A collective guilty conscious for what they allowed when Hitler was doing. Than one thing you have to give credit to jews is the way they used their money to get good education and have established themselves in important roles in govts and countries. Plus, they have told the oppression they faced in the past in the form of media. They rightly did so which makes the masses to have sympathy for them.

Muslims have failed to do so, infact, for many years TV was considered as haram so we never used to benefit of media. Even today, many Muslim nations have not bothered to write books or make movies or series about the brutalities they have faced.

The mass migration of Muslims from India in 1947, not a single movie has ever been made.

When you dont know how to use media for story telling, than how can you expect others to care about you?

The war between the jews and muslims will always be about who adopts the new ways of life faster. That was what Sir Syeds whole ideology was in the 1800s when Muslims were not getting anything from the British Raj while the non muslims benefitted the most from them.
While most of this is true, there's also a (not so) subtle element of racism there. Israelis for most of the west are seen as 'people like us' - white skinned, European migrants with similar political systems, values etc. compared to the 'towel headed' sea of barbarians they are surrounded by.

Israel has done an excellent job projecting itself as the only natural ally of the west in the strategic middle east.

Lindsay Graham and John Bolton are urging the US to retaliate against Iran.

I am not fond of consipiracy theories .. but when you look at how these people above and many others are so focussed 24/7 on starting another middle-eastern war, it is sensible to think there exists a military industry complex with a lot of politicians in their pocket.

I know it exists but are these TV guests cum politicians like Bolton and Lindsey Graham a part of it ? Do they get financially rewarded by these corporations like Lockheed/Boeing in return for lobbying for war?

Good spot. But plenty of polticians get donations from arms companies.

The thing is these two names I mentioned above stand out with regards to advocating attacking Iran. They talk about it ALL the time. Must be getting some extra bribes on the side.

Ofcourse they are. One of the Lockheed martin tech offices is in my city, noway can they afford to pay such amazing coders without creating a demand.

Ex DRDO coders work in DXC (bang average) , ex lockheed usually end up very creative and rich, Lockheed also has a highschool competition every year for C languages (Code quest).

President Raisi: IRGC warriors taught Israel ‘unforgettable lesson’

“Last night, your zealous and courageous children in the IRGC, with the cooperation and coordination of all the defense and political sectors of the country, turned a new page in the history of Iran’s authority and taught a lesson to the Zionist enemy,” Raisi said in a statement on Sunday.

He said the operation was within the framework of Iran’s right for “legitimate self-defense” in response to the aggressive actions of the Zionist regime against the objectives and interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially the attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria, which led to the martyrdom of a number of IRGC warriors.

“During the last six months and especially the last ten days, the Islamic Republic of Iran has used all the available regional and international tools and facilities to draw the attention of the international community to the deadly dangers resulting from the inaction of the United Nations Security Council against the continuous violations committed by the Zionist regime,” he wrote.

"But unfortunately", Raisi hastened to add, "the Security Council, under the influence of the United States and some other supporters of the Zionist regime, has been prevented from fulfilling its duties."

“In the first step, the Islamic Republic of Iran tactfully and intelligently targeted some of the military bases of the occupying, anti-security, and anti-stability regime in its drone and missile operation,” he noted.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran considers regional peace and stability essential for its national security and spares no efforts to restore and maintain peace and stability. Iran's strength lies in its commitment to security and its dedication to defending the interests of countries and nations in the region. The Islamic Republic of Iran is resolute in advancing neighborly policies and promoting friendship and cooperation with neighboring countries."

Calling resistance "key to reviving peace and security in the region and countering any form of occupation and terrorism", he said, "Iran attributes the root cause of the crisis in the region to the genocidal and violent policies of the Zionist regime."

President Raisi went on to say that "any new adventure against Iran's interests will be met with a firm and regrettable response", and added, "Should the Zionist regime or its supporters display reckless behavior, they will face an even more resolute reaction."

He also advised the backers of the occupying regime "to appreciate this responsible and proportionate action by the Islamic Republic of Iran and refrain from supporting the aggressive Zionist regime blindly."

"We underscore that Iran's robust defense against external hostilities is a result of the unity and solidarity of our great and beloved nation, as well as the brave efforts of the IRGC and the Army."

IRGC chief says Israeli attacks will prompt direct Iranian retaliation moving forward

The head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Sunday that any future Israeli attacks on Iranian interests and people will provoke direct retaliation from Iran itself.

“We have established a new equation: henceforth, any assault by [Israel] on our people, property, or interests will trigger a reciprocal response originating from within the Islamic Republic of Iran,” state media quoted the IRGC’s chief commander Hossein Salami as saying.

Salami’s remarks followed Iran’s unprecedented assault on Israeli territory late Saturday, a retaliatory move against Israel’s deadly strike on Tehran’s consulate in Damascus on April 1.

Salami said that Iran’s retaliation was a targeted operation, focusing solely on the facilities used to carry out the consulate attack.

“This operation could have been very extensive, but we limited the scope of the operation to the facilities that [Israel] used to attack our consulate,” he said.

Salami warned that should Israel choose to retaliate, “our subsequent action will be much harsher, drawing upon the insights we have gathered regarding their capabilities.”

The Israeli military said that Iran launched over 300 drones and missiles toward Israeli territory, causing 12 injuries.

Iran said its attack was “completely successful,” but Israel said that the majority of the drones and missiles were intercepted before reaching Israeli territory with assistance from allies, including the US.

Biden tells Israel’s Netanyahu US would not take part in attack against Iran: Reports

President Joe Biden has told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the United States would not participate in any Israeli counteroffensive against Iran, according to reports on Sunday by CNN and the Wall Street Journal.

Iran launched hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel on Saturday night in response to a suspected Israel attack on Iran’s Syria consulate on April 1.

Speaking with Netanyahu late on Saturday, Biden suggested further response was unnecessary, and senior US officials told their counterparts that the United States would not participate in an offensive response against Iran, CNN and the Wall Street Journal reported.

John Kirby, the White House’s top national security spokesperson, told ABC’s “This Week” program on Sunday that the United States will continue to help Israel defend itself, but does not want war with Iran.

“We don’t seek escalated tensions in the region. We don’t seek a wider conflict,” Kirby said.

Biden has said no to an attack and the Israelis are saying the things that the Iranians used to say ' we will attack when we decide to' .

I think it's over for now but will be interesting to see how markets react this week.

Are they all crazy? What sort of hypocrisy is this? Israel is killing innocents in Gaza, and they are crying over Iran's attack on Israel.

Was this Cameron also active on X when Israel attacked Iranian consulate in Syria and killed 7 people.

Regarding the dhulm which is happening in Gaza, I have no hope from these hypocrites and GB is probably the worst country in Europe.

Biden meets with G7 leaders to discuss Iran attack

President Joe Biden met with G7 leaders Sunday, where they condemned Iran's attack and affirmed their support for Israel, the White House said.

"President Biden spoke by secure video with the leaders of the G7 today," the White House said in a post on X, formerly Twitter. "The leaders condemned Iran's unprecedented attack against Israel and reaffirmed the G7's commitment to Israel's security."

Iran's attack on Israel was a "declaration of war", Israel's president has told Sky News

Isaac Herzog said it was "about time the world faces this empire of evil in Tehran".

World leaders need to "make it clear" to the Iranian regime that its behaviour is "unacceptable", Mr Herzog added.

"We should be looking lucidly at the phenomena called Tehran and Iran."

Israel has not sought war since its creation in 1948, the president insisted.

"We are peace seekers. We went to peace with our neighbours time and time again. Unfortunately, it all started on the 7th of October when another proxy of Iran, Hamas, led an unbelievably brutal massacre against Israeli citizens and the rest is history. We know it. So we should it in perspective."

He described Iran's launch of more than 300 drones and missiles towards Israel on Saturday as "just another example of how [Tehran] has operated for years and years".

"We were attacked last night from four corners of the Middle East with proxies shooting at us, firing missiles and ballistic missiles, drones and cruise missiles," he told Sky News's Middle East correspondent, Alistair Bunkall.

"This is like a real war. I mean, this is a declaration of war," he said, before adding that Israel would exercise restraint.

Asked whether he agreed with Western allies who are calling for calm, Mr Herzog said: "The last thing that Israel is seeking in this region since its creation is to go to war - we are seeking peace."

But Tehran has been "spreading havoc, terror and instability all over the world, and especially in our region", he said.

Iran has proxies all over the Middle East and terror cells all around the world, Mr Herzog went on.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its direct assault on Israel was in retaliation for an "attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus" on 1 April.

Two generals and seven members of the IRGC were killed in the strike, which Tehran blamed on Israel. Israel has not publicly commented.

Mr Herzog told Sky News the strike "wasn't in the consulate" but in a "separate building nearby the consulate".

He added that the most senior general assassinated had led operations from Lebanon and Syria.

There had been "terror attacks day in, day out, with the entire machine instructed from Tehran", he said.

Mr Herzog said the "number one issue" for Israel was the release of hostages still being held in Gaza.

"We want them back as soon possible," he said. "The entire world leadership is calling for that. But Hamas is adamantly refusing. Time and again. That's the real situation at hand."

Regarding aid deliveries to Gaza, he said: "We've opened up many crossings and passages. We've enabled an enormous amount of aid also to be parachuted down, and also coming from the sea and from terrestrial openings."

Following last night's attack, the IDF said 99% of Iranian missiles and drones were intercepted.

Mr Herzog said he was "happy that we are part of an incredible coalition of nations that has been part and parcel in preventing most of these missiles and drones and weapons to come into Israel".

Iran has every right to respond to the attack Israel carried out in Lebanon.

Now that Israel is receiving a taste of its own medicine and everyone in the West is feeling the repercussions.

US will not take part in retaliatory action against Iran, White House says

President Joe Biden warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the US will not take part in a counter-offensive against Iran if Israel decides to retaliate for a mass drone and missile attack on Israeli territory overnight, a White House official said.

The threat of open warfare erupting between the arch Middle East foes and dragging in the United States has put the region on edge, triggering calls for restraint from global powers and Arab nations to avoid further escalation.

US media reported earlier on Sunday that Biden had informed Netanyahu he would not participate in retaliatory action in a phone call overnight. The remarks were confirmed to Reuters by a White House official.

The US will continue to help Israel defend itself, but does not want war, John Kirby, the White House’s top national security spokesperson, told ABC’s “This Week” program on Sunday.

Iran launched the attack over a suspected Israeli strike on its consulate in Syria on April 1 that killed top Revolutionary Guards commanders and followed months of clashes between Israel and Iran’s regional allies, triggered by the war in Gaza.

However, the attack from more than 300 missiles and drones, mostly launched from inside Iran, caused only modest damage in Israel as most were shot down with the help of the US, Britain and Jordan.

An Air Force base in southern Israel was hit, but continued to operate as normal and a 7-year old child was seriously hurt by shrapnel. There were no other reports of serious damage.

Western media & those reading it without thinking are seeing this large wave of attacks as nothing much , downplaying it , while Zionist are calling for war .

Israelis are not renowned combatants, most of the IDF are made up of skinny , camp & poorly trained ‘soldiers’ . They only have superior fighter jets . Iran would defeat Israel pretty easily , if decides to attack with its hypersonic missiles . Iran didn’t want to strike & kill civilians, it wanted to prove it can strike targets , which it did on an air base but to also show the fear Zionists have & what else could come their way .

Israel needs UK & USA , but both realise their public is sick of Israel & already broke & angry . Any war with Iran would bring down already weak western economies. Causing huge civil unrest .

Israel should be dismantled, it’s a religious nutjob nation aiming to cause the world to burn down . Not many more disgusting entities have existed

They did but what was the attack supposed to prove that its a warning?
Yes obviously, Iran has shown Israel that if any misadventure is attempted in the future so Iran is not far away from them and can retaliate so hard.

It seems Iran coordinated this attack with USA. They told USA exactly what they were gonna do and when. Told them to prepare Israel to shoot down the drones/Missiles. USA coordinated with UK, France and Jordan to shoot down the drones.

If this was not the case USA would retaliate on behalf of Israel.

Iran needed this attack to respond to Israel bombing their embassy to please their own public.

Worth noting the Christian/Jew "ummah" is strong. All of Europe, Australia, Canada and US will fight for Israel if needed. No one will support Iran.

I dont think they coordinated but gave away most of their plan on purpose.

If Iran was placed elsewhere Ie off the coast of Africa , USA would strike but it’s geographic location means war with Iran will bring down the world & trigger a global conflict. This is still possible, Zionists don’t listen to anyone .

Must be extremely silly when Iran lost people and Israel lost no one?
That wasn't their aim, note that this is the first time in history that Iran has attacked Israel from its own soil and that is significant. So much so that Israeli hardliners are calling for retaliation on Iran directly which would plunge the whole Middle East into chaos.

Respect to iran for going through with it.

Biden speaks with Jordanian king as G7 leaders condemn Iranian attack

President Joe Biden and Jordanian King Abdullah II spoke on the phone Sunday about Iran's attack on Israel, according to the White House.

The two leaders discussed Iran's "unprecedented attack" on Israel, the White House said without elaborating.

Earlier Sunday, Biden met with G7 leaders, who jointly condemned Iran's attack on Israel.

"We, the Leaders of the G7, unequivocally condemn in the strongest terms Iran’s direct and unprecedented attack against Israel. Iran fired hundreds of drones and missiles towards Israel. Israel, with the help of its partners, defeated the attack," the G7 leaders said in a joint statement.

The statement added, "We express our full solidarity and support to Israel and its people and reaffirm our commitment towards its security."

The G7 leaders said the actions of Iran "further stepped toward the destabilization of the region and wrists provoking uncontrollable regional escalation."

"We demand that Iran and its proxies cease their attacks, and we stand ready to take further measures now and in response to further destabilizing initiatives," the statement said.

Iran backed militants in Syria attacked a ship carrying cargo to India.

Indian Navy was deployed in the region and Iran was delivered a message.

Since then no attacks on cargo ships to India or near India.

So Iran has worked to stop the escalation.

In the past it was the israel is just stuck in between Arabs /browns who hate them . Since the cold blooded murder in Gaza , more people have learnt about Palestine in the last 6 months & more importantly learnt what Israel is …& the danger it possesses to the future of the humanity , a real chill has been felt by people.

30 years ago it was BBC , the tabloid rags who controlled information & programmed minds , now it’s impossible with immediate forms of information available. More people watch tik tok & YouTube than all networks combined .

Israel also is not caring to hide & device as before , it wants its intentions to be open & clear . This is a fascist trait , arrogance & willingness to destroy any opposition, by any means .

Deep down most have woken up to the reality of.. if Israel goes down its taking planet earth with it.

They are more hot air and less substance.

Iran could destroy Israel in hours if it & hezbollah unleashed all it’s missiles & arsenal. But Iran doesn’t want to cause destruction & death to its people. But like Israel if it will take everyone down if it’s existence is at threat .

People thinking Iran should do more or are scared , will be the first crying if there’s a world a war , esp in poor countries in the region inc India .

Iran warns Israel, US of ‘severe response’ in case of retaliation

Iran has warned Israel of a larger attack on its territory should it retaliate against Tehran’s overnight drone and missile attacks, adding that the United States should not back an Israeli military action.

“If the Zionist regime [Israel] or its supporters demonstrate reckless behaviour, they will receive a decisive and much stronger response,” Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi said in a statement on Sunday.

Raisi’s statement follows a similar warning by Iranian military chief, Major-General Mohammad Bagheri, who told state TV that a “much larger” response awaits Israel “if it retaliates against Iran”.

Bagheri said the Iranian attack on Israel “has achieved all its goals, and in our view the operation has ended, and we do not intend to continue”.

Earlier on Sunday, he warned the US that any backing of Israeli retaliation would result in its bases being targeted by Iran.

However, in a signal that Iran’s response was calculated in an attempt to avoid any major escalation, the Iranian foreign minister Amir Abdollahian said that Tehran had informed the US of the planned attack 72 hours in advance, and said that the strikes would be “limited” and for self-defence.

That did not stop more aggressive language from other officials, with the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Salami, warning that Tehran would retaliate against any Israeli attacks on its interests, officials or citizens.

“From now on, whenever Israel attacks Iranian interests… we will attack from Iran.”

Nobody should want full our war with anyone. We need world governments to collectively push for an end to this madness. Day by day we are inching towards disaster. World wars aren't started by design....it's always an accident or a random event that kicks things off.

A Russian missile that strays into Poland or an Iranian proxy that gets out of hand, or Israel going further deranged and popping the world into more chaos it's frighteningly close.

It’s tough for Iran, they are the underdogs in all sense in any conflict with Israel or the west.
If they don’t do anything, domestically they would face pressure, if they do something it can cause their whole country to be wiped off the map.

They have to find a way to keep the domestic audience content and not **** of the western world.

Difficult situation to be in and till now in this particular conflict they have played their hand perfectly.

Both the domestic audience is content with the response and the west isn’t pissed since they didn’t do much damage.

Geo-Politics is not black or white, you can call them cowards and useless but they don’t really have many choices.

If Israel retaliates in response to Iran's retaliation, then there will be a massive war. Europe is not ready for it because they have already spent a lot of money in the Russia-Ukraine war.

At UNSC meeting, Iran and US swap threats while Israel urges ‘all possible sanctions’ over attack

The United Nations Security Council holds a meeting on the situation in the Middle East, including Iran's recent attack against Israel, at UN headquarters in New York City on April 14, 2024. (AFP)

NEW YORK: Iran has on Sunday said that it has no intention of engaging militarily with the US in the region, but if the latter initiates a military operation against it, its citizens, or security interests “Iran will use its inherent right to respond proportionately."

Iran’s permanent representative to the UN Amir Saeid Iravani told a meeting of the UN Security council that his country’s Saturday attack on Israel was "precise, only targeted military objectives and was carried out carefully to minimize the potential for escalation and prevents civilian harm."

Iran on Saturday launched dozens of drones and missiles at Israel in retaliation against an Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, which killed seven revolutionary guards, including two generals. Iran had warned that Israel would be “punished” for the strike, which took place on April 1.

The emergency Security Council meeting was requested by Israel’s permanent representative to the UN Gilad Erdan who called council members to “unequivocally condemn Iran (and) immediately act to designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization.”

Iran had said that Saturday’s attack was in line with Article 51 of the UN Charter, which invokes the “inherent right of individual or collective self-defense if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security.”

US ambassador Robert Wood warned that “if Iran or its proxies take actions against the United States or further action against Israel, Iran will be held responsible. "

Wood condemned in the strongest terms "the unprecedented attack on Israel by Iran and its militant proxies and partners.” Iran's "reckless actions" not only posed a threat to populations in Israel, but also to other UN member states in the region, including Jordan and Iraq, he added.

Tehran’s move ‘more chess than a show of strength

TEHRAN’S retaliatory strikes against Israel, in response to Tel Aviv’s actions against Iranian interests in Syria — especially the April 1 attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus — were less about inflicting substantial damage on Israel and more about a strategic recalibration, aimed at restoring deterrence, which would have long-lasting implications for regional security.

The strikes, which marked the first such attack since the Yom Kippur War of 1973, elicited a wide range of reactions across the world. Some critics denounced the strikes as an “unnecessary escalation” that risked further destabilising an already tense region. Others questioned the actual effectiveness of the strikes in causing significant devastation.

Meanwhile, there were voices that viewed the strikes as a victory for Iran.

Tehran’s actions were prompted by the attack on its consulate in Damascus, in which seven of its military advisers, including three senior commanders serving in Syria, were killed, marking a major escalation in Israel’s conflict with Iran.

A response from Tehran, which had in Jan 2020 carried out strikes on a US base in Iraq to avenge the killing of IRGC Commander Qassem Soleimani, was always imminent. Israel and its allies knew about that and had since then been preparing to defend against the assault.

Iran too wasn’t very secretive about its plans; Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian disclosed that US and Iran’s neigbours had been notified about the attacks at least 72 hours in advance.

Senator Mushahid Hussain, who has led the Senate’s Foreign Affairs and Defence committees in the past, told Dawn: “Iran did the right thing, strictly in accordance with UN Charter Article 51 in self-defence and international law.”

The reaction from Pakistan’s Foreign Office also contained a reference to the Damascus consulate attack as the trigger for Iranian action against Israel.

Iran will cease to exist if it tries to destroy Israel. It just fired a few missiles for domestic reasons. Now saying we don't want to escalate. Because they don't have the means to go higher on the escalation ladder if Israel keeps on escalating. Iran has limited means to fight a war. Not too long ago, Pakistan called their bluff.

Stop worrying about India. India can take care of itself.

One reason why I relish the Six-Day War so much. And LMAO at poor countries in the region like India. It's coming from a nation that has knocked the IMF's door with a begging bowl a record 24 times.

Would love to see Putin backing Iran here

Israel 'knows what our second retaliation would be', says Iran's UN ambassador

Iran's ambassador to the UN has told Sky News Israel "would know what our second retaliation would be... they understand the next one will be most decisive".

Amir Saeid Iravani was speaking exclusively to our US correspondent James Matthews after an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in New York yesterday.

The day before, his country launched more than 300 drones and missiles into Israel in response to the strike on an Iranian consular building in Syria which has been widely blamed on Israel.

Israel's war cabinet met on Sunday to discuss possible retaliation against Iran, with the country's broadcaster Channel 12 quoting an unnamed official as vowing a "significant response".

Mr Iravani described this promise as "a threat, not an action".

The United Nations has called on Iran and Israel to show restraint, with the threat of a full-scale direct conflict between the pair looming over the Middle East.

Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned the adversaries at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on Sunday not to further escalate tension in the region with further attacks, following mutual air attacks over the past two weeks. However, Iran and Israel concentrated on accusing one another of being a threat to peace.

“Neither the region nor the world can afford more war,” Guterres told the meeting. “Now is the time to defuse and de-escalate.

“It’s time to step back from the brink,” he declared.

Iran launched hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel late on Saturday. The war in Gaza has triggered regular clashes between Iran’s regional allies – such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis – and Israel. The direct attack, a retaliation to a strike – still unclaimed by Israel – on Iran’s embassy compound in Syria on April 1, marked a serious escalation.

At the meeting, Robert Wood, the deputy US ambassador to the UN, called on the 15-member body to unequivocally condemn Iran’s attack. He insisted that the UNSC has an obligation to not let Iran’s actions go unanswered and that the United States will explore additional measures in the coming days to hold Iran accountable.

“Let me be clear: if Iran or its proxies take actions against the United States or further action against Israel, Iran will be held responsible,” he said.

More chance of Iran shooting down its own passenger plane than taking trouble with anyone.
They have avenger absolutely none of their citizens.

They have tried this tactic with multiple countries and have been shown their aukaat , even the Pakistani Establishment handed them a whopping they are that miserable at combat.

Iran has limited war waging capabilities. Their technology isn't great. Most of their conventional weapons are outdated.

Their best fighter jet was imported from US many decades ago.

The Iranian regime has bigged themselves up in the eyes of their countrymen so they do some fireworks to keep them happy. Also they make sure they don't do much damage anywhere.

TBH one on one Pakistani armed forces will be able to whip any army from middle east.

While some middle Eastern countries have advanced weaponry, their personnel have poor capabilities.

Israel has multi-layered shield, fighter jets and partners can collectively neutralize its flagship conventional weapons program.

Israel’s multi-layered air defense system relies on the Arrow 3, which intercepts ballistic missiles in space, Arrow 2, which operates in the upper atmosphere against ballistic missiles, David’s Sling intermediate-range system, which intercepts heavy rockets and short-range ballistic missiles (of the type Iran and Syria have supplied to Hezbollah) as well as cruise missiles and drones, and Iron Dome, which shoots down rockets, cruise missiles and drones.

Israel is expecting its Iron Beam laser interception system, which can shoot down rockets, mortars and UAVs, to become operational soon, and is developing an interceptor (Sky Sonic) for Iran’s future hypersonic missile (Fattah), which is in development.

I would seriously dispute this. Here is my assessment.

Iran has done something to Isreal that nobody has managed to do probably since 73. What is that you ask? It has eliminated their non nuclear deterrence. You see all these years Iran has sat back while Israeli proxies have killed Iranian scientists or generals etc. But now with its sovereignty on the line it did what it had to.

Now let's look at the operation. According to reports they used three types of ballistic missiles and some older shahed drones. But they all got shot down right? Well that is the point. You use cheap slow m9ving drones to overwhelm expensive anti ballistic missile air defences and then you send in the next wave and then the next and then the next. Iran just showed a small part of its capability. They allegedly used some hypersonic missiles that did get through. I have seen videos showing at least seven hits on Isreali targets.

The Americans and the brits had to use aircraft to shoot these drones down and we all know how much bvr weapons cost compared to a drone. What Iran did was essentially send a message to Isreal to stop what's its doing and also a message to the yanks to watch it otherwise their precious bases will get destroyed.

This was a strategic message and they got the message. Next time it will be a more wider ranging response. All the talk of bombing nuke sites is done now. Modern warfare has completely changed and the west is realising this.

In a war they will be overwhelmed. Isreal is done. The IDF is a useless fighting force. Their tanks are sitting ducks and their soldiers are cowards who literally wear diapers. The Americans can't help.them now as we have seen with Biden telling them he won't support them if they attack Iran. They are now trapped in a meat grinder like the crusader kingdom of old. Slowly slowly the noose will tighten.

They have circumvented their weaknesses and are a formidable adversary. They are going toget SU35's and they are going to produce more drones and missiles. Modern warfare has changed but our uncles still think as if it's the 20th century...the Ukraine war has changed everything. Many modern armies are looking obsolete now..its frightening how quickly things have changed.

I wouldn't laugh..hamas made home made tandem rpgs that have ripped through merkavas. Most modern armies have worse tanks. Asymmetric warfare is becoming a regular feature in modern combat armies. E.g Azerbaijan vs Armenia and Russia vs Ukraine. Warfare has changed forever now..

Pakistan bombed them few weeks back and called their bluff.

SU35 is a long way away.

Others have better missiles abd drone capabilities and far better AD capabilities.

Middle eastern countries are divided into two

On one hand there is Iran, obsolete technology but well trained personnel.

OTOH the others have modern technology but poor quality manpower.

These guys won't be able to win against PA, let alone..

Asymmetric warfare doesn't work against a full blown retaliation.

Hamas is learning it the hard way.

While I can understand (sort of) the desire for Indians to paint Iran as some sort of village bumpkin type nincompoops in the military arena, I think you should read between the lines a bit more when consuming media. USA and UK have not only leaped to israel's defence on this occasion, they have also been posturing war games with Iran for the last decade and further back. I read anti-Iran news in the political section of British broadsheets every day, I doubt they would give them so much attention if they were as incompetent as you would like to believe.

I am reading similar comments today, for example Roger Boyes has written about it in his commentary section in the Times. I don't know why indian posters feel so invested in backing israel's supposed military might, what has it got to do with them? By all means support them if you identify with their cause, but do they identify with yours? For them it is a regional issue, clearly not for our indian posters.

Iran-Israel conflict: All UAE flights back to normal

The UAE airlines’ scheduled operations are back to normal after some flights were cancelled, rerouted and rescheduled due to Iran’s attack against Israel.

Flights of Dubai-based Emirates and flydubai, Abu Dhabi-headquartered Etihad Airways and other major global carriers were impacted after airspace was closed by Iran, Israel and Jordan due to the attack. Around a dozen airlines including Qantas, Lufthansa, United Airlines and Air India have had to cancel or reroute flights during the past two days.

Iran attacked Israel with more than 300 missiles and drones after Israel bombed the Iranian embassy in Syria, killing multiple Iranian nationals. But airspace has been reopened by regional countries, allowing airlines to resume their scheduled operations.

“Flydubai flights are operating to schedule following the opening of airspaces in the region. We are in direct contact with our passengers whose travel plans have been affected. Passengers are advised to check flight status on flydubai.com for the latest information regarding their flights,” a flydubai spokesperson said in a statement to Khaleej Times.

Flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv, Amman, Iraq and Iran were impacted over two days.

The UAE airlines said they continue to monitor developments in the region and would prioritise passengers’ safety.

“Etihad Airways flights only operate through approved airspace and safety is always our highest priority. Etihad would never operate a flight unless it was safe to do so, and the airline is continuously monitoring security and airspace updates,” said an Etihad spokesperson.

Dubai’s flagship carrier Emirates cancelled some flights and rerouted others due to temporary airspace closures on Saturday and Sunday.

With the re-opening of these airspaces, Emirates resumed its scheduled operations to and from Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq from the afternoon of April 14.

“We are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with the relevant authorities. Safety is always our top priority,” the airline’s spokesperson said.

Iran did nothing

If you remember in 1991 iraq launched scuds which actually hit israel .

Iran is hand in glove with israel and usa . Warnings were already issued beforehand and there was an understanding their dud fireworks and flying lawnmowers and washing machines won't destroy or kill anything.
