Fast Bowler Khurram Shahzad complained of discomfort in his left side during the First Test.

Following his complaint, after the Test Match Khurram was sent for an MRI scan.

Further details will be shared in due course, after medical panel assess the MRI reports.

Are these bowlers made off glass or something.
Fitness issues and injuries plague our players

This is not good news for the Pakistan team. He didn't bowl much in the first test but whatever he has bowled, he bowled well for a debutant. First, it was Abrar, and now Khurram.

Feels as thought almost everyone in the squad is not fit to play Test Cricket.

But this guy was picked BECAUSE he had been playing red-ball cricket.

One wonders what sort of red-ball cricket have they been playing or were they carrying injuries before the tour?

Maybe about time PCB looks into the medical and physio team that's been with the team for many a years now

There is a video doing the rounds where Junaid Khan said that this guy's action has issues and it will lead his pace to decrease if even slightly overworked, or worse still get him injured.
We saw the pace drop in the second day and innings and now this!

Can’t believe they made him continue bowling if he had an injury instead of getting it checked out right then during the test match. Now he’s going for an mri several days later?

We learnt nothing from the naseem shah debacle.

Hope the injury is minor and he fully recovers quickly. Can be an asset for Pakistan test cricket for years to come.

He can move the ball so has a brain, that's a good start. He needs to build his body and add pace.

I feel like we should carry 22-man squads every time we tour Australia. Every player always seems on the verge of being injured.

Before Khurram's debut, I mentioned that the last bit of movement he makes to the left after his jump will be detrimental for him long-term.

Despite it being a beautiful action, the uneven energy transfer puts too much stress on his body. In comparison, Steyn's energy transfer (using a similar action) was always moving forward. This allowed him to maintain his speed and consistency.

Khurram has just played 1 international game and his body could not survive that pressure. That is a joke of fitness if you cannot handle such pressure. He was playing red-ball games in Pakistan. I wonder why he didn't get injured there?

He's a massive age fudger. No chance of him having a long career like @Mamoon said.

According to his PCB profile , he played his first inter district U-19 match in 2012 at the official age of "12" against a team which had officially 18 year old Hasan Ali.

This guy is around the same age as Hasan Ali. Which means he is close to 30.

PCB to invest in someone who is a lot younger (verified age)

I actually really liked the way he was bowling, especially with the new ball, but he broke down on debut. Bad sign.

His debut match became his last match of the tour. How unfortunate for him. He might have done well than other bowlers on this tour but the fitness these players possess is very bad.

Easily 30plus.

Fitness levels poor although an honest tryer.

Pushed himself hard in Perth but his body couldn't take it.

Considering his body language, I'm not contemplating him for a long racehorse. He lacks pace, literally bowling at 130 kph. This is not what modern day cricket demands.

Khurram Shahzad's bowling action is very much similar to Dale Steyn, he just needs to pick up some pace.

Khurram Shahzad has commenced rehabilitation under the supervision of the medical panel at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

Khurram Shahzad will be part of Pakistan playing XI against Bangladesh in the 1st Test starting from Wednesday. Will he be able to replicate the red hot form of Australia's tour too here?
