Most of the pmln people here are criticising pti government for the loan to be taken from world ban for different development projects in kp.
They say that pti is no different but pti says that this loan is different from imf and revenue created will help us to pay back the money..plz discuss sand let me know that what is the difference here and is it good??

Federal govt is holding KP payments and not releasing it so there is no choice left they have to fund their on going projects.

As a general rule, Borrowing is a means to steal from the masses. Unless a very tangible capital project with long term benefits e.g dam is the reason, then the money will disappear into white elephants and Swiss Bank Accounts.

so kpk government did a blunder??

Without knowing the details, i dont know but if you look at the money borrowed by the PK govt( running into 100`s of billions of dollars), i would say that 80% of the money has been siphoned off by Politicians, army, bureaucrats etc.

If it's properly invested, and they've done their home work, this could well push KPK forward by light years. Will be a massive slap in the face of Punjab& Sindh/PMLN and PPP.

Nothing wrong with that if you put it to good use which means you will be able to pay back in future. imran does not put these funds in his own pocket like sharif and zardari.

Imran Khan exposed again.

yes a man who has given up his family for the country and has no corruption charges on him and has managed to deliver justice to thieves like nawaz has been exposed. bravo!

This is actually an old news the agreement happened back in Dec-Jan and the first installment was expected to arrive in July this year. KP govt convinced World Bank to fund 3 of their major hydro projects. The projects include Gabral-Kalam Hydro Power Project (HPP) in Swat which will add 110 megawatts to the grid. The project is estimated to cost $413 million. It also includes Barikot Patrak hydropower project in Upper Dir which is 47 megawatts with a cost of $148 million. Shringal-Patrak hydropower project is the third project which will add 22megawatts and is estimated to cost $83 million.

This is actually a very good step KP got enough resources to generate more hydropower so they are investing more and more in hydropower from micro to large level because that's one the cheapest source of energy and once these projects are completed they will start generating money for KP province because this power will be added to center and the KP will earn more profit after it's distributed. KP govt is already making a profit of around 17 billion rupees per year thanks to hydropower (although payments are always delayed because they in opposition)

Around 65 billion rupees of it is going in these 3 projects so there isn't much left to utilize in big projects like mass transit. Islamabad isn't approving KP projects and is delaying the funds that comes through NFC award so there is not much choices left because KP is allocating big part of their budget to Education/Health. 136b for education and 66b for health this year that makes it more thn $200b out of $603 total budget that means 33% of whole budget. Now compare it to Punjab where a total of 466b are allocated to education+health out of a 1.96trillion budget that makes it 23% of whole budget.

Wow Insafians are so open to thoughts and opinions other than their own. I shudder to think what will happen to freedom of expression if Imran ever becomes PM.

Why are you so interested in what's happening in Pakistan? last i checked we don't even share borders...

You should invest more energy criticizing Haseena's policies and the way she is targeting opposition leaders of past...

Depends what this loan has been taken for. Considering Imran's stance against corruption and how he has shown how institutions he has founded manage the money I think it will be good for KPK and pakistan in general.

You did not express any valid opinion or thought. The reaction you are getting is completely called for. If you can dish it then be man enough to take it too.
