like our typical opening partnerships [emoji8][emoji8]

Ah Islamabad, built using the money of other provinces to provide comfortable accommodation for bureaucrats and politicians. It is an oversized suburb, definitely not a "city".
I would pick Lahore over it in jiffy.

Also is it really the second most beautiful capital?
Off the top of my head...
DC, Brasilia, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Madrid, Tel Aviv, Pretoria, Ottawa, Stockholm, Edinburgh, Oslo, Helsinki, King's Landing, Ankara, Budapest. Hell even Tehran is prettier with the mountains and the snowfall. No doubt there are at least 30-40 more capitals which are above it.

I guess the only list it comes in contention will be for the most beautiful capital of the third world. Which is a real shame imo, we wasted money to make a beautiful suburb for the elite while other poor countries were providing for their people.
