Hasin Jahan, wife of ace Indian pacer Mohammad Shami, triggered a massive controversy on Wednesday as she publicly accused her husband of torture and extramarital affairs with multiple women. When told about Shami reacting to her allegations as a conspiracy against him, Hasin told ABP News, "Shami is the one who is a liar. I feel there's a conspiracy from Shami's end. Or it could also be a conspiracy from Pakistan. " When asked why she mentioned Pakistan, Hasin added, "Because Alishba is a girl who lives in Karachi in Pakistan. Shami calls her, books a room for her, has relations with her. Then Shami tells that Alishba also gave him money. Mohammad Bhai, who stays in UK, got money delivered through Alishba to Shami. "

Hasin, who has been married to Shami since 2014, went a step ahead as she said that the 27-year-old can also cheat the country, the way he has cheated her.

"If he can cheat upon me, he can cheat the country as well," she added.

Hasin also questioned Shami's intention of receiving money from Alishba despite being paid by BCCI annually.

"I have a recording with me where Shami said that he took money. Who is Mohammad Bhai? What does he do? What's the connection of taking money from Alishba? Why is he giving money to Shami? When BCCI gives him white money via cheque, what kind of money is this?" she said.

Soon after Hasin made the allegations, the BCCI dropped Shami from their Annual Player Contracts in the new pay structure which was announced on Wednesday.

"The BCCI has taken cognisance of all the reports emerging about Mohammed Shami's personal life. It is purely a personal matter and the BCCI has nothing to do with it. However, keeping in mind that the woman in question has met the police commissioner of Kolkata, it is only prudent on BCCI's part to wait for any official inquiry to take place," an official was quoted as saying by PTI.

More she speaks, the more its clear that she is trying to extort money out of Shami as the marriage is on the rocks and she wont get much according to the law.

In an interview which is on youtube she claims she knows Mohammad Bhai, has met her and that he is a pious man, no she says he is helping Shami fix.
 
Shami's wife seems to be in massive revenge mode.

So many allegations against Shami. I hope she has all the proof to present in the court. If she fails to provide evidence, then Shami should not go easy on her. His career, reputation and future are at stake here.
 
Kolkata Police have charged India pacer Mohammed Shami and his brother with IPC sections related to rape, domestic violence and causing hurt with poison following a complaint by Hasin Jahan, the cricketer’s wife. (NIdahas Trophy full coverage)

The sections invoked against the 27-year-old pacer, who made his debut in November 2013, include 307 (attempt to murder), 498A (domestic violence), 506 (criminal intimidation), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison), 34 (acts by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and 376 (rape). The last section was brought against Shami’s elder brother.

“My husband’s elder brother, Hasib Ahmad, raped me when I went to my in-law’s place in Uttar Pradesh last year,” said Jahan on Friday morning.

Some sections are non-bailable and carry prison terms of 10 years or more.

Kolkata Police commissioner Rajeev Kumar and joint commissioner (crime) Praveen Kumar Tripathi did not respond to calls and text messages.

“I have been informed by Kolkata Police officers over phone that they have slapped non-bailable sections against Shami and starting a case against him,” said Zakir Hossain, Jahan’s lawyer.

Shami and Jahan got married on April 7, 2014, about two years after they met at a party of the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012. They have a two-and-a-half-year old daughter.

Jahan said around noon on Friday that she was yet to be called by the police for recording her statement.

Though Shami hails from Uttar Pradesh, he represents Bengal in domestic cricket. He lives with his wife and daughter near upscale South City Mall in south Kolkata.

The cricketer’s contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India was put on hold after Jahan’s allegations against Shami surfaced on Tuesday.

“What is being said about my personal life is completely false. It’s definitely part of a big conspiracy against me. This is just an attempt to defame me,” said Shami in a tweet on Wednesday from Dharamshala where he was playing the Deodhar Trophy which ended on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Jahan and her lawyer Zakir Hossain met police commissioner Rajeev Kumar and filed the complaint against Shami. She and her daughter are now staying at the apartment where they used to live. “It is my right. Why should I vacate it?” she asked.

She also claimed that her parents and brother have refused to support her in her fight against her husband. “He has affairs with multiple women. Many are from other parts of India while some are residents of Pakistan and countries in Europe. He used to spend time with them in different hotels while on tour. He used to chat with them using video apps,” alleged Jahan on Wednesday before filing her police complaint.

She also alleged that Shami has been physically and verbally abusing her for the past two years.

Things need to be proved in a court of law. Until then Shami is innocent.

And what was she doing after being raped last year. How will rape be proven after 1 year?

Agreed. Recently a cousin of actor Jitendra has filed a case of sexual harassment against him 45 years after it allegedly happened . Sometimes people tend to forget these small things due to workload and other priorities.
 
Mohammed Shami's wife releases audio tape of her phone conversation, claims 'he took money from Pakistani girl Alishba'

After alleging India fast bowler Mohammed Shami of domestic violence and infidelity, his wife Hasin Jahan made another shocking revelation on Friday in which she alleged the pacer of involved in match-fixing also. Jahan alleged that Shami took money also from a Pakistani girl named Alishba, and the amount was delivered to him by a man called Mohammad Bhai, who stays in the United Kingdom.

Jahan has released an exclusive audio tape of her alleged phone conversation with the cricketer, in which he agreed that he has taken money from the girl in Pakistan. The cricketer, however, added in the alleged conversation that the money was transferred to him by his friend 'Mohammad' who lives in England.

"Shami is the one who is a liar. I feel there's a conspiracy from Shami's end. Or it could also be a conspiracy from Pakistan," Hasin was quoted by a news channel.

On being quizzed why she mentioned Pakistan in her statements, Hasin said, "Because Alishba is a girl who lives in Karachi in Pakistan. Shami calls her, books a room for her, has relations with her. Then Shami tells that Alishba also gave him money. Mohammad Bhai, who stays in UK, got money delivered through Alishba to Shami."

Hasin also went a step ahead and claimed that the 27-year-old cricketer can cheat the country in the same way he has cheated on her.

She also questioned Shami's intention asking why did her husband receive money from Alishba when he is getting a handsome amount being paid by BCCI every year.

When BCCI gives him white money via cheque, what kind of money is this?" she asked while levelling charges against her cricketer husband.

Earlier, the BCCI withheld Shami's contract after the controversy erupted when his wife blamed him for extra-marital affairs and domestic violence.

His wife was accusing him of cheating and posted some of his alleged whatsapp convos with girls local and pakistani on the social media. Maybe he got into an altercation and confronted her as to why she posted it online for all to see, and things got heated... i feel the wife is exaggerating things to teach him a lesson, looking at the series of events....

(i am just narrating, not passing any judgements, or taking sides).... last line is what i think it might be, i could be wrong...

Shami for sure did something wrong, but how much wrong ?
His wife is in revenge mode and if she can prove some of the allegation, then shami is in real trouble.

revenge of desi wife can be devastating.
I have seen cases where a small matter destroyed man's life. I want to see what the feminist of india will react to this case. Interesting case because of the some of so called feminist would have hard time in this particular case.

Does she not know that she has to prove all this in the court now? If Shami is proven guilty then he should be punished but if he comes out clean then Indian Court should make an example out of her wife. It is easy to accuse someone of rape but if its a false case women should also be put behind the bars.

She is making her case weak. She wanted media attention and now cooking up stories. Not every story of her looks believable here. I think Shami will have the last laugh here.
 
She has made several allegations. If it was one or two things, it could have been a total lie. But here, there are many things, so surely at least some of it should be true.
 
To me he was the best Indian seamer, it would be a shame if all this hinders his career

infidelity is not a crime. But if rape, physical and mental harassment are proven true then Shami will be in hot water.

Though no point speculating now.

I have a feeling that Shami did a couple of things but his wife is throwing everything at him, some of which may not be true.
 
Cricketer Mohammed Shami has called for a ‘thorough investigation’ into the claims made by his wife Hasin Jahan following which a police complaint was filed and subsequently an FIR registered at a Kolkata police station. On Friday he was booked for attempt to murder or rape by the police.

“There have been many accusations which are increasing day-by-day. I don’t want to give an explanation about it and I want it to be investigated thoroughly,” he told news agency ANI on Sunday.

Kolkata Police had booked Shami and his family members under non bailable sections of the penal code on Friday. Shami’s mother Anjuman-Ara-Begum, brother Hasib Ahamed, Hasib’s wife Shama and Shabina Ahjum, Shami’s sister are among those who have been named in the FIR. The FIR has been lodged under section 498 A (Husband or relative of Husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 307 (attempt to murder), 376(rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison), 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC. As per police sources, Shami’s brother has been booked under section 376 of IPC on the basis of the complaint of Jahan who alleged that he had touched her inappropriately.

Following the allegations made by his wife, Shami was not named in the list of players receiving the annual contract. However, Shami said he was not perturbed by that at the moment. “Have full faith on BCCI, whatever decision they take will be after much deliberation and investigation. Kolkata Police on Saturday retrieved an audio clip of a supposed conversation between Shami and Jahan. Later, members of the women’s grievance cell met Jahan and recorded her statement.

Jahan had alleged on March 7 that the India bowler abused her physically and mentally while also claiming that he is also involved in several extra-marital affairs. The duo got married in 2014.

At Mohammed Shami’s village, disbelief at a fairytale gone wrong

AMROHA: They were in many ways the first family of Amroha. A local boy who graduated from plastic ball cricket to the dizzy heights of international matches and the beautiful woman he married and returned home with. As the marriage of Mohammed Shami and Hasin Jahan disintegrates in the public eye, with the cricketer facing serious charges including attempt to murder and rape, the residents of Sahaspur Ali Nagar, 20 km from Moradabad in Amroha district, contemplate the end of their own fairytale.

When Shami and Hasin visited Sahaspur and stayed at his family’s house, or zipped around on a motorcycle visiting the local sights, their neighbours and relatives would invite them home. Some distance outside Sahaspur is a plot, named ‘Hasin Farmhouse’, after the cricketer’s wife. Locals say the couple planned to build a house at the sprawling plot.

But just as Amroha was basking in the glory of its own celebrity couple, things started unravelling. Today there is disbelief all around at the sequence of events.

“How could this be? Just a month ago they visited and looked happy. Hasin was treated like a princess by the entire village in the four years of their marriage,” says Aasma Jahan, a 65-year-old relative of Shami.

Jabir Hussain, 32, Shami’s childhood friend who played street cricket with him says, “It is difficult to believe the allegations made against him. I remember he took on trolls online when they criticised Hasin for wearing modern clothes.”

Immediate family members are, however, tightlipped on the allegations. “We are in the middle of a crisis and efforts are on to resolve it. Currently, Shami’s uncle, brother and a few others are in Kolkata to sort out the matter. His mother Anjumara is very ill. We can’t make any statement at present,” said a relative, on condition of anonymity.

However, a comparatively newly constructed portion of an old house situated in the narrow lanes of the village speaks volumes about the stark difference in the living standards of its occupants. On the one hand is an old-time dwelling with a ‘chulha’ at the corner of the courtyard, while on the other side is a room equipped with the latest gadgets and means of comfort.

“This is Hasin’s room that Shami got made for her. Whenever they visited from Kolkata, we were on our toes to ensure they had a pleasant stay. It is difficult to believe allegations of torture or assault,” said Irfan Ahmad, a relative of Shami who is currently staying in the house as most of the family members have left in order to avoid media attention.

Kolkata: Amid match-fixing allegation made by Hasin Jahan against her cricketer husband Mohammed Shami, Kolkata police has sent a letter to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to know his travel details after the last T20 match in South Africa.

This latest development has been confirmed to News18 by a senior Kolkata Police officer, who spoke on conditions of anonymity. Mohammed Shami's last match on the tour to South Africa was the third Test in Johannesburg, in which the pacer played a starring role to help India register a victory.

In the wake of the allegations made by the cricketer's wife, the BCCI has kept Shami’s contract on hold.

Speaking to News18 on the issue of Shami's contract, Ushanath Banerjee, Ombudsman-cum-ethics Officer of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and former BCCI principal legal advisor, said, “I don’t know that exact reason on why his contract was put on hold by the BCCI. But if the reason is his recent controversies with his wife, then I think this is illogical. No way BCCI can hold someone’s contract on hold on this ground.”

“If there are some serious charges against him which violates BCCI rules then I see there is a genuine reason. But based on mere allegations poured by his wife – BCCI cannot hold back his contract. This will led to serious impact on Shami’s performance in future matches,” he added.

On March 8, Hasin – who alleged that her husband is having illicit affairs with several women – claimed that Shami (on his way back from South Africa last month) had stayed at a hotel in Dubai while the rest of his teammates returned to India.

She has also alleged that Shami could be involved in match fixing as he accepted money from a Pakistani girl named Alisbah in Dubai. “He agreed to accept the money after being convinced by one England-based Mohammed Bhai. There is a proof. This could be linked to match fixing. Shami checked into a hotel on February 18 with the woman. He came back to India the next day,” she had said.

Hasin was a former Kolkata-based model and cheerleader for an IPL team. She met Shami in 2011 and got married. The couple has a four-year-old daughter Airah.

She uploaded screenshots of her husband’s texts/photographs with other women on social media platform and that is how the entire episode came in the public domain.

Hasin went a step further against her husband and alleged that she was even forced by Shami to have physical relationship with his brother.

Meanwhile, the cricketer has rubbished all the allegations. “I always stood beside her and I don’t know why she is behaving like this now. I still believe that the issue could be reslved through talks.”

On match fixing charges, he had said, “I will prefer to die than involved in such anti-national act.”

Last week, based on Hasin’s complaint of domestic violence and infidelity - the Kolkata Police booked Shami and four of his family members under various non-bailable and bailable sections. Shami’s brother has been also been booked with an additional charge of sexual assault.

The case was registered under non-bailable sections 307 (attempt to murder), 498-A (subjecting a woman to cruelty), 376 (punishment for rape), 323 (causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
