MCC World Cricket committee to meet in Mumbai on December 6-7, 2016

A meeting of the MCC World Cricket committee will be held at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 December 2016.

Among the main items on the agenda are:

• The balance between bat and ball – a development of previous discussions to include specific proposals for the regulation of bat sizes.
• A review of the game-wide consultation and trials on player behaviour, to be followed by a debate to consider the inclusion of on-field disciplinary measures in the Laws of Cricket.
• The structure of international cricket – to include discussion on context, a Test championship and the possibility of four-day Test matches.
• Cricket in the Olympic Games.
