they are making the same mistake as last time, no genuine spinner selected. badree isnt wicket taking option, inran khalid is also same as badree, ajmal needs to prove himself as a wicket taking bowler.

in the batting, they needed another khalid latif type batsmen, but then again they have misbah himself.

im scared of shane watsons spin weakness.

Watch out for Ben Duckett. Very explosive batsman, the kind of power hitter Pakistan national team sorely needs.

He is highly rated in England and should be a regular for years to come in limited overs.

Glad to see Shadab Khan picked up, should be a useful learning experience especially with Samuel Badree there too.

Not entirely sure on the timings but they may consider Billings as having a small chance (well, larger than Roy's) of being available for the entire season if England go for a full strength odi squad in the West Indies.

Billings can be destructive to if utilised correctly, he's a little inconsistent but has become better with experience

Lahore does have strong batting no doubt and Zalmi bowling attack is strong for these conditions. Tamim and Hafeez give them a good base at the top of the order

this is why lahore messed up, they made too many changes. karachi also made the same mistake. they started the draft well, bur at the other half of it made some terrible choices, though i admire karachi for actually staying true to their words and selecting some real unknown emerging players.

peshawars team is strong, but shahid afridi could single handedly lose games for them by making stupid selections. afridis captaincy was terrible last time so lets see darren sammys captaincy.

Iftikhar not getting selected was a shock but not too upset we didn't get him. No stabliser is the only thing that worries me. Khalid and Samuel Badree are decent enough spinners

Easily one of the strongest t/20 teams of the world. A lot of powerhitters, Sharjeel, Billings, Duckett, Latif. The experience and known strength of Misbah, Watson, Haddin, Russell and Smith. Easily this team can break batting records of the world. Bowling looks extremely strong too. Badree and Ajmal are easily the best spinners in the world. (Ajmal is obviously going to chuck in PSL) Pace of Russell and Sami will be key too. Sami has suddenly got amazing line and length in the alter part of his career and still bowling 145+. IU kept almost same team, which to me is not a good idea. They won last time, but I don't think it's a balanced squad this year - batting is too weak in the bottom half. Misbah kept almost every senior player, but dropped the most important one (for me) - Babar; because their batting is damn week. Might play Billings (Or Duckett later), in exchange of Badree (Or Haddin, but Misbah won't drop a senior player for an younger one). Ideally, Babar should have batted at 3 in this team, but Misbah kept Asif Ali in exchange which has made the batting weak. Opposite like KK, it's a team who'll struggle to chase.

They should make the KO stage over Quetta, but won't make the Final.

I get what your saying but on some of the slower and lower wickets in the UAE, likes of Watson and Russell may not fare well against spin and could struggle to rotate the strike whilst Babar is more able to do that.

But on flat batting decks we should cope find without Babar. Would prefer to have him in the squad though.

The wickets will turn of course, hopefully we don't have pitches like we did in the 1st PSL. Didn't enjoy the ball not even coming onto the bat . Umar Akmal did play some good innings so wasn't all that bad in them early games.

He looked incredible I felt he turned a corner, hadn't see him bat with so much maturity and then he went to the world cup and performed a botch mania regardless of how he could have been utlised he was awful, yeah the pitches should defo be better this time hopefully, tbh I didn't mind them at first and the pitches got better eventually to balance things out, too often we've been use to high scoring slog fests with nothing in it for the bowler

Pitches did improve later in the tournament can't deny that.

Bowlers who have experience of uae conditions will be key for the franchises.

Remember Bret Lee hitting 150kph in his last BBL stinct at the age of 37 ? Even at that age he increased his Pace. A year ago he was operating in higher 130's and lower 140's but in his last season he stunned us all.


Definitely it all happened through 2 months of hard training.

Is Misbah going to keep the armband? am not sure it's a great idea, he doesn't seem quiet there mentally and perhaps he should take a backseat and just enjoy himself being a batsman. Yeah Russel was our lucky charm to! Badree is one of my favourite bowlers because my style is similar to him, I rely mostly on variations with me wrists rotated at 360 degrees and don't bowl the leg break, much like badree rely on ze googly! ze toppie! ze slidey! He's terribly underrated.

We should sign Hammad, am shocked he has not been picked by any franchise. We will give Amad and Ghulam an opportunity, management are on point when it comes to utlizing their resources especially when things dont go well.

Is Misbah going to keep the armband? am not sure it's a great idea, he doesn't seem quiet there mentally and perhaps he should take a backseat and just enjoy himself being a batsman. Yeah Russel was our lucky charm to! Badree is one of my favourite bowlers because my style is similar to him, I rely mostly on variations with me wrists rotated at 360 degrees and don't bowl the leg break, much like badree rely on ze googly! ze toppie! ze slidey! He's terribly underrated.

We should sign Hammad, am shocked he has not been picked by any franchise. We will give Amad and Ghulam an opportunity, management are on point when it comes to utlizing their resources especially when things dont go well.

I think that kamran ghulam isn't in ISLU's squad this time
