I still don't understand what was happening. He had the ball caught in his legs and he was just staring at Moeen completely frozen. Please Rizwan should never be dropped

I can sympathize with Sarfraz but continuing the "shabash shabash" chants right after youve missed an easy stumping is just downright annoying.
He stood frozen there for a good 3 seconds with Moeen still out of his crease. Wth was he doing??

Rizwan is an absolute gun in the field and probably better with the bat.
Sarfraz almost cost us the game today. But I feel for Sarfraz, looks down on confidence. The way he was removed from captaincy wasn't the right way. Looks shadow of a presence he was on the field (for better or for worse). Looks a lot more confident in PSL.
He needs to work a lot on his fitness, keeping and esp batting. He was a pretty good tactician though. I liked how he used to choke the opposition while chasing the target with his bowling changes.
Should be given confidence by the management.
What Saifi brings to the table is keeping the bowlers on their toes. You cannot deny that his instructions and encouragement from behind the stumps has no impact on the bowler. With a meek captain like Babar, I think this attribute is quite important.
However, Saifi is not as good a keeper or batsman as Rizwan. His mistakes behind the stumps, like the one today, can cost us games.
Weighing both the options, I'd say Rizwan has a slightly stronger case for T20s and ODI while he's the obvious choice for Tests
This entire tour has only exposed the cricketing world to how good Mohammad Rizwan really is.
An absolute wicketkeeping masterclass on this tour.
The international cricket days of Sarfaraz are pretty much limited at this point. Perhaps they are already over.
We should get a younger backup keeper that has been fantastic in the domestic scene, like Umar Siddiq.
Rizwan is better with the bat in tests and maybe odis but not t20s obvs better keeper than sarfraz.
There is daylight between his and Rizwan’s WK at the moment.
This should be his last match in international cricket but it won’t be for obvious reasons.
After he nearly cost pakistan an easily won match? Some of you guys baffle meKeep Sarfraz for t20s. Rizwan for odis and tests.
Lol what is that obvious reason?
He is a senior and former captain, plus he has friends in the media too. He will be dragged a long for a couple of years even though you don’t need to pick two WKs most of the time.
Why was Rizwan dropped?
Some injury?
Did he just forget about stumping? Or couldn’t get hold of the ball?
Well, I think the reality comes from the squad selection.
Wasim got it right on commentary — if you pick very experienced players like Malik, Sarfraz, Wahab, Hafeez in the squad you are almost obliged to play them. If you don’t intend to, then you might as well have some youngsters in the squad, in their place, who will gain from the experience of being on the periphery of the team.
It worked amazingly well with Hafeez and Wahab— Malik was a ridiculous pick, as to be fair is Sarfraz.
Rizwan should be the keeper in all formats.
Sarfraz is much better option than Rizwan or Pant in ODIs and T20s

But but we were told that there is no one better than Sarfraz.
I don't see the point of Sarfraz being in the white-ball squads, they may as well include the likes of Rohail and give him experience in and around the senior squad.
Are they just keeping Sarfraz in the squad just to keep him happy and repay him for Pakistan winning the Champions Trophy under his leadership.
There are 2 main reasons for MR Success-hard work and the competition from Safaraz. It's easy to dismiss SA success and achievement because MR has been better but its the competition that has driven him to be better. If you look at the decline of our WKs its normally related to the lack of competition from other WKs. Moin and Rashid pushed each other, with Moin generally the better batsman and RL the better WK. If Safaraz goes from the team MR will fall away.

do you not rate rohail at all ?
We need Rizwan vs Umar Akmal next to really propel Riz to the next level.![]()
Sarfaraz playing a 360 innings
Doesn’t depend on middle and leg stump balls only
You could have just written "I didn't watch the Rizwan innings". The subtlety is unnecessary
