Good pace today.
There is no point in him playing domestic cricket.
He should be picked for the T20 side against the Windies.
Misbah eating him alive. Pathetic action but pace looks good.
Pace looks good? From what i watched he was bowling 130-132 clicks in his last over? If this is what our bowlers are then god help us. Whats worse is he averages 23 in Domestic Cricket.
He doesn't swing the ball but has the capability to seam the ball.No genuine pace or swing, just an awkward action and bounce. Not good enough for international cricket.
What?People who wanted him to be drafted into the national team should be held accountable. A giant trundler with Tanvir-like action, what's the hype about?
There are some technical issues he needs to sort out. If they are corrected his pace and line would become a lot more consistent.I dont mind the sixes. But repeating the same mistake again and again is a sign of immaturity as a bowler.
Just hope he doesnt go down the road of Sami and Wahab
Will not be a long-term success for Pakistan, calling it out now. Of course he will get picked and do well in his first few games with people handing out humble pies as is the trend on PP, but one must look at the bigger picture.
Another one who will flatter to deceive. Take my advice and don't pin your hopes on him.
I agree completely he may be useful in few T20s and thats all..he is not international quality and his action will not help the cause.
Ability to ball 6 yorkers is not something make you successful at international stage, but I hope he get to play domestic cricket and proof me wrong.
These T20 specialists have limited utility anyway, and not worthy of a lot of hype. The good thing is that if you perform in the PSL, you will get noticed easily, which means it has become easier to separate the wheat from the chaff. I hope Sadaf also gets his chance at some point so that we can settle his case as well.
T20 specialists are useful but unfortunately Pakistan failed to produce any of them by far. We call players like Anwar, Tanveer etc T20 specialist when they are just average cricketers whom are unfit for any other format anyways. I think a real T20 specialist like Andre Russel will do tons of good for Pakistan cricket, but unfortunately we dont even have anyone near him.
I really think it is unfair on Sadaf to see likes of Gul being selected and him being ignored in PSL.
A player like Russell would walk into our team in all three formats. He might have the reputation of a T20 specialist, but he is a million times better all-rounder than anyone in Pakistan right now.
Irfan is more than capable of seaming the ball which he has done throughout his opening spells in the PSL.I agree completely he may be useful in few T20s and thats all..he is not international quality and his action will not help the cause.

He's better suited for the longer format.
Care to elaborate? What about him isn't international quality.Even a broken clock is correct twice a day my friend....He is just not international material for me I hope I am wrong but this is not how it seems atm.
When IPL started i remember that Virat Kohli kid from RCB. He was being hyped by the Indian commentators, who kept mentioning that he is the u19 captain and what not. I still remember how terribly he batted.
Guy played 13 matches, and avg 15 only. Terrible stuff. Season 2 and 3, avg 22 and 27. ANd now look at him. In the last ipl the guy ended up scoring 4 centuries. He's already an international great.
Irfan jr had a bad match, and i know many of you will go after him and say stuff about him. But remember, this is just domestic cricket and he will learn from here
he got KP out in the first match
and look what happened today
****** KP off and he gave him a beating
whats KP suppose to do if you serve him knee height full tosses.
those were attempted yorkers, Aaqib openly said he's capable of bowling 6 yorkers, but in reality he can't and then happens what KP did
yeah he has potentialHe probably is capable. In previous games he has bowled 4-5 decent yorkers in a over near the death of the innings but it happens. Young lad and pressure got to him bowling to KP. Learning curve for him and our other youngsters.
You were so right. He is not ready yet by any stretch of imagination. Runup, follow through, use of non bowling arm, fluidity all need major work. No wonder you wanted PCB to invest 4 million rupees on him because you don't think PCB has resources to work on his deficiencies to make him world beater.Irfan needs to improve his fitness plus needs to eliminate his stagger just before delivering the ball. He stops and loses atleast 8kph because he loses momemtum. Also needs to use his non bowling arm better. If he can do that than He will become a scary 70's, 80's like tall West Indian fast bowlers. But I am sorry we don't have any Professional Coach to do these things professionally and scientifically. Give Irfan to high performance centre of Australia for 4-5 months and than see a threatening Fast bowler a strike bowler come out.

If PCB ask CA will they agree to enroll him in their High Performance centre say for 4 months ? Charging PCB around 25,000-50,000 AUD
CA rules of business allows this ?
Bowled well today. with his height he can be a very handy bowler for LOI
3 overs for 27 runs and 0 wickets.
don't go by figures bro without watching the match. Irfan Jr bowled some good yorkers at death batsmen were lucky to survive him. Amir and Wahab can't even bowl yorkers anymore.
I watched the match there were no yorkers, they were full-pitched deliveries that were smashed around.
He bats as well?
Batting at #6 today!![]()
The new Tanvir in more ways than one. Maybe Irfan also has a tool kit
Tool Kit Jnr
I honestly don't rate this guy.
He can bowl yorkers but he always ends up leaking runs.
Will probably have fitness issues with his build as well, not to mention his awkward action.
Don't understand the hype. He needs some work.
honestly all i see is the right handed tanvir
Same bowling, Same crap running, same crazy promotions, slightly better fielder
I don't want to go through that torture again for 8 years, unless he improves there is nothing to see here
Yeah, hopefully he does improve.
What irks me is the fact that Ghulam Mudassar is yet to get a game.
Good experience for Irfan.
Another product of the hype factory
Just like Hasan, Babar, Haris, Sharjeel, Handscomb, Rabada, Starc, Hazlewood and the list goes on. My track record speaks for itself.
Your net balance became zero bro when you disclosed your blind support for Junior Akmal![]()

Good experience for Irfan.
Starc was the least rated out of the Pattinson/Cummins bunch.Lol @ Babar, Haris, Starc, Hazlewood. Who didn't hype those lads?
Hoping you end up being right about Irfan but I honestly wasn't too impressed with him.
