No idea how you and Savak are such huge Shinwari fans. I mean... it's unbelievable.
On topic:
Like Mamoon and topspin said, Shinwari is Junaid v2, who is pretty much the same as Gul.
He's nowhere near Amir, Hasan, Shaheen.
If there's one thing I don't like about the PSL or 20/20 cricket in general, it is given too much significance when a fast bowlers performances are concerned. I would agree that Shinwari was very expensive this PSL, however, with flat pitches, batsman friendly rules and massive bats - what do you expect?
Why is a T20 league given more authority when it comes to judging Shinwari, instead of international cricket, a form of cricket where Shinwari has actually shown his worth! He has been brilliant in ODIs throughout the year and looked the most troubling bowler in the Asia cup too. Even in the games vs India, he produced many chances that went begging and bowled several maidens, creating pressure - pressure that was allowed to be lost due to poor bowling by Amir and Hasan on the other end.
Even today, his bowling was spectacular and looked a class apart from the rest of the pacers. Look at his economy, look at how he bowled maidens and who's wicket he got. He has shown the knack to pick wickets and if Pakistan is to lose a potential match-winning bowler like Shinwari owing to his returns in the PSL and T20 cricket, then the PSL is doing more harm to Pakistan cricket than good. We're talking about a league where Wahan Riaz and Sohail Tanvir lead the wicket charts!
If you're going to judge Shinwari for his performances in Twenty20 leagues, then head over to the BBL where his side did not drop him for a single game! He performed brilliantly and won his team several matches versus superior batsman in bigger stadiums and tougher conditions for bowling.
Mickey is a smart coach and hopefully, Shinwari is here to stay, at least from his performances today, I would hope so. Hasan, Shaheen, Shinwari and Hasnain would add a lot of power to our attack.
