Well deserved and not many people would begrudge the award winners for this.

While I really like Sarfaraz but isnt it too early for him for this award, rest off the three are retired however Sarfaraz is still a currently active player. They could have waited for few years may be. But, yes he definitely have won the CT 17 as captain but still a lot to achieve. :angelo

I've never been a fan of sports people getting this type of recognition, what about the doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers, road sweepers, charity workers etc who have done even more for the country on a daily basis?

But it happens all over the world, so if it must be done, why include Sarfraz? If he had won a world cup fair enough, if he had been as influential a test captain as MIsbah, fair enough but he led the country to their first ever loss in the UAE against a poor team and won the CT on the back of stellar team performances, not top level captaincy.

Ma sha Allah, congratulations. It seems strange to see Sarfraz Ahmed’s name with those 3 big names, but we should not forget that he also captained the u19s to WC victory, so with the big CT in addition he deserves this:)

It’s not cricket awards so no need to go in details and stats of what sarfaraz has done or has not done he’s more likely getting this award for beating India in final of CT

The more suitable reward would be pride of performance I think. POP is meant for this sort of stuff; exemplary performance in a particular field. This is the award meant for cricketers, actors, other sportsperson etc.

Sitara e Imtiaz is meant more for exemplary services and sacrifices made for the nation. Meant more for I believe diplomats, soldiers.and firefighters.

Regardless Congratulations to them.

The harsh truth about the world is that not every profession is the same.. Professions which keep you in public eye and in a way represent your country (in case of sports) will naturally get such awards.. The worse international pakistani cricket has more chances of getting such an award than the best pakistani sweeper, ambulance driver.. And it’s not just in Pakistan but I guess most of the world..

On topic congrats to the players..

Sure, they probably defeated India in CT for Gully danda.

I think its look too cheap if players like Misbah, Sarfraz and Afridi got this award. Younis Khan deserve this based on his test performance only!!!

Sarfaraz Ahmed a guy with absolutely 0 cricketing accomplishments gets it based on a CT win :))

I guess a win against India to break the streak and next stop- Prime ministership :))

Afridi- debatable but I think along with a decent limited overs career he has a huge fan base among a certain ethnicity and also does a lot of charity work, so from a political standpoint makes sense.

The other 2 well deserved.

I agree with YK getting it.
Sarfraz--------its too early for him, has not done enough, yet.
Misbah---------no way he deserves that.

And captain with the most wins.I’m not a big fan of Misbah but you have to see past the hate.

Living overseas my approach regarding Pakistan is simple, country comes first not personalities. I used to like Nawas Sharif and Misbah , both . But due to my Pakistan first approach, I now hate NS for being so corrupt and Misbah for being too selfish .

There was no CT streak. Pakistan - India are tied 3-3 in the CT, no?

Why Sarfaraz lmao? The guy is a non entity as of now even if you count the CT win.
Misbah and Younis deserve it, both great servants of Pak cricket.
