Everyone knew these 2 were extremely competitive and in many ways vary of each other but were mature enough to work together for the betterment of the team, an example which sadly future generations were never able to follow. JM in his autobiography and in many interviews has criticized IK for playing an instrumental role in having him removed from the captaincy in 1993, for not giving him the opportunity to score a triple century and his views on Pakistan Cricket. He even goes far as to mention in his autobiography that there is no point of speaking good english, of having an oxford education if you cannot implement it with character.
The hilarious part about the whole thing is that Miandad never has the guts to confront or say these things to IK on his face. For e.g. there was once a very special episode on GEO Super where they literally invited almost all of Pakistan Cricket legends whoever was alive on a tv show to discuss the problems of Pakistan Cricket and its solutions. Aamir Sohail, Abdul Qadir, Javed Miandad e.t.c were there. IK was invited but they were not anticipating he would attend given his political commitments. JM kept on going on and on criticizing IK vision for Pakistan Cricket, being a proponent of regional cricket and being against dept cricket and then out of the blue in comes IK walking in and everyone is shocked,

, IK then gives his speech and talks about abolishing dept cricket and supporting regional cricket, JM a few minutes later starts buttering up to IK by admiring his cricketing achievements and how he spoke to IK many times in the past about Pakistan Cricket and how he agrees with improving Pakistan Cricket, it was funny to see such a shameless U turn, in fact Aamir Sohail had more guts and stuck to his guns and even confronted IK over his support for regional cricket over departmental cricket.
Now JM has supported IK in his latest jalsa even though he has deep PPP connections, I am just a little confused about JM equation with IK, does he suffer from an inferiority complex against the guy? How can you stand on a political platform with someone after you have made so many serious allegations against him behind his back?
