Mohammad Rizwan - the next white-ball captain of Pakistan?

I know that effective captaincy depends on some of other factors as well like
1- Technical Acumen
2- Leadership qualities
3- Communication skills
4- Player management etc.
However, a wicket keeper with above mentioned qualities will have an extra advantage due to his unique field position.

Yeah you’ve got to care about your team first as captain

Not yourself. A Babar fan should have learned this lesson by now.
 
Mohammad Rizwan has been announced as Pakistan's new white-ball captain.

Salman Ali Agha is the new white-ball vice-captain.
 
Let's see how he does. Don't think there was any other choice after what they did to Shaheen.
 
The expected announcement, I don't think anyone would have thought any different for who the front runner was. Let's see how he does.
 
All the best to Rizwan with his new leadership role.

Australian series may not be easy but other series are quite winnable.

Leadership is not we learn in books and slides rather its a very emotional personal and egoistic trait. Every leader has some positives and negatives the key to success is you must overpower your weakness to your strength, taking all along as a leader is a very crucial trait and not many have this quality even the likes of Kohli to settle as skipper had to drop Gambhir.

Wasim.Akram for good part of his captaincy kept Waqar Younis away from team and other countless examples in cricket, Butttler dropping Roy.

Chris Gayle never had the same ambition for WI once he was relinquish from captaincy. But expecting sanity from PCB is like insanity.

Those who are giving sweeping statements on captaincy and chopping changing , majority of them have never been in Leadership role or worked as leader.

He is also a total fake and a mediocre player. At least Babar is not fake and is a very good player.

If you are going to offer me Rizwan as an alternative I would rather stick with Babar.

Shame he doesn’t post often.
 
RIzwan is history now in t20s... Time to move on from him. He was never the right person to be made T20 captain this time. If it has to be salman then he should have been made before,

Ihtesaab e ha ye... SALMAN is your new captain..,. you should be happy... I don't think Salman deserves it as well but it is what it is.

That’s a separate matter. I will address him when the time comes.

Rizwan will not get away scott free. I will not allow it.

He'll be back. We have a National T20 cup and PSL coming up. Rizwan's best format is T20s and he will as usual excel in those tournaments to bounce back stronger.

My only criticism of him is that he should've been a more authoritative captain and should've stamped his presence to build his own team.

"I was very disappointed with Mohammad Rizwan. You are the captain of the team. When the team was winning, you never said anything like that. But after the loss, you said in the press conference that you were only following the instructions of the selection committee and the coach. I really didn’t like hearing that.

Exactly. I wouldn’t want that kind of attitude from Shaheen as a captain, and I know he won’t do that. That’s not his style. If he makes a decision, he will take full responsibility for it.

He and the coach should work together to build the team, especially with the World Cup coming up. I don’t want to see Shaheen later saying in a press conference that nothing was in his hands. When a leader says something like that, it shows he doesn’t deserve to be captain.

I’m sure Shaheen will make his own decisions. People may like them or not, but at least he will take responsibility and lead the team himself."

Any Misbah ul haq recruit or his friend won’t last too long. Tuktuk era should be burned . Anyone who does Tuktuk in odi or t20 should be kicked out of Pakistan cricket .
