Matchfixers thread

We started with a draw at home and Ferdinand was the rock.in defense again.Midfield may need to be freshened up a bit!What do you think about 4-2-3-1/ 4-1-3-2/4-1-4-1? Is it worth getting an extra midfielder instead of a striker in order to be more tighter and more control on possession?
 
Problem is last time we went with an extra midfielder we didn't create any chances up front. Barzagli was a bit disappointing but should get a couple more chances.

I'm going away on holidays for 10 days so will need you to take control of the team. I might not be very active. Do keep updating this thread and will try and visit when I can.
 
I would persist with a similar team and formation for a couple more games at least. Give the boys a chance to settle with the new faces.
 
By the way congrats mate on being awarded the all rounder of the cricket season. :ik

I am thinking of the same personal with a positional change.Silva out to right and Dembele as AM.
 
Alberto I leave the team in your capable hands. Might as well try Dembele as an AM. Please post the team on time.

Thanks for the compliment but this team is all down due to Genghis.I have just tried to improve it!
 
Went for Custom Formation in league game with Caulker in CB , Carroll as target Man and Dembele as AM!
 
Hopefully we can concentrate more on league now that we out of the cup. Need to get back to winning ways.
 
I think we may have to change formation now that Tevez, Khedira, Asamoah and Walcott are out!
 
Just had a look in the midfielders thread and I noticed we may not be playing Johnson in his preferred position of AM(L).Our midfielders will be crucial in next game as we only have 2 fit strikers who are both target men.

2 draws since the break in the league!!!!! Lost Bale though for 2-3 weeks!
 
In EBC 18, I went for 4-4-1-1 as we only had 2 fit strikers in Carroll and Adebayor.They are both target men and the sim often takes off at least 1 striker so I kept Adebayor on the bench!
 
For EBC 19, I have decided to go more offensive and expansive.Hope for a goal feast!
 
Another draw in round 19.Next up is the Zizou cup which is our chance of silverware as we have fell off the boil in the league. No Bale or Silva for the first game.

As the strikers have not been scoring, I will play Walcott! Fortunate to escape with a draw as we got outplayed in all regards but I went attacking to get 3 points!

We have not lost a game in the league but we have drawn the last 2. As you know, we are eliminated from the CDF but the good news is we won our Zizou cup 1st round game against Los Blancos 3-1. Milner has scored in his last 2 games playing as RM and CM. Caulker has been immense in defense and scored his first goal. Walcott played in ST and scored on his debut.He made an instant impact.Bad news is Silva and Bale are out with injuries so we can't play with wingers. So in your absence we lost only 1 CDF game and were unbeaten in the league and won Zizou cup! Went in with a 4-1-3-2 formation in Zizou cup!We probably have too go narrow as our main width players are injured!

I am thinking of going with the same formation that I used last game. What do you think? Or should I go adventurous with 3-4-3?
 
Ok I see you've already posted the team. Any reason Tevez and Muslera are benched?
 
Because I played with Cesar in net for the Cup game.I think Tevez is playing!This is the team for EBC 20.

Great! We finally got a win which will see us on an unbeaten streak to the end of the season! Looks like Silva picked up a knock and was replaced by Dembele who had an excellent performance as he had a rating of 8.5.I would play Sagna as RB.No other striker but Tevez is scoring so I would recommend playing Walcott in ST and Milner/Johnson as RWM. Walcott's preferred position is ST.
 
I think we should try and use the squad rotation where possible but stick with the custom strategy with some core players that play always. I'd always have Tevez, Silva, Ferdinand and Caulker.

Play the guys who have a 7.5+ rating like Alex Song in the last game.In my opinion, Adebayor and Carroll should be rested for Walcott as they have not scored enough goals and are out of form.

Genghis, what do you think about the way we should line up for Zizou cup? Should we go tactical like 4-2-3-1?After all,this is a cup competition and our only realistic chance of silverware.

Currently, our strikers are not scoring so this formation may not be feasible! Our custom formation is a mirror image of RM's 4-4-2 diamond so we will be matching them man for man in that regard.Or you may think of cautious and go for a draw with a 4-5-1.Maybe go tactical with a 4-2-3-1(deep) as no one has beaten RM.Or go offensive like last time(3-4-3 diamond) but we had no choice as our best FB Sagna was out.The decision is all yours!!!!!!You will make the right one!Go with your instinct and back it!I have full faith in you!BTW,Bale and Carroll scored last time.Here was the team's performance:http://postimg.org/image/i9uw9s6hr/full/

Thanks mate! We've got nothing to lose so I'm thinking of going with a similar formation and team to the last time. RM are so far ahead we need to attack and beat them to be any chance still in this league.

The problem is only 1 defender has scored and our midfield has not contributed much to the goals tally.
 
I'm looking at Dembele and Walcott stats. Dembele does not have ST as his preferred position. He is more a midfielder. Guess I could try Walcott up front with Tevez. No target man in that case.

Yeah it is a big loss especially as we were just hitting some good form. Hope the others can step up.
 
Our defence is holding up very well recently so I am hoping for another clean sheet.We have got strength in Central midfield/DM as we have got Asamoah, Dembele, Song and Khedira!
 
Great win for us and this time both Carroll and Adebayor scored. Heading in the right direction now with a team full of confidence!
 
4-1 victory against probably the 4th best team in the league is an amazing achievement!Got momentum to finish in the top 2 now.Biryani Royals drew which is a great result! I want to see who got Man of the Match and average performances which are not up there.

Looks like we were both vindicated.Effective double teaming out there!!!!!!Bale is out for 4-5 weeks so I think we should retain the core of the team!!!!!
 
Walcott will be our weapon from the right even though his prefered position is ST/AMR. Caulker has been the best pick up from the free transfers in Mid season window.He has been a defensive rock!Let's prepare for the Zizou cup where we should be flexible in team selection and formation!
 
Agree completely about Caulker. He's been a great find. Ansaldi and Walcott also showing good promise.

This is the team I played last Zizou cup game and won 3-1!
 
Should we keep Johnson on LWM?Or play Asamoah/Dembele there?Where else can Silva play?
