IPL titles with Mumbai Indians and now he's won The Hundred with Southern Brave.
He's quietly building up quite a CV as Head Coach.
Surely one of the most highly-rated coaches in the game at the moment?
He was a very good captain as well. More often than not, good captains will make good coaches.
BCCI should be looking at him as Shastri’s replacement, he should not be wasting his time with talentless teams like Sri Lanka & Pakistan.
Mumbai Indians officially pays him only 350K $ as coach, highest paid salary for coaching in IPL is ~600K $
Very less compared to some fringe players!
If Pakistan want an overseas coach?
Worth a go, if he's interested?
Pakistan are much better off trying to chuck money at Andy Flower and roping him in. He's experienced, has participated in the PSL via coaching MS (so he understands the domestic system), and he would probably accept a short 2-year contract.
Same issue I guess. Flower has league contracts in the bag too.

Mumbai Indians have half a dozen coaches atleast....not sure how much credit can Jayawardene take for IPL win
In an interview, he mentioned he is not interesting in coaching an international team as that will involve a lot of travelling, living out of a suitcase and being away from family which he does not want right now given that his family is very young.
Plus the PCB's Salary of $250,000 per annum is not attractive. The PCB has to bump it up to $600,000-750,000 per annum to attract top tier candidates.
