Feel for Australian bowlers... Anyone???
Phainty for the best spinner in the world.
How is that possible, he's in the pavilion right now![]()
It's because of pitches like these test cricket is dying. Who wants to see batsman pile up runs in the crazy heat![]()
Cummins is a hit-the-deck bowler, and UAE wickets are graveyards for this style of bowling. Pakistan would have feasted on his half trackers. Not saying Siddle is a massive upgrade on Cummins, but with Holland being so inexperienced they needed a workhorse at the other end to keep Starc fresh.
So were Ranchi and Bangladeshi pitches graveyards for his type of bowling. But he still got wickets and maintained a tight line there. Hafeez would have struggled against his bounce. Cummins has been the most successful fast bowler in subcontinent tours since 2015. Cummins is a workhorse bowler, he bowls many overs that is his role, and starc is the strike bowler.
Siddle has been pretty good so far, this test he will play a big role. he is a good replacement for hazlewood and cummins.
Oh it's fine in India though right?
Could somebody please tell me who is showing the match in the UK? Thanks.
Cummins is injured anyway.
Those pitches have a bit in them, in terms of bounce. UAE wickets have much lower bounce in comparison and banging the ball in short, which is Cummins' strength, is futile here. There is a reason Starc also has good numbers in India/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh and average returns in the UAE. Cummins won't last even the first test if he's used as a workhorse. So were Ranchi and Bangladeshi pitches graveyards for his type of bowling. 729. Star Gold.

Australia is missing Hazlewood way more than Cummins.
He's much better than Sami Aslam. I can't believe we had someone so mediocre represent Pakistan on important away toursImam has shown that once set he knows how to go big. Very important trait for a test match player. Once he gets his 1st century , I can see him getting a few .
Fantastic prospect in tests.

Holland being milked with ease. Okefe should have been selected instead.
Didn't he harass a woman cricketer a little while ago? I don't think he is ever being selected again.
Fair enough, when you bring up his stats in Asia with regards to Starc and Hazlewood. However, I’m strictly going by his modus operandai which is banging the ball in short and letting the pitch do the talking. Personally don’t think Cummins would have been much of a factor here in the UAE, but we won’t know until he aftually bowls here on these dead wickets. One thing in his favor is the raw pace he generates, and maybe bowling stump to stump with that pace might have benefitted him on Asian wickets so far.As i said. Ranchi in india is a road. The pitches in the two tests in bangladesh had no bounce in at all, they were even more dry and bigger rank turners than the ones in india. hazlewood did not get a single wicket in bangladesh. But Cummins got wickets and constantly threatened the batsmen in both india and bangladesh
Mitch Starc has been poor in both his tours to india. Cummins outbowled starc in india by quite a margini
Starc only performed in one series in sri lanka otherwise has 10 wickets in 5 matches in subcontinent
Dont know why everyone thinks hazlewood is so good. Hazlewood has very poor stats in subcontinent. Hazlewood got 12 wickets in 4 matches in South Africa at avg of 40 despite bowling on seaming wickets.
Cummins can bowl 40 overs in an innings, he lasts long periods. He has outbolwed starc and hazlewood in every series since his comeback.
Looks like humiliation for Australia.
Absolutely!
Only one team can beat Pakistan in the UAE![]()

I highly doubt Cummins can handle a workload of 40 overs. He breaks down too often for my liking. Bowling with that much stress on your body in this UAE heat is not a matter to be taken lightly.
Hafeez will be a walking wicket in South Africa. He doesn't look very convincing even here against Starc.Where are the fools criticising the selection now???
Starc pretty unlucky.
They'll be silly enough to get Hafeez to open vs South Africa now.
Hopefully not. At 6 with Azhar opening
