From what I have seen on PP, there is no hype for him, only hatred.
Looks like a decent prospect to me. Has a lot to learn though to become a good player.
Certainly has better ingredients than some of the bowlers we have tried in the past like Mohammad Talha, Ehsan Adil and Asad Ali.
Hope he works hard and become a better cricketer.
He's bowled surprisingly well this game so far, interested to see how he bowls in his second spell.
Hype was tongue in cheek for the love he gets
Think he's a good bowler and should do well
What pace did he bowled today?
To me he looks like someone who can be effective in white ball cricket at this stage of his career.
I can see a few minor adjustments to his bowling action already which have helped him.

I like him.
He has got potential.
However Hasnain needs to be above Rauf and Musa.
That guy has some serious pace!
Misbah seems to really like him across all formats.
I must admit I am surprised that he has already played for Pakistan in all three formats.
If he can reliably contribute 15 runs in limited overs, he will essentially become our version of Sam Curran.
Although he is yet to do anyone for pace or even look quick except on the speed. I could swear he is the slowest 90mph in the history of the game.
I wonder what misbah sees in him that hes been been picked in practically every squad over the last year or so
Because hes domestically hes done nothing to deserve this
Haha true that. Don’t know why.
Maybe Pacy with wisdom can explain...
What do the management see in him ? FC and List A averages above 40, yet he has played all three formats ?
It clearly shows how bad coach is Waqar. Doesn't have an eye for talent. Also Waqar doesn't have any talent to teach others. As a bowling coach Waqar is even worse than Walsh.
I try not to make extreme sweeping statements, but I can't help with Musa Khan (and obviously Faheem Ashraf) . .
To be successful as a fast bowler, other than having a brain and being mentally/physically strong, you need to either move the ball (seam or swing) . . you need to have extreme pace (150 kph avg) . . or you need to have height so you can get extra bounce . . Good bowlers will have at least one of the three and be very good at it . . great bowlers will have 2 or more of these qualities . . exceptional cases are those who become absolute masters of one like a James Anderson . .
Musa has none of these qualities . . and with that action and run up, there is no way he will become even half decent . . he almost needs an IK sort of resurrection wherein he realizes with that action and run up, he isn't getting anywhere . .
So let me make an extreme prediction . . Musa will not get anywhere in his career . . his seletion is enough for me to question Misbah's selection policy and vision! Hell, I'd prefer Faheem Ashraf playing only as a bowler to Musa! He needs to be discarded ASAP for his own good and sent back to domestic to do some serious work! Either come back like a Shaun Tait bowling crazy pace or learn how to seam the ball (cuz he can't swing it with that action)
Misbah and Waqar are drunk on pace.
If Waqar seriously rates this guy, he is more foolish than I thought he was. This guy has absolutely no skill to speak of, and on top of it, he's probably the shortest pacer in the world. I'm sorry but Musa doesn't have a future in international cricket unless he can bowl 150+ regularly.
The time being wasted on him is better invested on Akif Javed, who is twice the bowler this guy is. Nothing against Musa personally, I'm sure he's a good kid, but this has to stop immediately.
He is a slightly better version of Bilawal Bhatti.
And the problem of vert short fast bowlers is, they go for plenty quite often.
He should not be playing for Pakistan just because he can bowl over 140 kph. He is a canon fodder with the lack of bounce and also a spray gun. If management wants a random youngster then pick Arshad Iqbal. He bowls around around 135kph, accurate and generates good bounce because of his height.
Average. I don’t know what Misbah see’s in him because he hasn’t done anything of note at the domestic level either.
At least Hasnain topped the PSL charts, Naseem did well in the QeA in the 6-7 games he played and Haris has performed in the National T20 and BBL as well. What’s this midget done?
Well the entire point of the dual role was that he’d be held accountable for selection and the teams performance. It’s his squad, so it was his decision. That was proberly waqar decision

Misbah does seem to have an obsession with him. He has been given a debut each of the formats now, without any real performances to merit selection. It's not his fault though that he has been fast tracked like this. He needs to play a lot more domestic games and he should only be considered for T20's atm (maybe that's even a stretch).

His height was always going to be a disadvantage.
Needs to be at the least 85% accurate to survive international cricket. Once Hasan Ali lost it because of injuries or overconfidence he became a cannon folder.
I would rather invest in taller options like Akif Javed.
I don't think height is his biggest problem.
He is very raw, needs more cricket before he plays international cricket.
