Listing reasons for Pakistan's defeat in 2nd ODI vs England

It's a team game. Babar inning was perfect until he got out.
Read my last post again, Babar can be criticised for not going further last innings.

I guess the likes of you deserve Malik's and hafeezs and akmals

Babar going long would have created more trouble we would have scored not more than 330 then...as babar doesn't have ability to go from 50(51) to score 92 (69). Babar getting out was good for us .I wanted him to get out early ..What I wanted from babar was not 100 but same 50 runs from 32-34 balls when Fakhar was going brilliantly... When you are playing for a team and esp when you are a no 1 batsman you help out your partner and help the team chasing big score you consume less deliveries to score big..

When we chase 280, babar plays with a strike rate of 80-85 when we need him to play with a strike rate of 90-95
When we chase 330, babar plays with a strike rate 85-90 when we want him to touch a SR of 100
And when we chase 350 , Babar forgets to hit boundaries and play with 80-90 strike rate and end his innings with a SR of 100 when the requirement from him is much better..

Then he says he is no 1,he doesn't need power hitting, and his fans blindly back him and whoever questions his intentions and his style of play gets attacked..that's what wrong

Had Pakistan lost multiple wickets in the initial powerplays then the same people crying over SR would come out with lines like - Pakistani batsmen do not know how to build an innings.

Like I said, there is no pleasing some fans.

I never say that. I want right intention from players to win matches and not to rely on only one player like Fakhar and Sharjeel when chasing big. England doesn't rely only on roy and bairstow, India doesn't rely only on Rohit Sharma, Aus doesn't rely only on Warner..

We never appreciate what's fakhar doing for us.. we don't deserve a match winner like him .our fans actually deserve the likes of babar and imam who maintain their avgs and go home and fans think they have done some accomplishment.

Fakhar going with a SR of 140+ was mad.. he had to take too much risk after every 2-3 deliveries and that should not have happened.. other players should have upped their SR but Fakhar survived and managed to score 138 on 106 yet fans say he just did what we needed..no one said he covered up mediocrity of Babar and Imam to keep us in the game if Fakhar played with a SR of even 120 ,game would have been finished inside 20-25 overs.

You have asked me this sort of question before .

I don't like Akmal or even Malik but judging their overall record in England which also includes their visits of England from pre-2013 era when conditions used to be not as friendly for the batsmen as they are now for the bats, is wrong. Par score in England or anywhere in the world have always been between 240-260 so batsmen bound to had inferior batting numbers then but this is a different era. Hafeez' record in last 3-4years has been outstanding (that includes, avg,SR,and six hitting ratio). So you need to understand this thing..

I surely don't want Imam in the team he is useless,selfish and doesn't have the ability to play modern cricket if he wants to because he doesnt have shots.
Babar ,though ,is a good player, but not a world class or best Pakistani batsman. Fakhar is our best batsman and Hafeez is more impactful than babar in big matches.
I always wanted babar to improve and become a great player but now have realized that he is satisfied with his performances esp avg and there are no signs of improvement . Same problems still exist. You never see him perform in big matches,pressure situation or dominate opponents like other top players do and you still want me to admit that he is worldclass/No 1 batsman in the world,best in Pakistan..? why should I do that when reality is different.

Saud Shakeel has surpassed babar in domestic but againt never gets mentioned or selected or gets support which has got .

So how exactly is he the best batsman in the country ? Totally different player to fakhar. Fakhar will not be as consistent, but will win a game on his day.
Babar on the other hand has to hold the innings together, for other guys to do the heavy lifting
You need to go back pre Babar and also the times when Babar fails to see how many times Pak have got a sub par score or been bowled out in 50 overs. And it's a direct correlation to Babar failing/ pre Babar.
Don't misconstrue this to take it that I am saying he is the best in the world.
But he definitely is value to this Pakistan team.

In terms of the other players, I like saud and he will get his go post world cup. His game is similar to Babars though, so you will be on his case when you've seen him a few times
Haris is also quality but his fitness lets him down. He will miss many singles and doubles and can't push the fielders like our other bats
