Mohammad Rizwan versus Sarfaraz Ahmed

Really bad bowling by PZ though, just fed on to Sarfaraz to score, almost seemed fishy tbh.

Sarfaraz cannot hit down the ground to save his life and it doesn't have to be spot on yorkers, even overpitched deliveries work against him, but yet they kept feeding him width and short of good length stuff.

I don’t need to watch it to tell you his scoring region is deep Square leg and fine leg. The odd hack to deep mid wicket also

Well now you can watch it and explain how the leg side hack fluked those drives and cuts.

ah rana this explains a lot.... maybe watch rizwans innings in future before repeating the same boring points

Not bad. Looks like he’s been reading my criticism of him on PP

Sarfaraz's 3 boundaries in a row vs Imran:

both batted very well today... to have both of them in form is only a good thing tbh

personally i would keep rizwan in the starting XI as he has shown he can open and i feel having safu open or bat at 5 is not ideal and obviously hafeez has secure the no.4 spot but post wt20 when i think hafeez is likely to retire maybe sarfraz can come in at 4?

Wow! Terrible bowling

Not even a question that Rizwan is the better keeper and batsman. Sarfraz the better captain though.

That was a proud effort by Sarfaraz! What an excellent innings by him. I´m pretty sure that I´ve never seen him bat so well before in life. Very happy for him. I´ve got nothing, absolutely nothing, against Rizwan, who too is having a dream run of late, but I´m not too appreciative of how Sarfaraz is being blamed of late for everything going wrong in Pakistan since 1947. I hope that he goes on to pull off more of such amazing innings.

Instead of constantly putting them at each others throats, let's be grateful the days of Kamran Akmal, Zulqi Haider and Humayun Farhat being the only keeping options in international cricket is behind us.

Hafeez isn't going anywhere until 2023.

Rizwan falls for 43 trying to hit a big one

4 sixes in a row from Sarfaraz! As the wickets tumble around him, he is on fire for Quetta once again vs Islamabad

And Sarfaraz brings up another 50 after just 31 balls

Sarfraz is doing well atm but believe me, he will become complacent once again when he knows that his position isn't under any threat. We don't need any timid players like him in Pakistan's team

Rizwan is the present & future of Pakistan's cricket team.

Sarfaraz goes for 54 from 41 balls. Couldn't carry Quetta to the end of the innings

Rizwan is here to stay.
But if Sarfaraz keeps up his good form he can make a case for himself in middle order instead of Iftikhar, Malik, Khushdil and co.

There is an influential lobby within and close to Pakistan cricket who are very keen to sideline Rizwan and get Sarfraz back as the first choice pick as wk/batsman.

Rizwan has done a bit too well for some and taken his chance too well for them.

Let's see how this goes.

Rizwan looked very disturbed and short of confidence this series - or I may be wrong. Very unlike him.

It is actually a good thing for 2 keepers to be competing - it is a bad thing when that happens due to politics and not merit.

Whos this lobby saj? Is this within the team management?

Its disgusting if politics is being played with selection rather than it being merit based

I don't think Rizwan has done "too well" or "taken his chance too well" in ODI cricket.

Rizwan just needs to build an innings i think at the moment he is getting confused on how to play attack or build an innings
