It hasn't been a great start for him....But the question is, will he continue being picked by Inzi after the PSL ?

We need him to open in our next round of away Tests

Not a fan of Hafeez but I would wait until the end of the PSL to judge the top performers from the rest.

Of course - I would give more weightage to the performances in the playoff/knockout stages.

No doubt he is really bad but he is mentally shot now too

IK has been calling him bits and pieces ever since he was asked to open in tests.. And he was opening till the ENGLISH summer.. MISBAH his mind , friends in his team and captaincy

KAMI had an excellent beginning to PSL2 but he was dropped as opener and asked to bat at no.3 which is crazy, but HAFEEZ actually played at no.3 in LOIs ever since he was STEYN's bunny then why not drop hafeez to no.3 if u insist on playing HAFEEZ on all games.....

i can make only two things out of this.
1. Hafeez being ultra-adamant to give up his opening slot to anyone
2. HAFEEZ - AFRIDI - M.AKRAM - MYK - JAVED - SAMMY friendship is too strong to break for KAMI with his batting performance...

HAFEEZ will go down as one of the most selfish players in the history who was adamant to open when he is technically very weak in batting, adding his slip fielding... more drops over 1 or 2 good catches

This.

He is well exposed on intl level, but our selectors keep going back to him. Now failing in leagues too.

I've never seen anyone as vulnerable and weak in the slip cordon or against the moving ball. Treat to watch apart from that.

He if finished at international level. His performances in the PSL are showing even domestic cricket is a struggle for him.

give him a flat track and a mediocre attack and he will score some pretty attractive runs. anything else, he will continue to do what he is doing.

should be dropped and some youngster should be given a chance but he will keep playing because he is a useful bowler who is good against left-handers.

it was reported in the media that the management wanted him in the team for the Australia series, it is well known that Azhar Ali and Hafeez are best friends, it is clear that it was just a favor by Azhar

None of the names you mentioned are in fault here - only person to blame is PCB's Cheif Selector & partially Chairman, as he approves the squad.

Inzi have openly said that he give utmost importance to captain and coach's decision

all those names were involved with PZ team and im talking about PZ team and PSL , does the chairman and PCB chief selector approves the PZ squad... if you dont follow PSL, then dont just blindly comment watching IND vs BAN

Why don't our cricketers realize it is their time to go. After this PSL Muhammad Hafeez should announce his immediate retirement from all forms of the game and yes that includes PSL as well (we don't want a situation where he is playing PSL 5 years after retiring from T20s)

Hafeez could actually be a very good asset for Pakistan cricket in the NCA or as a part of the PCT as a strategist.

My mistake, but for PZ, MoHa actually makes the team - he is a master of cashing when sun shines. He'll hang around for his bowling & then make his mark in one or two matches.

When is Tamim joining the side?

He was one of the reasons PZ was so lethal last time round, and they lost their edge after he left last season.

That should be the norm to a certain extent - but it can't be like what he selected for ANZ tours.

He can be coach just like YK or Abdul Razzaq. Or a commentator. Someone will have to replace Rambo and Waqar.

Don't know, probably next week. Sakib also is part of PZ

T20s are not his cup of tea.

Should solely stick to ODIs but even then, only one of Malik/Hafeez can play at a time.

I'm afraid it's looking gloomy for Hafeez.

I used to be a fan but now I'm really starting to dislike this guy. He is a TTF and shouldn't even be allowed to play domestic cricket. He is that bad.

Hafeez, Misbah, Younis, Afridi all should be forced to retire. I do not think these guys have any self respect and dignity to retire on their own.

Because they have no other ways to make money besides playing cricket.

A superb 16 by Hafeez today, takes his average for the season to 4.75... can't keep him down forever. :hafeez

Like him or not , he will be in the team particularly if Sharjeel gets booted out. Inzi will personally request him to stay for his valuable experience

I hate this senior culture. Haris Sohail is benched after 2 games (in the last one he calmly guided team home) however senior Hafeez can fail match after match yet no accountability.

He himself has admitted that he needs to make bigger scores with bat. Full points for honesty.

MoHa to take few wickets today - that'll book his WI ticket.

He also has to settle scores with Dale Steyn, He has to score overseas, He has to score against top teams and do alot other things.

Prof is having a nightmare at the PSL.

Seems to be doing his fair share of sightseeing though.

its going to say a lot about Pakistan cricket if he is selected for the WI series

a truly gifted individual in his ability to fool people to think he actually brings value

0, 0, 3, 16, 10, 13 - that's a progression of average 0.00, 0.00, 1.00, 4.75, 5.80, 7.00

Time for him to retire... clearly not cut out for International cricket anymore..

His poor form extends to PSL 2016 edition as well... he was atrocious besides one 50 he made

An amazing innings today, 22 off 33 balls. Took the shine off the new ball... but he was batting in the middle-order. :(

He's good.....for the opposition.

Ran Shakib out, then was literally shaking when Tymal Mills was bowling at him.

its sad to see him bat now he looks over the hill and finished looks like a rabbit in headlights against any serious pace. He should announce International retirement he will embarrass himself further if he carries on.

Looking like a sitting duck against any half-decent pace. You knew it was only a matter of time before he was going to be dismissed against Tymal Mills tonight.

Surprised Zalmi haven't dropped him and Maqsood yet. Khushdil Shah must be thinking what must he do to get a game.

ZAlmi's selections have been pretty poor

For some reason I love watching Hafeez getting out and seeing his reaction. He always plays an emaulating shot when he gets out. its actually real funny to see. on the other hand he was a solid allrounder before his ban.

0, 0, 3, 16, 10, 13 - that's a progression of average 0.00, 0.00, 1.00, 4.75, 5.80, 7.00

Further improvement - now it stands at 9.14. Though, it took a bit hit in his SR, which was standing at staggering 69 - after today's rear guard, it stands at 68 now.

should reinvent his career as a bowler. sorta seems that the reflexes against pace are totally gone and takes way too much time to get settled in. even the one fifty that he scored in melbourne was a result of a drop catch on naught.

his fielding was okay but even that has gone downhill. needs some time away from cricket and maybe he can sort out his thought process.

:yk2
Mash'Allah

Bowling stats are steady & stunning though - average 8.80, economy 5.50 & SR 9.6.

No wonder MoHa bowls any more - he is holding on to this blue chip shares for the right time to sell, when market will be open.

Should not play Tests or T20s ever again.

His sole focus should be trying to make it to the ODI squad and somehow make it to the WC in 2019.

He looks mentally shot, and he's always been the kind of player to not take responsibility

Looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights when Mills came onto bowl.
