Rauf is too raw to play PSL. He only started hard ball cricket a month ago. They already have two young bowlers ahead of him. Yasir was a sham, a publicity stunt. I feel sorry for the guy because it's not even his fault.

Don't know how realistic it is that Mudassar and Shaheen will both start, but would prefer to see them over Sohail and Bhatti. There's enough games to rotate the bowlers as well. Think Raza is a better t20 bowler than Yasir. Batting line up can be mixed around. Hope Fakhar does open, but think Bmac will want Lynn and Narine up top.

Strong in the spin department and also a very strong and powerful batting line up that can post 200 scores. There seam bowling attack is inexperienced, so they need to be prepared for the times where they will be expensive and targeted by batsmen.

Overall it's a strong team but they have had strong teams in the previous 2 editions and finished bottom. Surely that will change this year.

Sohail Akhtar made debut as a T20 player for Abbotabad Falcons in 2012.

Rofl Sohail Akhtar batting position initially was no. 7, then was demoted to no.9 from where he hit a 61 to help his side cross to respectable 200+. His batting position oscillated throughout the tournament from from no. 7 to no.10. And he scored quick 50s batting at no.8 and no.9. In last match v Rawalpindi last week he made 51 off 24 hitting 5 6s.

The under achievers - last year actually indicates why Fleming should be rated higher than Mac. I think, they have learned lot in last 2 years and their owner is a true passionate fan of the brand - he should get his reward at some point. Biggest problem for them is Mac is costing one Foreign quota - Lynn, Narine, Deleport & Mustafiz should be in XI, but not sure whom will be dropped - probably Mustafiz, because local bowling resources is better than batting resources.

PAK Squad needs a 2nd WK, who makes the team on batting merit - none can be better than UA.

It's about the balance. I know he is not a professional keeper, but for the balance of the team, LQ needed a keeper who bats top5. And whatever anyone think of him, there is no better local option. If he bats at3, scores decently and quickly, and somehow magically improve his keeping to a satisfactory level, I think that's best.

Trouble with LQ is that although at the draft they made some good selections, their squad is imbalanced. Have only 4/5 proper batsmen, then a load of all rounders and bowlers. They will be heavily reliant on their top 4 and if they get out cheaply, LQ will always be in danger of a low score.
Most likely their overseas players would be Baz, Lynn, Narine and The Fizz. However, as they have no middle order batsmen, they need to play Angelo Mathews or Cameron Delport to balance the squad. In any case, I don’t see the Fizz getting much games.
Lahore will probably get to the last 4, but winning the tournament would be very difficult

Lynn was a certanity, so that takes 4. For 5 and 6, I was hoping for a foreign all-rounder like Watson or Bravo and 6 was going to be Faheem Ashraf ideally. Getting Bravo and Watson was tough as they were both platanium and Faheem Ashraf was impossible too as Lahore had the fifth pick in that round. And we get Shaeen Afridi in emerging so he completes are 7 to 11. The gap was still at 5 and 6.
After Bravo and Watson, what was the best effing option at 5? Angelo Mathews, and we had a 5. Can't complain really. Now one spot left. And this is tricky. Have to trust LQ on this one. For the balance of the team, Sohail Akthar. I know, he hasn't played much and is 32 but can hit a long ball and will hopefully give some good overs.

In conclusion, not a bad draft at all. If you look at batting, you have perhaps the best top 5 in the league. Bowling, 8 overs of Narine and Shah, and then there is Sohail Khan, leading wicket taker and Shaeen Afridi, everyone raves over him so he must be good. And the best fielding unit in the league. Things look good. Hopefully, no injuries.
