Mark my words, the 2019 World Cup will be the greatest World Cup in the last 20 years

Mark my words in the next match can England:

Roy will take 30 runs of Mortaza
Mortaza will leak 100 runs in 6 overs.
England will win by 200 runs minimum.

Tamim will score 20 of 50 balls.
 
Terrific world cup. Has lived up to the hype so far. Varied pitches, close contests. Every match , barring those with Lanka and Afghanistan, has been entertaining.
 
SL beating Eng.

Afg putting Ind to the sword only for Shami to win his country the match and save their reputation with a hattrick.

And now WI batsmen going wild on NZ.

What an epic WC. No team is safe.

The weather is going to hold up from here god willing. My only criticisim is that I would like selected games on FTA, it would add a lot more fire. The action has been great though.
 
2019 World Cup. Best one of the last 20 years

Easily the best World Cup of the last 20 years. Close games, great varied pitches, upsets, great knocks and bowling performances. Apart from the rain, this has been a brilliant tournament and we’re not even near the semis yet!
 
Yes, the only thing that's spoiled this WC are the washouts.

But the completed games have provided so much entertainment and a fair few close finishes.
 
Too bad rain ruined some matches but this is turning out to be an exciting world cup. Much better than all the t20 leagues combined. :inti
 
By far. Its been great.
Its hurting how PAK has played so far but this WC is really good. I watched the last 15 overs of todays 2nd game because it was such a cracker!
 
It is on par with 2011 for now, but certainly much better than 2003, 2007 and 2015.

Man what a great couple of days for cricket fans.
 
This format of all teams playing everybody makes it interesting

Agreed though - pitches are varied , coverage is good and teams are entertaining

My only regret is that Pak and Sri Lanka are weak as compared to prior editions . Else it would have been amazing . Rather than fight for no 4 , it would have been a fight for 2-6

The charm of England hosting is every team gets support as the country is so diverse.

If only we started the tournament now as the weather's perked up instead of early June when the country was rain sodden.
 
It has exposed the bottom six teams mid-way through the tournament, on that front this World Cup has been a great spectacle. Has brought the cream to the top very early and there's no chance for minnows to sneak through unlike previous years with the group format.

EXACTLY, this shows real skill and how good teams really are. All people do on this forum do is complain just shut up!! could we please close the forums saying about HOw BaddDD THis WorLdd CUPpp WaSS I wAIItEd FoUR YeArs JUSt FoR THisSSS.
 
There have been 4 competitive games so far....which is probably better than most WCs so yeah.
 
Despite these great games, the tables have stayed the same. (Barring the ENG/SL game) WI and AFG have given NZ and India good fights but the top 4 still look to be cemented so I still think we need some actual upsets for this to be the greatest world cup ever.
 
Well we are getting a new WC winner so definitely it is among the best.
 
I think the ICC could have done a better job of the marketing. A lot of people in UK still don't know the World Cup is even on.
 
The only thing that can redeem this world cup is a fairytale NZ victory.

The overall standard of cricket has been poor. England and India have been a cut above for the most part.

Marketing wise ICC is as bad a government body / organization can get for a sports.

Absolutely. They are absolutely rubbish in terms of marketing.

Infact, ICC's biggest ever mistake was to not push for cricket in the Olympics. If that was done there would have been much more people who were familiar with the sport and many associate cricket nations who are economically well off would invest their money on their cricket for Olympics glory.
 
One of the best for sure.

I’d say after 1992, 1987 and 1999 this was 4th.
 
I have seen every world cup since 1987. This is definitely the best one in my opinion. Very high quality cricket, scores have not been too high and lots of thrilling games.
 
The world cup wasn’t bad (few washouts was a real damper) - all Pak games were interesting baring the India one.

Better than 2007 and 2015 for sure.
 
Best WC ever and we will never watch a better final in our lifetime.

It was a great final and a good World Cup all in all. The four best teams made it to the semifinals. England and New Zealand deserved to be the finalists. New Zealand were unlucky to lose in the end but have to give all credit to Stokes.
 
The final can't get better than this, it was the best sadly none of the teams that I supported won.
 
It was the best World Cup I've ever seen. We witnessed so many close games and a terrific final puts it at the top.
 
The final alone puts it in that category.
Not to mention the several close games and the first semi.Amazing worldcup.

Gutted for the Kiwis though.They deserved the title.
 
And people were against the league format and exclusion of minnows. World cup should be an exclusive club for the champion teams.
 
This is the best World Cup I have ever seen (despite a few washouts). Brilliant tournament; all teams were competitive.
 
A tale of 2 world cups.

First half rain and high scoring 1-sided matches with belting batting pitches.

2nd half low scoring thrillers, with great tense matches.

Ending with an epic spectacular Final
